Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
'Hmph'-ing softly, Arxingall settled back down, twisting his body back so he could curl himself back into a warm ball. He sighed through his nose gently, shutting his eyes and searching the area with his senses. The only thing he felt was the presence of still Dina and Equpos, and then 'watchful' Azlada. Monsters in the distance were sensible, but he couldn't quite point out where. He just knew they were there, and not just because he walked through here often enough. When monsters were around, there was a chill in the air, even hints of despair from the deaths they'd caused. It took a little getting used to from new fighters, and it only touched Arxingall when all was still, and his mind had little else to think of. He drifted off slowly, the same pace he always fell asleep.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada sighed as well when Arxingall settled down again to go to sleep. Truth be told, he would rather have the other elf to talk to than nobody. He hated being on watch, but he knew he had to take his shift. It was only fair. It was silent around the camp, other than the growling of a few of the bears in the area, and sometimes a bat could be heard. The orcs and gargoyles were farther off, but their cries could be heard through the night. Gargoyled made a rather eerie sound in the dead of the night. He shuddered slightly as one shrieked in the distance, looking up from the fire at the darkness around the camp.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Arxingall woke up, shivering lightly. What had he been dreaming? He couldn't even remember. Most of the time he had nightmares, usually it was something involving him or his sister dying. This? He couldn't remember, but he was nearly sure it hadn't been a nightmare. He looked around the camp, the fire half dead, flames flickered weakly. The pit needed more wood added. He looked to Azlada, who was slumped over, sleeping on his post. He had guessed already the elf would have fallen asleep or something. He walked around him to the tent Equpos was in. He cleared his throat gently before tapping on the tent cover. Soon enough the paladin stuck his head out, surprised at how much sleep he'd gotten. "Your post. You can leave him sleeping there or whatever you'd like." Arxingall grabbed his stuff and left for Moon Blind Swamp. Fog had settled over the early morning, he disappeared in the distance soon. The white knight ran a hand through dark hair before rousing the remaining elf. He'd have to tell Dina the lavender haired elf had left early. He'd have to deal with a few minutes of whining before another elf came along, or if she took interest this remaining blonde one.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada had sat through most of his post, staring at the fire or looking around, reaching for his sword a few times, but nothing had happened. Once or twice he caught himself looking at Arxingall, and almost admiring him. He looked rather nice in the lighting from the fire, but he had scolded himself and shook his head, blaming it on his tiredness. A bit later he had fallen asleep, propped up against his arm, his body slouched over. Sooner than he would have liked, he was roused by Equpos. "Huh? What's going on? Oh. . . is my post over? Sorry. . ." he slurred out, getting to his feet and moving to where he had been sleeping before, dragging his sword along in one hand before dropping it, almost collapsing back into sleep.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Arxingall wandered a bit in the gloomy darkness of Moon Blind Swamp. It was odd that after about Moon Blind Forest, places got darker and scarier, maybe it was the level of strength and evilness of monsters that grew heavier. By Luna's laws, fighters could kill each other by Red Orc and The Way to the Howling Ravine. Those places were threatening for the reason of betrayal, treason, whatever. Those places had more death around them than any of the other places, which was just plain depressing. Had Azlada been around here before? Did he feel the spite in the air of these locations? Arxingall couldn't imagine why he was thinking this. He never cared if other people could feel this.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada woke up a few hours later, when the sun started to actually rise. He rubbed his eyes and sighed, getting to his feet and stretching. Equpos and Dina were both already awake. He sold a few things to Dina and bought some more potions, and then talked to the paladin, who sent him off to Moon Blind Swamp to kill off some Orc Archers. He sighed again and headed off, killing the Lava Golems that got in his way. Arriving in the swamp, he proceeded to strip off his armor, wanting to switch into his newer set, which he thought looked pretty awesome.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Arxingall had been training and killing things for the Hunter society. Within the span that he'd been up and out, he'd completed twice the amount of monsters he was originally supposed to take down. Stripped Lizardmen down, and now he was assigned to fighting archers. Fifty archers, which, if he wasn't careful, could overpower him. They walked in large masses, making it difficult to pick off one by one. They all fought at a distance, so fighting one meant you were fighting three or more too. He was nearing the entrance of the Swamp, it was safe here to rest, and maybe he'd go sell the things he'd acquired that he didn't want to carry. He walked closer to find the blonde elf, whom he had assumed was going somewhere else at a different time, stripping in public. His eyes widened a fraction and he cleared his throat to get the elf's attention. "Just because there's no one around at the time you undress, doesn't mean there won't be later."
