Nodding Chase (Or is it Cody lol) sighed "That must be it" He frowned "I just wish I remembered more, maybe we were on our way somewhere, maybe somewhere that is safe you know" He continued to whipe down her face and then rested it right no her eyes. "How does that feel?"

He blushed as she kissed him and then shook his head "You just lay down there Ren you have to get better."

She looked to him "hmm, maybe, I don't think I rember such an even tthough might not have looked at your face though I never used to look at anyone if I could help it" she laughed a little waekly and closed her eyes as he let the damp cloth rest on them and gave a light sigh "It's nice, cooling" she whispered softly. SHe moved a bit of it away and looked to him laughing a little as he blushed "How cute" she said and frowned "But I want to be able to do something" she frowned slightly and proped herself up on her elbows and Cass growled jumping on her and making ehr fall back again "Ouch, Cass" she said and tapped the nose of the little dog who whined looking to Cody.

"I dont know if I ever did this, why would I. I mean I am so young arent I" He asked a little confused. He watched her still nevous that she was so weak but trying to fight him at every turn it seemed. "You eed to relax Ren" He shook his head.

As she tired to get up and Cass knowed her down again he took her into his arms and sighed "Are you going to rest now?" He raised an eyebrow. "I hope to see tommrow, are you going to tell me what the books said or would you rather wait till I read it?"

“Your my age so yes you are young” she said and looked to him when she said she needed to relax “Cody, it’s not that serious” she lied to him looking to him as he took her into his arms and sighed “Ok, I’ll rest” she muttered “But I hate being useless” she muttered and her hand found his arm holding it a little loosely as if to make sure he was there while she rested. But she was soon fast asleep once more bits of rich brown hair falling loose from her ponytail and over her shoulders in front of her face.
Moving a little as she slept her hand jept a gentle hold on him.

"The more you tell me it is not serious the more I am thinking it is serious" He frowned. "Please put yourself in my place, if it was I this sick what would you be doing to me? He softly went back to singing as she seemd to calm down.

When he was certain that she asleep he sighed. And watched as her hair fell lose he stroked it slightly. Not sure why we was but it felt it right. He smiled as she held his other hand and continued to rock her and sing. Cass curled up beside them but kept her gaze to the entery way as if she was on gaurd for something.

Cody stayed up the whole time, catching a few minutes here and there but he was fine, something about him didnt need much sleep. But he was clearly worried about Ren. He kept checking her too see if the fever was going down and if she was breathing.

She frowned a little and just rolled onto onside as he began to hum again the soft humming slowly lulling her to sleep breathing very softly to the point he could just see she was breathing. She moved a little when she felt a bit of her hair being moved opening her eye briefly but it soon closed and she went back to sleep still holding his other hand with hers.

Cass looked up to Cody and gave a light whine nudging him as if to say ‘Go to sleep, she’ll be fine now that she’s resting sleep Cody’ giving a final whine she went back to her dazed state in order to keep guard over the pair of them despite the fact she was still a pup herself.

Ren woke up having held his hand the entire night her fingers twitched a little and she gave a light moan looking up to him and touched his cheek with her other hand softly bits of loose hair falling back.

Sighing softly as Cass seemed to order him to sleep he leaned up against a wall and closed his eyes and slept for a little bit. His dreams were full of strange events, bright colours there were presents and cakes, but it wasnt a house, it looked liked a home, could it be that there were happy times at the orphanse? In hisdreams there were lots ofkids around but everyone seemed happy. For a while then a new headmaster came in and then everything turned dark.

He woke with a bit of a start and turned to Ren seeing her awake he smiled "Good morning how do you feel?"

