Drake laughs softly at her sexy vampire comment. He says, "Brook I am not going with him. I have not exposed our kind to the humans. Unfortunately I know the elders know about you. What you are to me. They will either want me kill you or turn you. I don't want to do either one." He kisses her softly on the lips and strokes her cheek.

Hearing his soft laughed made Brooks heart soar. She loved to hear him laugh and loved that fact that she was the person that was able to be the one that was making him laugh.

She smiled hearing that he was not going, but felt bad that he would be alone now. She tenesed as he spoke of the elders. She shook her head and then kissed him back. "Do they need me changed now? Or could your friend, you know the one that can see the future say that he sees you changing me" She raised an eyebrow. "I dont want to lose you"

She put her forhead to his before remember that she was feverish and she didnt want him to worry more so she took his hand and kissed it. "I know you will not kill me my love" She leaned back against her bed frame.

"I will do what ever it takes to be with you" She just was nervous about leaving her dad, and hoped she wouldnt have to yet.

Drake looks at her calmly and says, "I am the one who has to turn you my love. I want to turn you when you are ready." He strokes her cheek. "They have given us a year to decide when I turn you. If don't do it by the time the year is up, they will do it themselves." He lays down with her calmly.

Looking back at the man that Brook loved she nodded. “I understand my love, I trust you” She took deep breaths to calm her heart. She didn’t want to cause Drake to turn her before they were ready, but she knew that if she got too worked up he might end up doing it.

She leaned into his touch on her cheek. So she only had a year, a year to enjoy the sun on her flesh, a year to say goodbye to her father for life. A year to be with her cat she didn’t think Vampires had cats. She clenched her jaw and looked up at him with a smile on her lips.

“My love I will do everything for you, I will prepare and I promise I will let you know when I am ready”

As he laid down with her she snuggled into him “How long do I have you for my love I know you have to get back to the hunt, and back to your friends”

Drake looks in his lover's eyes a moment and says, "You can keep your cat my love. As for staying in touch with your dad, it will have to be emails and phone calls only for the first few years." He strokes her cheek softly and looks at the sky a moment. He says softly, "I have reached my full point for now. I just wanted to let you know what was going on." He looks at her and kisses her gently.

Hearing that she could keep Comet she grinned “Oh that makes me very happy, I would hate to leave Comet he was there for me in my darkness times. She looked up at him when he mentioned her dad. “I understand my father will understand, everyone leaves after high school right?”

She nuzzled into him and kissed him back. “So I have you for a little while” She sighed then looked down. “Drake, when you turn me what is going to happen?” She asked softly while tracing the area by his belly button.

Drake looks at her a moment and says, "It is like going to sleep for a moment. But when you awake you will feel weak and thirsty beyond anything you have ever felt. You will want to kill for blood but I will be there to teach you to feed off animals instead of people." He looks into her eyes and says, "For the first few years will be difficult on you but it will get easier with time."

Listening closely to what Drake said. She didn’t know weather or not to believe him. She had watch videos. When someone was bitten it looked as if they where in agony when it happened. The person being bitten arched their back and shook in pain. She swallowed hard and looked up at him what ever happened she would be happy with him and trust him. She knew he loved her and she loved him.

As he continued she listened, she tensed as he told her that she would want to kill. She didn’t want to have that. But she believed him when he said that he would help her. She nuzzled into his chest and sighed.

“I know you will be with me so it will be easier” She sighed again. Suddenly all the stuff she was going to miss came to her mind, having sex, having a baby, college, having a job. But she would have Drake and that would enough. She softly kissed his cheek hoping he wasn’t reading her mind at that moment that would hurt him and she didn’t want to do that

Drake winces some as he reads her mind. He sits up on the bed and says, "You don't have to be with me Brook. You do have a choice in all this. I will not make you be with me." He gets off the bed and away from her slightly. "You can live out your life as a mortal. Find a man worth loving and marry him. Someday have kids of your own. Grow old and die like you're suspose to." He keeps his face turned away from her.

As soon as Drake sat up and pulled away from her, he had read her mind, she should have known but she couldn’t control her thoughts, not yet. She shook her head as he spoke. She didn’t want to lose him. Her heart was breaking and tears were streaming down her face down her chin and falling to the floor.

When he got off the bed she scampered towards him “No” she nearly yelled at him “You are not leaving me take that back” She turned his face to force her to look at her. She was shaking so hard she could barely stand.

“Drake I just haven’t figured out to control my thoughts yet” She stroked his face. “I want to be with you okay, let me know that you want me” She looked at him with pleading eyes. “Drake I will die with out you”

She was still silently crying the tears streaming down her face much like a waterfall her eyes were getting redder and puffy. Her face was blotchy and she was clearly distraught about losing her love of her life.

She figured they could mate once before he changed her but the choice would be his, or if they even could, She kissed him softly. “I am sorry I hurt you Drake” She shook her head “I even mess up with I don’t say anything” She pulled away from him and hugged herself. She had worked herself back into a high fever again. “Don’t you love me still” She said in a small frightened voice.

Drake looks away from her ignoring her cries until she made him look at her. He watches her closely as she backs away from him. He says calmly, "Don't you get it my love? That is how much I love you. I am willing to leave you so you may live a normal life as a human. I would do that for you if you wanted it." He takes her in his arms gently. He says, "My love calm down. I am just letting you know that you have other options."