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada was down to his boxers when he heard someone's approach, not that he cared. He didn't even look up until he heard whoever it was clear their throat. He raised an eyebrow when he saw Arxingall standing there. "Does it look like I care?" he asked, putting his hands on his hips. It wasn't like he was self concious of his body or something. His nicely toned muscles from years of training as a warrior were nothing to be ashamed of. "Just because I'm stripping doesn't mean you have to watch though" he grinned, tilting his chin up slightly.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"I wasn't watching you," Arxingall said, looking away subtly. "Watching would require a desire to stare." Arxingall didn't need to stare, but he had noticed Azlada had a smaller frame than his armor claimed. He was still muscular, sure, but the armor made him look loads more bulkier. "Obviously you don't care if people walk over to see you nearly naked then," he said, "and you apparently have no shame. If a female were to witness this, a man half naked, it''s simply indecent." Arxinall had seen lazier fighters just sleeping half naked to naked anywhere. It could be worse. He generally avoided them, they creeped him out to an extent.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Liar" Azlada said instantly, noticing the way he looked away. He had no problem, and the back of his head made him want Arxingall to look back at him, which shocked him a bit. "Why should I care? I have nothing to hide. I thought we already had an argument about how many people want me?" he raised an eyebrow. "Indecent my ass. I'm still wearing boxers" he shrugged, finding this perfectly okay. He wasn't flashing anybody at least.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Scoffing mildly, Arxingall let his gaze peek up once and back down. "Formality says half nudity is indecent anyways." Not that Azlada would understand formality or politeness. Maybe Arxingall was a semi-prude, but it didn't matter, by Luna's sight, it was counted indecent. Shirts missing, not so much, maybe. Pants, definitely. Naked? That was asking for trouble from a local paladin or someone. The merchant girls usually liked a show though. They didn't do much afterward except for getting excited and cheering, but they didn't care much for indecency. Luna be offended should a male strip in front of her, though.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada was sure he had caught another look from the other elf, and he could feel a sort of giddy smile starting on his face, which he quickly wiped away, almost astonished with himself. "I really don't care about formality, unless it's necessary" he shrugged. He would used formality with Luna, and that was about it. He didn't like to be formal with things, but he could tell that Arxingall was a firm believer in that. "Well, you know you like it anyways" he stretched his arms above his head, not really meaning much by the gesture, just needing to stretch, even if it seemed to accentuate what he had been saying.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"If that helps you sleep at night, and on your post," Arxingall said with a shrug. "You must tell yourself a lot of things to help yourself sleep. It must be why you sleep so much." He didn't think he'd be trusting Azlada to keep watch anymore. Maybe the next time they met up like this -why did he think they would?- he'd stay up and keep watch. He'd get sleep somewhere else trustworthy. That couldn't be that hard to find, it just had to be some place Azlada wasn't keeping watch.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada rolled his eyes, still pretty sure he was lying, if he was checking him out. Even if he was trying not to make it obvious. "What, don't you tell yourself things like that ever?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Most people thought they were at least somewhat attractive. Unless they were insecure. But Arxingall didn't seem like the insecure type. "I do not sleep too much, I just did a lot yesterday. I don't normally fall asleep on my watch. It just happened to be the time you were around" he defended himself frowning. He didn't care that he was still standing around in his boxers.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"There's no point in telling myself that if it does nothing beneficial," Arxingall told him, seeing as Arxingall was trying to make it clear to the other elf that he only did things that meant something in the end. Talking to himself at night in reassurance was certainly not one of them. Never mind him pitching a minor fit on sleeping now, he was still in his undergarments, and only undergarments. Arxingall would find it odd to be able to look at him only after he was dresses again, and if Azlada wasn't a complete twit, he'd notice Arxingall's regained ability to do so as well. "Get dressed," he said, turning around casually as he turned back to the rest of Moon Blind Swamp. Now he didn't think he'd be leaving here, or sitting at the entrance for a break. He'd just go back and take the archer mission.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada thought it was benificial, even if he didn't actually tell himself that. He knew he was attractive, whether it helped him sleep or not. Arxingall was just in denial, clearly, if he had been checking him out. "Whatever" he rolled his eyes, not bothering to argue anymore. He knew how long their arguments could go on for. And he just wanted to get the quest done. He hated Moon Blind Swamp. He pulled on boring brown pants and a matching shirt, and pulled the heavy plate armor over his head, the metal clinking together as it settled into place, soon followed by his matching boots and gauntlets. He flexed his fingers a bit and picked up his sword, starting forward to take out the orcs.