“Hmm, a little better” she said “how’s your vision doing? Can you see better?” she asked him moving her hand up to gently and carefully trace the top of one of his eyes. Cass yawned stretching as she woke up.
Ren carefully sat herself up feeling a lot better than the day before “I want a shower, I wonder if the old school still has its showers there, we can look if your vision is better” she said she usually tried to find other means of keeping herself clean such as natural pools of water created by the aftermath but she didn’t know if there were any near here…
“It’d also be nice to get the smells from the labs off of us” she nodded

Cody nodded "Glad you feel a bit better" His swelling was down so he nodded 'A little better, but I still have these weird dark shapes floating around my vison" He said softly. He then chucked at Cass "I guess we all got some much needed sleep" He looked up at the sound of a shower. "That would be really good"

He nodded about gettign the smell of the labs off of them "That would defintaly be a good thing" He licked his lips and then eased her up then stood himself. "Shall we?"

"Yeah, I have some spare clothes I can wear while I get the stench of these clothes what about you" she said thanking him when he helped ease her to her feet. "If not I know where we can find some and I'm sure the shapes will vanished soon" she nodded andCass watched Ren still having to hold on to things to get used to standing after her legs had fallen asleep.

Shaking her head breifly she soon began to lead the way finding it harder than usual and also took her pouch with her and stopped by an old hotel searching a little before finding some towels they could use and then headed towards the old boarding school. "Let's see around...here" she said stopping the swiming pool always had working showers and they were realtively clena considering since she did give them a wipe over whenever she came to make sure they were safe and ok to use. THere were a few closed ones and open ones on either side for boys and girls.

She had also made them stop off to grab some spare clothes for Cody taking them with them. "You'll have to change into these afterwards, whiel your other clothes dry" she nodded before disspearing into the girls side and gave the showers a quick wash and smiled before sorting out her clothes.

Cody was still worried about Ren but walked with her he was beginning to see even better and sighed when she mentioned new clothes he shook his head. "Not that I know of" He frowned but then smiled at the sound of a shower. "That would be great I cant remember the last one I had, must have been a long time, guess I stink."

He took the clothes with a smile then went into the bathroom and looked at the showers. He too whiped them down then stripped. his torso and back, which was normaly covered were covered in scars, ,and started his shower.

Once he was clean he put on his new outfit and then stepped out and waited for Ren to be done.

"yeah" she nodded and after she finished her shower a little bit after she walked out drying ehr hair a little with the towels they had found earlier as she walked out "Feel better?" she asked him feeling a lot better herself the black t-shirt sticking to her wet skin a little wearing a pair of old torn jeans.

She stretched her arms closing one eye as she gave a light yawn. "Well going to answer?"

"I feell much better Thank you" He smiled sheeplishly "Guess I did smell preety afful" He looked down to his jeans and a shirt, "How do I look?" He coughed a little seeing her shirt sticking to her wet skin and smiled "You look really good if I can say so"

She laughed "Not half as bad as you think we both needed one" she said smiling "and you look great.. a little different though" she said and jerked a little pulling the towel around her a little embarassed "S-Sorry" she said as she flushed red at his comment and stuck her tongue out at him.

Cody chuckled blushing "Well just nice to not think I smell" He then bit his lip as she told him that she looked good. "Well so do oyu" When she pulled the tower she seemed embarrassed but he wasnt sure why. But he felt as if she wanted him to look away but he couldnt he stuck his tongue out too.

"Well now what do oyu want to do?"

She laughed a little "yeah, yeah" she said and then thought a little "We should wait for our clothes to dry that way they'll be lighter to carry" she said nodding and after she had dried a little she tugged her clothes away from ehr skin and sat herself up on some railing oposite the pool changing rooms and waited whiel the clothes dried just thinking to herself about everything... Cass looked ot her and yipped before she looked down "I'm fine Cass, this time honestly" she nodded.

She kicked her legs a little lowering her head closing one eye as she tied her hair up once mroe with her black ribbon "Any ideas? We should do something to keep us busy during the day" she said

"Alright we shall wait till our clothes dry" He let out a yawn, he was tired from staying up most of the night watching Ren to make sure that she was arlight but now he was feeling it, but he tried to hide it.

