As he looked at Drake holding on to Brook he sighed. He had left, but he honestly couldnt figure out what had happen those months, it was liek they had all forgotten about him nothing made sense.

He nodded then went into the waiting room and rubbed his temples. He just wished he knew and understood what was going on. Brook loved Drake, but something about Drake seemed a little off, he just couldnt put his finger on it.

Meanwhile in the room Brook was asleep in Drakes arm. Her body taking in all the sleep it couldnt after not sleeping for weeks.

Drake sighs as he knew what was going through her dad's head. He looks down at his sweet Brook as she sleeps away the day. He says, "My love should never had to hurt herself to get me back in her life." He kisses her on the lips softly and listens to her heart beat inside her chest. She wanted to give up her human life for him.

Feeling his lips on her own Brook smiled and her eyes fluttered open again and she kissed him back. "I missed that Drake" She stared into his eyes and stroked his cheek. "I love you" She sighed and cuddled into him more. "I know I hurt you and I'm sorry." She paused "I also knew that it was hard for you to stop, but you did" She of course was talking about when they had made love.

"But I know you can" She said as she softly kissed his adams apple. "I wasnt meaning to kill myself this time honest" She said softly then snuggled into the crook of his neck. "I love you for ever"

She knew grad was coming and she was ready to graduate with all the credits, but didnt know if she could handle going. She kissed him softly again and smiled. "I know you are strong enough to change me my love"

((Hmmm not sure what we can do if he changes her can it continue or should more stuff push them apart and I will be away for a couple weeks just so you know))

Drake looks at her with a slight smile. “I know you were not trying to kill yourself my love. Even if you were, I would still come back here to heal you.” He strokes her body gently and says, “I want you to go to the graduation ceremony. It would mean a lot to your father and to me.” He runs his fingers over the scars on her arm. He says, “I should have come back sooner but I did not trust myself to be near you.”

Brook closed her eyes as his hands gently stroked her she was happy now. She opened her eyes when he mentioned graduation she chuckled a little nervously "I guess I have to get used to you being able to read my mind" She sighed then looked up at him. "Are you going to be there too?" She remembered the elders were waiting for him to change her, how soon after her graduation would Drake be accepted to do it?

She shuddered as his fingers ran over her scars her new cut marks from when she thought she was going nuts. She wanted to pull her arm away but resisted the urge she had missed him so much. "I understand Drake, you were away to protect me" Bringing a hand up to his cheek she stroked it gently. Either her hands were really warm or he was cold. "My love when did you last feed?"

Quickly remembering he would get upset with her if she tried to get him to feed she changed the subject. She chewed her bottom lip. "Your sister came to see me though, I remember now" She stared at him. "Only a couple times, did you stop her?"

Drake looks at her with a smile and says, “Of course I will be there. I would not miss it for the world.” He sighs as she mentioned his sister coming to see her and when he last ate. He says, “It was hard for me to see you doing better with her visiting you at the time thinking she was some stranger. So I made her stop. As for when I last ate, don’t worry about it.”

Brook had mixed emotions about him coming to her grad, she was happy but worried that it would mean that more of a chance that the elders would be there. She still wasnt sure what she was going to tell her father. She hadnt really sent away to any collages. But she was going to be with Drake.

She frowned when he talked about his sister helping her. "Drake that was only because when I was alone, I really was alone. She just help me feel not so crazy" She sighed and sat up and kissed his lips softly. "I love you Drake" She looked to him. "I want to know, I know you just told me but I forgot, how did you find out I was hurt"

She had remember most things, but all the abilties he and his family had were something that had not fully come back to her, at least not yet.

Drake looks at her moment, "I sort of picked up on your father's thoughts but I first got a bad feeling thaf you were hurt. Angie also saw you get in the crash in a vision." He kisses her on the lips softly. He says, "Once you graduate, you and I have to decide where we want to go. We can't stay here while you are learning to hunt animals."

Brook looked at him. Wondering if he had every truely left her. Or if he had been spying on her, through her thoughts and her fathers thoughts the whole time he was gone. She didnt say it though, although she figured that he would already know her questioning.

She smiled and kissed him back then sighed about the graduation. "Alright my love" She licked her lips and carrassed his face and rubbed his shoulders. "How much time do we have before the nurses come back to check on me" She looked him in the eyes. "I just want you to lay with me for a bit" She said to clear up any confusion she wasnt ready to make love to him again.

Drake says looking in her eyes, “Your vital signs are doing better so the nurses won’t check on you as often.” He kisses her cheek gently and says, “I know what you meant love. No need to worry, neither of us will be in a rush to try that again for a while.” He thinks about things a moment. He says, “I don’t want to hurt you like that ever again…”

Nodding Brook stroked his cheek softly "My vitals signs are better because of you, I could have died if it wasnt for you" She sighed and shook her head, "Baby I just didnt want to do it in the hospital as I am hooked up to all these machines and pain meds" She sat up and kissed his lips gently.

"Just dont ever leave me again and I wont be hurt" She again kept her gaze on him her eye lids growing very heavy but she was fighting it clearly wanting to stay with him longer. "Drake lay with me please" She said softly.

The simple fact that Drake was near and was kissing her caused her relax more. She nodded to his words and sighed as he starrted to rub her back. "Its ugly I know but its better now that you are here my love"

She sighed and tired to fight off the sleep. "Drake I am sorry....tried...love you" He voiice was failing her as her eye lids grew heavier as the time relased medicine ran its course. She was soon asleep.