When he finally looked at her Brook was shaking so hard she was nearly falling down. She was losing him. She had lost her mother and her baby sister and now she was losing the first man to tell her that he loved her.

She shook his head to him saying that he was willing to leave her" She didnt want him too. When he pulled her into her arms she started to sob, no longer soft, silent crying but full out sob. Luckily her father had go back to the office so she was home alone.

"Drake dont ever say that again" She cried into his chest. "I love you Drake, for now and for every, dont ever leave me or my blood will be on your hands"

It was harsh but she was upset and she wanted to make sure that he would never think of leaving her. After a while she quieted down again. Her boady heaved with silent sobs now, she couldnt catch her breath but she was quiet. Crying herself into Exhaustion.

When he tensed Brook readied herself to be screamed at or worse. She swallowed hard still unable to look at him.

“I know I mean a lot to my father Drake but I thought you loved me too” She allowed herself to be picked up and to be put into bed she was too tried and sore to fight him on it. She snuggled into the blankets and sighed. Drake now hated her sure was sure of it. And it wasn’t until he said that he loved her that she turned to look at him.

“Truly and honest?” She smiled and whispered “I love you too Drake” The she fell asleep finally finished fighting his magic and her own mind and let her body rest.

Drake kisses her good night and says, "I love you deeply my love. Now rest." He cuddles up to her while holding her close letting her know he still loved her even though she had pissed him off. He rests his head on a pillow and watches her sleep. He would do anything for her that she wanted. He strokes her cheek gently.

Brook sighed contently in her sleep as she felt Drake hold her close. Her dreams were blank they always were when Drake was near her. He seemed to have special powers that took away her nightmares.

She turned over in her sleep and rested her head on his chest. She sighed happily and she would remain that way until morning, if he would have moved she would not have felt it. She was too far deep asleep.

Drake stays with her all night and kisses her forehead. He says in her ear as she sleeps, "I am right here my love." He looks at the sun as it rises. He pulls the curtains to block the sunlight out. He smiles some as she was not going to wake up easily. He makes himself disappear though when her father checks up on her.

As Brook slept Drake’s words reached her as she relaxed even more in her sleep and fell into an even deeper sleep. His mere presence seemed to protect her from herself. She smiled at his words. She didn’t feel him get up and close the curtains.

Nor did she hear her father check in on her. Her father stood at the door and ran a hand through his hair watching his daughter sleep. She looked like the little girl that used to visit him. He knew the divorce had been hard on her. And when her mother remarried she had been strong. His daughter was too strong. He knew that she felt that she had to be strong for everyone. He was happy that she was taking a day; he had thought that it was too soon after the accident for her to try going back to school but he also knew she wanted to graduate. He closed the door but leaving it a crack open, ever since her time in the hospital she couldn’t handle the door being closed.

Eventually Brook stretched, rubbed her eyes and opened them barely to look at her clock. Then the night before came into memory she sat up straight in the bed looking for Drake, had he left her? Was she all alone? She swallowed hard looking around her room.

Drake comes out of the shadows and says, “I haven’t left you my love. I had to hide so your dad did not see me here.” He kisses her forehead and says, “I told you I would stay with you a while. I fed a few hours ago after your dad got home. So I am here all day if you want me to be.” He sits on her bed knowing her dad was gone at work again.

Brook broke into a grin when Drake came out of the shadows to her. She felt her whole body relaxing. She smiled as he kissed her forhead. "I know what you said I just got scared when I woke up alone." She sighed "I guess I just have to get used to you being here more"

Licking her lips she crawled over to him as he sat down and she kissed his neck softly. "You want to spend all night in bed with me again?"

Drake smiles as she kisses his neck. He says, "Yes my beloved I am wanting to spend the night with you." He looks at her and says calmly, "You know tease me when you do that right?" He smiles again and steals a kiss. He then lays her down and keeps kissing her happily but not demandingly. He just loved to kiss her and make her feel good. He says, "Your dad won't be back for a while."

" You want to spend the Night?" She asked a bit confused "What time is it?" She had no idea how long she had slept. Her curtains were closed for Drakes benifite which Brook didnt mind because it meant it felt safier, no one would see him in her room and that meant that no one could see her so she could relax and keep her sweater off baring her scars, but with only Drake there it didnt matter.

She gave Drake a innocent look when he said that he teased her. "When I do what?" She giggled then as he started to kiss her and lay her down she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. "I love you with all my heart Drake" She whispered.

((OOC I am planning on killing off her father but just not yet))

(Okay.) Drake says bringing her closer to him, "It is about three in the morning. You slept for quite a while. Your father had to go back to work. Another hiker was killed but this time it was animal attack not one of us." He kisses her forehead before looking in her eyes a moment. "Sorry that I worried you my love." He kisses her deeply.

Rubbing her eyes again and ran her hand through her hair, “Three in the morning” She blinked. Then looked at him a bit worried. “My father is back at work?” She shook her head “He has been working so much lately” She closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead then leaned back as he kissed her more deeply, he would either have to fall with her or he would have to break the kiss.

Her thoughts drifted something, was there something else in the woods, besides normal forest animals, she opened her eyes knowing Drake could read her thoughts but she didn’t want to ask again, he had said no to that before hadn’t he? She had forgotten now.

She rubbed his arms lightly as she returned the kiss, wondering how he was able to hold on until she was ready, it must be so hard but she trusted him. She closed her eyes again and just enjoyed his touch.