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Walking off towards the bulletin board and the other bird boy by the tree, Arxingall readied his bow, not fully healed or having fully restored mana. He'd take a break later, he just needed to be busy now to get Azlada's form out of his head. If he looked busy too, Azlada might have a lesser chance of noticing his staring thing. He did his best to keep away from gang ups, since three or more archer orcs were hard to take care of. Two, sure, fast work if he did it right.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada headed straight to the orcs, trying to forget he had ever run into Arxingall here. He hated using a short range weapon against archers, but he didn't have a choice here. He sighed and charged right into battle, attacking the orcs quickly, hoping to kill them off before too many could attack him. Worst thing was that he could be attacked by many at the same time, and they could all be pretty far away, and he had to go to them to hurt them. Complete BS, he thought.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Turning to face Azlada, who was oddly fighting the same monsters as he, he shot an archer who had noticed him, leaving the rest to him. He wasn't his babysitter, Azlada could watch himself. Arxingall had a few massing up on him, he had to take care of them before the number of them got larger, quicker. He took out the two surrounding him. He had loads more to go through. This was going to take a while, unfortunately. How many more to go exactly? More than forty, less than what he started with, which had been fifty.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada sighed in slight irritation when he saw the lavender haired elf join him in fighting. For some reason, his very presence distracted him from what he was doing. While fighting anything, that was a really bad idea. He had taken out about seven when he needed to stop for a moment, needing to take a few potions. He could feel the arrows unfortunately stuck in his wings, and he winced, running back to the entrance to sit and take them out. It was always a struggle for him, since he couldn't always reach, his armor making it even harder for him.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Distracted by Azlada getting hit from him taking a brief break like a moron and not eliminating any enemy around him first, he allowed himself to be an open target. Arxingall felt himself wince on the inside. Wings were one of the most painful things to get something lodged in. It was hard to get that object out too, because they couldn't reach their wings very well. Just as the thought crossed his mind, he felt the piercing sting of an arrowhead penetrating his own fine feathers. He growled low in his throat, he spun around and shot the archer, and the others around him. He turned heel and followed for the entrance. A potion would take the damage away, but he'd have to ask a favor for a favor on taking out the arrow.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada bent his arm in the weird way that was necessary to even touch his wings, let alone get the arrow out, but he still couldn't find the shafts for the stupid arrows stuck in his wings. He glanced up to see Arxingall had followed after him. He could see the arrows in the other elf's white wings, and realized he had the same problem. It really was a pain getting arrows in places that were nearly impossible to get them out of, and that were very sensitive. He muttered a few choice words under his breath.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Whatever the blonde elf had said it had slipped past Arxingall's pointed ears. Reasons being he was distracted and somewhat embarrassed he too had been distracted in the midst of battle. "Er, I can take those out for you if you can get mine out," he suggested lightly, eyes averted. Knowing the other elf, instead of making it so there wasn't too much pain, he'd probably make it so there was more. Arxingall had gotten used to snapping the arrow shaft in half so he could tug out both halves. Azlada would probably just tug it through so the arrow pulled through the wing.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada frowned and growled slightly as he reached for the arrows, wishing he didn't have such struggles with these. He ignored Arxingall as best he could until the other spoke. He looked up, surprise clear on his face. "Oh. Um. . . okay? Thanks. . . " he said slowly, not sure whether or not to trust him. He wanted to, but his concious mind was too stubborn to actually trust him very much. Either wya though, this was going to hurt, and he was used to ripping them out. Being a close-range fighter, he was used to the pain.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Arxingall neared Azlada now that he had permission. The closest he'd gotten to physical contact with him was when they were fighting, and even that, he was a ranged fighter. His charging attack nearly made contact. He was making skin to skin contact now, instead of weapon to skin. He touched the feathers on the other elf carefully, spreading them apart gently, snapping the arrow shaft as far away from the wing as he could so the shock of the wood snapping wouldn't hurt Azlada, or the membranes in the wings. He took out the few lodged in the wings, tossing the pieces to the side. "Potion or two can heal that after," he said, finished. He turned around and moved his hair over his shoulder. "Me next..." He left the end of that open in case Azlada objected.
