She shook her head a little and frowned, she smiled not quite falling in thanks to him before she poured a little water back over his head and crossed her arms laughing. Everything was so peaceful to her, it all was like a dream.
After a long time they were both soaked, setting the fire up again she lay on her front beside her in order to dry off. “I’m exhausted now” she said but even though she was exhausted she’d never been so happy in a long time.

It was great to have some fun. He laughed as he had crossed his arms "Seems to me that we are nearly even" He laughed as they continued to play and splash each other.

After they had their fill he layed down by the fire with her. "I am exhausted as well but it was fun wasnt it?" He slowly petted the dog and sighed. "How long do you think we will be able to stay here??"

She nodded feeling as though she could fall to sleep at any moment, giving a yawn she smiled and Cass barked curling up to Cody "She really is attatched to you" said Ren smiling laying her head down on her arms "and I don't know, hopefully for a while, we need a break from the city chaos" she said nodding a little. Ren then searched for the water bottles she ahd brought down and got up to fill them before she lay back down, letting her clothes dry as she lay on the grass. " rather tiring though huh?" she said.

Chase was feeling the same way that Ren looked. Sleep was closing in on him. It seemed the fresh air was doing him good. He sighed and petted the dog. "I think she just lays with whomever she wasnts each night" He let another yawn "Is it safe to keep the fire going, its some nice to look at and its keeping me warm. He found it strange that she was over on the other side but was too tiredto move.

"It is tiring but the air smells so nice"

Ren smiled a little at Cody before she stood up and moved a little lying on the other side of Cass and stroked her fur with her back to the fire. Cass pawed her a little growling playfully before she curled up between the two of them and then looekd to Cody. She smiled and nodded "Yeah, maybe we should head back before we both fall asleep, it isn't too far plus best to be safe than sorry" she said and put the fire out before she picked a few sticks up and began to head back. when they did getback to the cave sheset up a fire and lay down pulling one fo the blankets over her and Cass lay down looking to Cody and barking for him to come and sleep to.

Cody smiled when Ren came over closer. "I like that better" He shrugged "I dont know why but I just like us closer together and I think Cass likes it too" He shucked then ruffled the dogs fur. He was getting more sleepy when she said it was time to move he groaned and was about to protest, but like normal he knew that she was right and he stood and walked with her.

Laying back down once the other fire was going he stood blushing that he wasnt near the blanket he laid back down with a huge yawn. "Are you going to be able to sleep Ren?" He asked worried that she wouldnt.

She smiled and nodded “yeah, at least we know where the other person is, I’m guessing that’s it” she said before moving and laughed as he blushed and when he was next to her and Cass she made sure that he had the other blanket over him. She did care a lot more than before s, even she had noticed. Cass then went under Cody’s blanket and curled into hi with Ren lying on her side she looked to him “Why would you think I wouldn’t sleep, I’ll be fine. What about you, think you’ll be able sleep?” she asked him.

Chase smiled. "Also after being so alone for so long its better to be together" He yawned again and blushed "I just wanted to make sure you would sleep, I know I havent been sleeping that well latly but I think I will sleep better out here, fresher air"

He yawned again as his eyelids grew heavy.

“Hmm you should’ve said, I could have made something to help you sleep, my mother taught me a remedy” she said smiling a little “It just doesn’t change, you still look so cute when you blush, Cody” she laughed a little and then seeing he was about to fall asleep she curled up a little moving a hand to where he was and tangled her fingers with his smiling a little before Cass, who was curled between them shifted slightly as Ren fell asleep until the morning came.

Shaking his head he wouldnt admit that he didnt sleep cause he was scared of closed in spaces, and that he didnt like to fall asleep when others were awake, just let him open to attacks. He shook his head again "Its not big deal" He said wht a yawn

As soon as she was alseep he fell asleep and woke to the morning light. He stayed sill though not wanting to think about what would face him once he was fully awake. These few persious moments that mis mind protected him from relaily were scared to him. All too soon though he knew he had to awaken.

She looked to him with a light frown knowing he must’ve been hiding something before she went to asleep. She awakened a little bit after him and groaned “morning Cody” she said smiling at him “Sleep better” she asked once he was completely awake, touching his cheek softly. She knew it was safer here; most of the monster wouldn’t be able to get here thank goodness.

She didn’t usually sleep with others awake there either, but had learned to trust Cody enough to know full well he wouldn’t attack her in the middle of the night “And don’t worry, this place is well hidden remember?” she said to him

Waiting for her to wake up Cody thought back, she had a look that she knew he was hidding things. But hopefuly she wouldnt ask he was ashamed of being scared of closed in places. "I slept great" He said. He smiled and leaned into her touch not really knowing why but he liked it.

He nodded "I much perfre this place" He admited. "So I suppose we do need a shelter in case it rains" He sighed. Least it wouldnt be too enclosed.

