"well then your already at that aim" she smiled at him and giggled when cass decided to jump onto his lap and curl up."yeah, your right on that one,It just shows you that there were more of us at some point and it's as though the people who were here are still here since it doesn't feel like such a lonley buidling" she said leanig back in her chair thinking a little "and I know I am, I just don't have a lot to say at the momment" she said smiling when he closed and then opened his eye leaning forward once more "let's see" she said "Well, the swelling has gone down a lot now, I'm sure by morning you'll be able to see clearly again" she said to him.
"Also we should move some of the old rubble away under those shelves so we can sleep there later on, after I get us some food for the night" she said

Chase took Cass as she leaped onto his lap and continued to pet her. Then looked up at Ren as she continued to speak. He found it hard to keep his eyes off of her. Even if he couldnt see all that well yet "Last time we didnt feel alone we were" Chase said softly "So I sorta hope that we are alone, especally if its them"

He grinned at the sound of the sweeling going down. "Good, I miss seeing things you know" To be able to read books instead of just a computer. He nodded when she began to mention the rubble. "That is a great idea" His stomach growled at the sound of food but he just chuckled "Ignore that"

She smiled a little at him nto completely taking her gaze away from him sicne she liked to know he was there. "Well we should get started before it gets too dark, I can go get us some food.. are you ok to set up a fire?" she asked him learning to relie on him a lot mroe than when they first met. "If it's them then yes it is best that we are alone if not, then it depends on the situation. I have enough food stored but, I never know hwo much exactly" she muttered "Also if worst comes to worse we can probably trap a few animals anyway.." she said and stopped "sorry, I'm going on a little" as she stood up and rustled her hair tucking bits of it behind her ears and Cass jumped off. Ren foudn the two shelves leaned perfectly together so they wouldn't colaspe.
She soon began moving bits of rubble away but made sure it still look like it was natural so they could hide there to. She giggled hearing hsi stomach growl "sorry I can't I'll get us somethign to eat in a minte ok?"

"I can start a fire" He said softly then looked around "If there is a barrel somewhere we can have it in there, or would you rather a smaller one?" He was a bit ashamed in having to ask

When Cass jumped off he walked over to Ren was and started to help her. "Ignore my stomach" He said softly "Lets get this all done, and like I said before I dont want you to over do it!"

"You can decide There should be a barrel in the old office, I menat to use it to store water but a warm big fire would be nice" she said thinking a little and laughed "But it's growling rather loudly and don't worry about ti we're both hungry and I'll be fine, I won't over work myself" she said and kept helping until the rubble around them was cleared "i'm going to get some food ok, I'll be back soon, Cass you stay with Cody" she said and went to go find soem food and smiled as she sorted through the food and foudn something which looked nice and picked it out going back as she clambered from the fallen shelter and looked around.

Chase nodded. He wasnt sure if a fire would be good, would it attractt the others? He blushed as she said his stomach was growling loudly. He shrugged. "Its not like we havent been hungry before right?" He said softly then watched as she left.

He began to search he found a small portable fire place. That was enclosed but would likely let off a lot of heat. Then walked back to their little shelter and petted the dog. Hearing noises he froze but relaxed when he relized it was her. "You are back, that wasnt too long"

She smiled at Cody "yeah, it wasn't overally far from here and I knew the way anyway" she said smiling still "Wow you did an exellent job, you're incharge of creating the camp fire now" she grinned cheekily at him and sat down "Anything I can do?" she asked before she set the food by the fire instantly warmed up by the fire and hugged her knees to her chest as she waited for the fire to cook the food.

Cass jumped around before curling beside the fire enjoying the warmth too. "Also I didn't say I'd be long either" she said hugging ehr knees more and resting her head to one side. She felt rather sleepy because of so much warmth which she wasn't used to but hunger keeping ehr awake and blushed as her stomach growled and lifted her head up a little.