"I miss this pool" He said with a sigh, "I used to make myself sink to the bottom of it" He chuckled. "Freeked out a gaurd once, she thought I was drowning" He sighed again remembering times gone by.

He looked at her and then shrugged. "Well what is left?"

"Hmm, So that's why she alwyas freaked out so much?" she asked "She used to talk about it when she had the girls class..." she said "Too bad we can't go back to those times, where it was so peaceful" she said her voice fading to a whisper as she let her head fall back and her hair with it stray strands falling back in line with her long pony tail.

After a while the clothes had dried and she got her to help him "We can take them back and think about what to do for the day but I want to see if I can find those fireflies tonight, they bring peace to the mind and soul some might say" she nodded and smiled to herself she always liked to watch the fireflies.

Cody chuckled again. "I dont know why I remembered that I guess its just a flash back since I am here now right?" He nodded. "Yeah things used to be easier. Simpiler" He licked his lips and then just enjoyed the peacefulness, there wasnt much peace left in this world.

He took the clothes and helped her then he nodded. "Alright some fireflies will be nice"

"Possibly but these flash backs of yours are becoming more frequent" she said nodding a little "and I'm sure they would be. like dancing little lanturns in the night sky" she said laughing a little.
Taking the clothes back she noticed evening would fall soon and listened around she began to try and find where they would be not finding the small collection of them dancing on the roof of an old house and used a beam walking up it and sitting herself down she watched as they drifted over as if inspecting her and a few landing on bits of her hair and one on her finger.

Sighing Cody shrugged "I dont know if the flashbacks are good, I mean maybe I forgot it for a reaason" He liked his lips again and watched her take the clothes. He was still surprised that they had found eatch other something was odd about it, just didnt seem right, like maybe the men that were chasing them had a part in them finding each other but he pushed that out of his head.

When the fireflies landed on her he smiled but then frowned. "If we capture them wont they die?"

"I didn't say I wanted to capture them, their much more beautiful in such a free night sky" she whispered and looked up to him "You coming over, they don't bite you know" she said to him laughing a little and turned back feeling it moving on ehr finger and watched holding it toher eyes she watched it breifly before it joined the others in an enchanting dance above their heads making ehr almsot fall back as she watched catching herself on her elbows scraping them a little but not much, she didn;t mind.

It was the one peaceful moment in which she felt as though there was nothing to worry about and whispered slightly "It's so peaceful" she said the words sliping from her lips like a soft breeze would through the trees of winter.
"Is your eye almost better, Cody?" she asked him just checking again.

Cody breathed in relife "Thats good to hear I hate to think of anything being caged" He stepped closer and let one land on his finger and giggled. "It feels funy" He said then watched them dance more. When she feel he moved to help her but was too slow "Sorry"

He sat down and then sighed "You are right it is peacefull here" He sighed "My eye is feeling a bit better, can see more, but its still blurey guess it might always be"

She nodded a little laughing slightly as he giggled “I think they like you” she said smiling and shook her head at his sorry “Don’t worry about it, we all fall sometimes” she said nodding her head and turned her gaze up to the dancing fireflies once more smiling to herself, before she heard Cody speak. “Let me have a look” she said and pushed herself up to a sitting position and looked at his eye, it was still a little swelled up, but it wasn’t even noticeable to most, and there was a bit of a bruise still there as well. “I’m sure it’ll be fine, just repairing it’s self slowly, it won’t be like that forever” she spoke softly before she just lay down beside him watching the wonderful dance above their heads, she almost felt as though she could jsut drift off and sleep here but knew it would be unwise for anyone in such cold.

"I think they are trying to tell us there is hope, I mean if we and our puppy survied and now these fireflies, life found a way" He said softly. Then shook his head and smiled "Sorry guess I was getting too deep, something tells me I was like that a lot you know before"

He paused as she checked out his eye "That is good to hear, and how are you doing?" He saw here nearly asleep. "Hmm not sure if we should sleep here, might not be warm enough or safe enough"