“You ok, you look like you’re hiding something?” she asked only curious not minding fi her didn’t tell her. “That’s good; I slept well as well, better than the past few nights anyway. Laughing a little as he moved into her touch she leaned forward and kissed his nose giggling “yeah, safer, quieter and generally nicer, doesn’t smell as bad either she laughed and then stood up stretching her arms up "Come on let's see what we can find and maybe we can start building a tree house as well?" she said

Cody frowned he didnt like hidding he looked at his hands. "Closed in places make me feel nervous" He admited ashamed. "I just feel safier out here, kinda strange though guess we are more vulenerable to a degree once we are outside but just feel safier"

He was really ashaed she was grateful for the distraction. He nodded "Alright"

She looked to him and just smiled “It’s nothing to be ashamed of my father was like that, hated enclosed spaces but he lived with it” she said “and it does make sense you know where everything is and you can tell more clearly if you are in danger and where you can run to escape from it” she said thinking about what they had for breakfast and searched her pouch for food finding enough for their breakfast and few snacks. “Come on, let’s eat something before we start exploring, I’m starving” she said laughing a little but blushed when her stomach gave a loud growl.

Cody looked a little more sure. “I was just ashamed, I am a boy I am not suppose to be scared right?” He sighed. “Glad that is off my chest, and hopefully now both of us will be able to sleep better” He smiled and nodded to her explanations “Yeah and being trapped in that cell again did not help any but we are freeer now” He then looked at her and nodded again. “Yes I am hungry too”

He looked around “Well is there enough, or should we go hunting for some more food like berries and such” He sighed “And that water last night was so refreshing

"Just because you'rea boy doesn't mean you shouldn't be scared of something, if you weren't scared of at least one thing then it'djust be ridculous adn rather freaky at that" she said "For example I have a fear of loosing you...and cass, also I'm scared stiff of those creatures out there as well" she said and nodded at what he said before she spoke "We have enough, we might have to go forging during the day and if we make some traps maybe we can trap something to eat or we could try fishing, although mutant fish aren't somethign I want to find" she said laughing a little.

Cody didnt fully belive her. He was the boy and they were suppose to be stronger, he wasnt sure why he thought that but it had to be true. When she confessed her fears he frowned. "We, me and Cass are not going anywhere" He said softly wanting to help her.

When she switched the topic to food he let her. "Alright we will go foraging for food, yeah mutant fish isnt something I want to see either" He sighed "Wish the normal fish you know?"

Ren’s view on people were a little different, she didn’t care if someone was strong or not only if they were a good person and Cody certainly was to her anyway. “I know, but there is always that worry guess it must come from not being around people from so long and then finding someone” she said thinking a little and then just smiled “yeah I know, also there should be some place that has normal fish, maybe where we were yesterday after all that water is very pure I noticed” she said

"I understand" He shrugged "Guess I have that fear too, thats why I ask how you are all the time, part of me thiks that this is just a dream that I am going to wake up and ill be alone in the darkness again" He shuddered. "But if its a dream I think I will enjoy every minute of it"

He nodded about the fish too. "That sounds great, would be nice to have some meat" He sighed again and looked up at the sky. "So untouched"

"I'm prettysure its not a dream although sometimes I think that" she said smiling and nodded "yep, same here and it would be nice to have some meat for a change, different taste and it'll be fresh as well." she said smiling at the though "Also I like fish, not overly keen on other meats too much though" she said before looking to the sky "Yeah, the one thign that hasn't changed through such times" she smiled and standing infrotn fo him she leaned back looking up "Shall we get going then?" she asked

Bitting his lip Cody nodded. "Well glad I am not the only one." He said with a bit of a smile. He then rubbed his stomach at the sound of fish "Sounds tempting" He nodded again when he asked if they should go. He looked at her and winked "After you" He said with a slight bow. He was joking a bit, beginning to relaxed out here and with the secrets out.

She smiled "You bet its tempting, lets get going then" she said smiling before she loked to him as he gave a slight bow and walked out "Such a gentleman" she smiled and walked outside looking around before she began to walk towards a tree and picked out some vines."We can makea net , maybe..." she froze seeing something, it ;ooked exactly like what Cody had descibed to her yesterday and she froze on the spot.

Cody grinned and followed her. He blushed as he was called a gentleman "No just do whats right" He watched her look out first so did the same. Hopeing that the y wouldnt see anything or anyone.

Watching her gather stuff he nodded "That would be good...heard you can catch them with your hands tooo" He stretched the last syllable since he noticed that she had froze. His eyes widdened and turned slowly to see where he was looking, making it so she was behind her, hopefully protected until he saw what she did.

Looking over his shoulder she stood frozen to the spot, every part of her told her to run but she couldn’t move a muscle. Her voice stuttered as she spoke “W-what you described yesterday…” she stuttered. “We need to run…” she said. She noticed something familiar about the shapes of it though; she recognised who they used to be which frightened her even more. It used to be alive, but she knew that person was dead; she saw their body with the others that had numbers on them and looked to Cody worried.