"I just found the fire place, since its all enclosed I am hoping it wont be seen, and then when it gets colder" He paused "Never mind that wont work, its too heavy and big to carry around, I hope we find somewhere warm before it gets too cold" He watched her and sat down beside her there were books there, "I made sure not to grab classics, but we might have to start burning books"

He put a arm around her and then sighed. "I think this is prefect" He heard her stomach growled and smiled "Now who is the hungry one" He said softly. "When its ready you make sure to eat first"

She smiled "doesn't matter we might not move base much since this place is perfect" she said smiling a little at the warmth and grinned a little "Yeah, maybe some of the out of date books..." she said and nodded "Yeah but this place might have to do for a while though" she said and nodded.

She felt him put an arms around her and blushed a little still not used to it and nodded "yeah..." she said and blushed more as he mentioned it "Hey, we're both hungry ok?" she said to him and tugged bits of his hair before she sorted out the food and shared it evenly between hte two of them and cass.

She happily ate her share contently and sipped some of her water.

Chase felt oddly happy that they wouldnt be moving at least for a little while, he liked this place, it was mostily covered so they werent as cold, or at least he wasnt.. He nodded with the books. "Yes I just feel strange you know, like we are burning the last bit of civilation on earth," He shrugged "but this wasnt the only libary so it should be okay."

He saw her blush as he put her arms around her. "Sorry guess I should have asked oyu just looked cold still" He then took the food and began eating. Grinning at the feeling of her tugging his hair..

"Well this is good" He said softly watching both her and Cass. "We are like the perfect group" He said with a chuckle.

She looked to him and smiled "It's fine, I don't midn I just feel funny" she said and watched as Cass jumped up at them after she finished eating ehr share and smiled. "silly pup" she said and tapped the dogs nose before she finished her share and stuffed the foil in her pouch and leaned back on him instead quite contently.
"and yes we are like the perfect group" she said and leanedback against him still relaxing compeltely exhusted as her temperature began to rise a little.
She closed ehr eyes and Cass barked adn tugged at ehr long ponytail.

Chase was really worried about her. He sighed and licked his lips. "I wonder if ther eis a book in here to tell us what is wrong with you, but guess if its from what ever they gave you it probably wont be in here" He didnt know why but he suddenly felt the urge to hold her close so that is what he did.

He looked down at Cass and made a "humph" kind of sound. "See even Cass is worried about you"

But he continued to hold her and even felt her temp climb. He shook his head. "I am a little worried Cass" He said softly wishing there was some way he could bring her temp down.

He turned a little so his back was to the fire and she was turned away from it to see if maybe that would help.

She looked up to Cody a little as she was held close and just let herself rest against him a little listening "I don't even know what it was" she said weakly and groaned a little moving her head to the side as she was moved hearing their conversation "Oh I'll be fine after soem rest" she said not even sure if that would work and smiled scratching Cass behind her ear.
Ren then looked up at him and rested her hand on his cheek "and I'm not going todie form it I'll tell you that, It jsut feels too warm" she muttered a little. Cass searched the books and pulled out a first aide one and barked dragging it over to Cody and Ren.

Chase was still worried about Ren but it seemed that she still alright, just really sick at the same time which didnt seem to make sence but least she was still breathing.

Chase held her close and sighed "No you are not going to die" He said softly. He watched Cass dragg a book over and flipped it open looking for her symptons, and then checked to see if she was awkae straining her eyes to be able to read was giving him a head ach. He hoped she could read to see what was wrong, or how to fix it.

Ren opened her eyes breifly and read out the symtons and then the way to get rid of it, It wasn't overly serious but she just felt a whole lot weaker than before and tried moving herself up a bit more so she was able to read it better.

"I never said I would tell, like I'll let myself die in this sort of place" she said to him and reached a hand up and rested it on his cheek softly. She felt so cold that she was boiling and tried to move more into him to keep a little wamrer and make sure he was there not saying a word as she did.

"Dont strain yourself Ren"Cody said softly. "Now what did you read?" I know its hard for you to strain, but I can see just not good enough to read" He frowned he was worried that she wouldnt tell him, but he hoped that she would so he could help her and get them both further along the ways of healing,

He shook his head. "You are not going to die, for if you die you are going to be leaving me and Cass alone, and we dont know where you stored the food, so you will be killing us too" He held her close and hummed a soft lullubye in hopes of calming her.