Her father was coming towards the room with the mind to talk to Drake and this little family.

((Hmmm guess it would have made more sence not to have his memories returned at the same time but I figured maybe his family stops and talks to the dad frist then Drake...or what ever up to you))

The others came to Drake’s side as they were worried about Brook too but Drake needed to talk to Brook’s father and her father wanted to talk to them all. With Brook out like a light, they are no choice but to talk here. Drake did not mind cause was not going to leave Brook again. Angie asks, “Are you going to tell her father what we are?” He says, “If I have no choices yes.”

Brook was out to the world when her father came through the door he looked at the group around his daughter and cleared his throught. He wanted to take it else where but it seemed to him that they were not going to go anywhere so he sighed.

"Drake, I dont know how you did it, but my daughter was nearly dead when she arrived here, and they you show up and she awakens and heals" He rubbed the back of his neck, the dark circles under his eyes clear that he had not slept in a while.

There were questions running through his head: Who were they? Why did they forget about them, why did they leave and what was it about them that was different? He didmt voice any of the questions though.

He sighed and looked at his daughter then to Drake. "I can tell you love her, but why did you leave her, she nearly died nurmous times, she started cutting again and only slept when I managed to slip in her sleeping pills into her drinks since she barely ate. She didnt remember you, neither did I till I saw you again" He swallowed hard then shook his head. "My daughter loves you and if you break her again, I will kill you"

Drake says once her father is through, “I left because I thought I was a danger to her so I left to protect her. But when I heard from my friends here in town about the accident, I came back to her. I know now that leaving her no matter how good the intentions are will always cause her more harm than good.” He could hear the questions in her father’s head and waited for him to ask them aloud.

Her father rubbed his temples. "How could you be a danger to her?" He glared at him. "I am an officer, if you are involved in gangs or drugs I can help you" He shook his head and looked at the family. "Or are you all in protecive custody? Okay even if you are you can tell me, just tell me why did you leave her, and how until now did we both forget about you?"

He thought he was prepaed for anything , drugging, spells, anything he just wanted to know if he could trust this man and his friends.

Drake looks at his family a moment before looking at Brook's father. He says, "My family and I are part of group that requires distance from other people who are not in the group. It is not like a gang or the mob. It is hard for me to explain. You could say it is a family tradition started a long time ago that we can't break. And once you are in the group there is no going back."

Rubbing his back of his neck as he watched Drake look at his family he thought he was braced for anything but he wasnt ready for what he heard. He clenched his fists.

"Do you mean some thing like a CULT" He spat out the last word. "I will have you know, no matter how much my daughter loves you and how much you helped her coming back you are not taking my daughter anywhere" He glared at them all but the fear of losing his daughter was in his eyes.

"She has servived so much you know, she had Cancer as an infant" He looked up at them "She probably never told you, she doesnt like anyone to know." He shook his head. "So much pain she went through" He sighed "She has been cleared now for 16 years" He looked at his hands "You probably know that she cuts, I think she does it because it is the one thing she can controle"

He suddenly stared at them wondering why he just spilled all of that. He stepped forward so he was standing beside her. "So you are not taking my Daughter to live in your cult, you better be off, all of you" He crossed his arms. His thoughts swimming that they were something like the cults in the news. men taking multple wives, or canabals, his thoughts were making his heart beat faster. "I mean it, you will not hurt Brook again"

Drake says clenching his fists, "It is not a cult and I can't leave. Brook will finish herself off if I leave her again. That is why she started cutting. She only does it less often now cause my sister talked to her. And this why we stay away from people. People jump to conclsions about us and make us leave just like you are doing now just because we are different from you." Which was true a lot of people have done this to them once they figure out what they are.

Her father continued to stand there not backing down meanwhile Brook stired slightly in her sleep but the automated pain meds gave her another dose and she fell into a medicated sleep. Her father touched her face slightly then sighed. "I do know you have helped her, and you see pass through her burn marks." He sighed "But think of it from my point of view, you are talking about taking my baby girl away, and I have a feeling the way you are talking I will never see her again" A single tear ran down his cheek, "I almost lost her as a baby, then my exwife, her mother couldnt handle the stress and left, so I lost her then, nearly lost her in the car accident and too her depression, then she had another accident, now you are talking about taking her away, and you except me not to be a bit upset"

He sat in a chair defeated. "I know her, she loves you" He held his hand he knew then that he had lost, he was going to lose her for real this time. "Will I at least get some phonecalls?"

Drake looks at her father and says, "Sir you will never lose your daughter. I will make she calls as often as she can. I know what it is like to be take from one of my parents. We all do in a way..." Angie says, "I got really sick when I was a kid and Drake's father made me better but by the time I was better my parents had died." Connor says, "My brother and I never knew our parents. Drake took us in when we were found living on the street."

Looking up at them he sighed. "I guess you think I am pathetic a grown man getting this emotional over Brook moving out, all kids move out after highschool" He paused "I just have lost her so much that it hurts"

He looked up at then and raised an eyebrow. "What did you have..." He wrinkled his brow, "Angel" He nodded finally remembering her name. He then listened to the others and nodded. "Forgive me for getting angrey so quickly I should have asked about it first, I just got scared" He strooked his daughters cheek again softly. "I know you will take care of her"