She gave a light sigh and looked up to him "It's nothing, I just need to get my temperature back to normal somehow" she said softly her voice rather weak, she soon just let herself rest again him in silence before listening to what he next said "I don't plan on dying Cody and even if i did, I'm sure would be able to find it by scent anyway".

She kept leaning on him listening as he hummed a lullaby to her and calm down a little closing her eyes as well. "ot's mot anything too serious ok?" she lied "I just need to get my temperature down, rest and eat that's all"this bit was true however it didn't really say much about it.

Cody didnt know why but he didnt belive Ren but until his vison was complelty back he had no choice but to nod. "Alright if you say so" He looked down at Cass and forwned, even she seemed worried too"

He kept holding her and humming the lullaby and hoped that it would work. "Any ideas on how to bring it down?" He asked in a calm soft voice whishing he could finish calming her down.

She smiled a little but knew as soon as he gained his vision back that he would see it was rather serious now but she didn't say a word and just listened to his humming the lullaby calming down gradually "I don't know, what about you?" she asked turning ehr gaze to look up at him.
Cass growled a litle knowing full well she was lying and tried to tell Cody but didn't get very far. Ren looked to ehr putting a finger on her lips not wanting to worry him as she almost fell back against him.

"I know I dont belive her either" Cody softly whispered to Cass. Then went back to holding Ren and humming the lulluby softly. He took his hand and softly brought it to her forhead. "If we had a cloth and some water, I think that is suppose to help right?"

He couldnt help but softly stroke her cheek he wasnt sure why he was doing it, just that it felt right.

"I might not be well but I can hear you" she said to them bluntly leaning back on Cody and moving into his touch when he stroked her cheek her hands resting on his arms as she relaxed contently. Cass looked ot him and as if knowing what he said she searched through what they had and brought him and old clean clothe and yipped a little to him before pouncing over ot the water bucket which Ren kept in the corner. Having closed her eyes she was slowly drifting off again tired.
Jumping up Cass dipped most of the cloth in the water and sprinted back handing it to Cody and whined before settling down beside them both keeping guard for any dangers.

Ren awoke when she felt something damp on he had and frowned a little "Hey, I'm not that bad" she said knowing she actaully was but didn't want to worry him and just focused on recovering she moved a hand up a little not knowing why her fingertips traced over his cheek softly with a tender touch.

Cody chuckled. "I know you can hear, thats why I said it" He paused "You wouldnt allow me to be this stubbron" He watched Caas bring the cloth wetted. "Arent you a smart doggie" He said and took the clothe and brought it to her head and started to whipe it down

"How does that feel?" He said softy he then folded it and whiped down her neck. Soemthing he felt familure but not sure why... "There is that better?"

"Yeah, yeah but that's because I'm a lot more stubborn than you anway Cody" she said to him and looked to Cass who gave her a victorious look "I'm really not that bad" she said as he started to wipe her head and cool her down a little and just sighed giving up to the pair of themclosing her eyes when a bit of water dribbled down to one of her eyes.

"A little better" she replied and looked up to him she moved her long brown ponytail as he wiped down her neck shifting a little and nodded a little at the cool water on skin and looked to him "You ok, rember something?" she asked noticing her had though something was familair and looked up to him with curious mismatched eyes.

Cody chuckled "Only because I let you be more stubbrone Ren" He sighed as he continued to whipe her down. It seemed to be helping he kept looking at her and Cass then sighed when she asked if he remembered soemthing.

"I do, this seems familier, but it was me being comforted by the cold cloth" He continued to do it. "Does this seem familire to you to?"

"Hmm, In a way yes very familair to me, people usually do it with those who have fevers so maybe it was when you were ill" she suggested trying to think back a little. "Maybe it was a family member that was doing it.. remember any disticnt features?" Cass had curled up beside them both happily but always watching encase anything happened.

Closing her eyes as she thought she came up with nothing and looked up to him waiting to see if he could answer. "This whole thing is just a bit mystery huh?" she said and moved a little proping herself up more and pecked his cheek in thanks for cooling her down a little.
