Cody finally saw what she had seen and nodded numbly to her picked up Cass and walked to her "Where to run to" He whispered
He looked back and shook his head "Maybe they didnt see us, maybe we can still get away" He said softly.

"L-Let's just hope so" she said her voice still stuttering and looked to Cody "There" she said pointing "We might as well try to hide first" she said hugging Cass to her.

Handing Cass over to her in hopes that Cass could calm her down a little. He nodded and looked around "Where should we hide, maybe high up?" He looked around trying to find the area that would hide them the best. It seemed maybe the hadnt been spotted yet, or maybe that was just him hoping.

"They shouldn't be able to get there" she said and calmed down kicking her legs she got out from his arms as he held her, she didn't want to burden him,she was a little red though and tried shaking it off before she still held cass to her, calming herse;f down or at least trying to. It had shaken her more than she showed. She let Cody take the lead and once they were hidden she spoke. "Cody, I knew that person, my cousin, that was my cousin.." she stuttered feeling weak for the first time in ages.

Nodding Cody began running there making sure that she was right behind her. He was terrified of course, and blamming himself, he was the one that wanted the wide open spaces, the freedom of no buildings, thinking it would be safier but it wasnt.

When they got there and spoke he licked his lips and held her to him. "I am so sorry Ren So very sorry" He paused "Its okay to be weak Ren ,and cry it might be good"

She just listened to him as he spoke her hands gripping his shirt a little not wanting to let go at the moment, she didn't understand why he was saying sorry though, she wanted to get away from the buidlings for once as well. She niffed a little already crying by the time he had spoke her head just resting against him, her cousin was close to her as well, she just kept clinging to him for a little while, she had a feeling they couldn't get up to where they were.

Cody felt helpless so just continued to hold her. He had a feeling that tears would help, tears were clensing and helped the soul. He sighed and rubbed her arms softly as she began to cry. "I am so sorrey Ren, let it out its good to cry"

He rested his chin on her head and continued to hold her.

She blinked a little and stopped crying, she blushed releasing she had been clinging to him the entire time "you have nothing to be sorry for though" she said "I'm thankful you're alive still or I'd have no one here" she whispered softly hugging him tightly and shifted a little smiling before she lifted her head and looked to him, "I'm sorry..." she said a little embarassed about it still, she had never felt weak before in front of others always hiding herself if she got upset, appearing stronger than she really was, but she smiled happily, she needed to cry more than she herself knew.

Cody continued to hold her. He felt the feeling oddly comforting her it had been so long with out touching someone he was afaird that it would have hurt but not with her it felt good. He smiled "Well I am glad that I am alive too" He said softly trying to make her smile.

He shook his head "Dont be sorry how many times have you told me that its okay to show weakness" He took a thumb and gently whiped his eyes. He wasnt sure why he did it. He pulled his hand back. "I am sorry for that, dont know why I did that"

She smiled a little at him and kissed both his eyes after he gently wiped his eyes and smiled softly to him “C’mon we should try finding a way back, we might have to move our stuff, but I don’t want to leave this place” she said “and thank you” she said to him turning and pecking his cheek partly to see how he’d react, before she tried to figure out a way back to their camp feeling more at ease than she ever had in so long, and to be honest she hadn’t minded Cody holding her either, so long without touching another person made things a bit strange, but in a good way for her anyway.
Smiling even more she had a feeling that Cody was probably blushing right now and looked to him over her shoulder.

Cody frowned "We have to go back?" He said softly a little nervous about leaving their safe place. "Well what do we have there?" He was wondering if they really needed to go back, he knew they did but was hopeing that they didnt have to yet.

He blushed as he felt her peck his cheek. "Ummm your welcome" He said with a smile. He grinned as she smiled "Alright you caught me I am blushing again, its your fault" He said with a bit of a tease.

"Yeah, I left something precious there,I don't want to loose it so yes we have to go back plus you left something there as well and a lot fo our stuff is there, we can get it later if you like?" she said noticing he was a little nervous, she was as well to be honest. "OH I know that, but you're so fun to tease" she said laughing a little "Although that really was meant as a thank you, plus you look cute when you blush, reminds me of my old freind"

Frowning Cody nodded. He had known that they would have to go back. He was just a little fearful, seeing one so close made it real again. The bubble had been popped there was no place that would be completly safe.

He sighed and looked down "Hmmm do you think its safe now?" He was purposly ignoring his coment about him being cute when he blushed, thinking about ti wold only mkae him blush more.

"It should be, we can move tomorrow, although apart fromt hat this place appears safe, also I doubt they can find us as easily and they'll be easier than man eating creatures..." she said " Cody, what do you think,wnat to stay in the area for a little longer?" she asked him curiously, wondering what he would say.

[Xuxa_Rene]

Cody nodded. "Tommorw will be better" He said 'Its too dark right now" He didnt want to admit it but he didnt like the dark. The dark was scary and things leaped out and attacked you in the dark.

"Maybe we go in the morning and get the stuff, will it be okay till then?"

"We'll freeze out here without the blankets Cody, come on" she said and grabbed his hands leading him back to the cave even when it got dark she didn't stop her fast pace until they were back. She set up a warm fire and looked to COdy "Now isn't that much better?" she asked him her arms crossed over her chest.

Sighing Cody knew she was right and even though the apporching darkness was scaring him to the point that he could hardly breath he went with her. He smiled at the fire. "So much better" He say down and brought his knees to his chin and licked his lips staring at the fire. "So will we start tommrow on the tree house?"

"Yeah, tomorrow we'll start on it somehow" she said thinking a little to herselfbefore looking to him and moved sitting beside him and pulling a blanket over them both "You ok?" she asked a little worried as she pulled her knees up to ehr chest as well and looked to him with her mismatched eyes waiting for an answer.

"Just feel foolish for being ascared of the darkness" He paused and stared out into it "Well tis not so much the darkness but the stuff that lurks in the dark" He admited.

Hearing that they were going to start of the tree house he grinned "Sounds prefect" He smiled at her. "I do really like your eyes" He said again.

She smiled and kissed his nose "Thank you" she said to him smiling still before rustling her hair a little and leaning into him rest her head on his shoulder feeling tired "warm" she whispered softly,moving a little tryin to get comfortable since she didn't want to move.

Cody smiled and wrapped his arm around her as she leaned her head on him he nodded, "Yes it is warm" He said softy yawning. "Amazing how tired I can be when we didnt do much" He said quietly. Although he knew that they had both been through a lot her more then he had but he wasnt about to bring that up.

He continued to hold her it just felt right he couldnt really explain it.

She smiled and kissed his cheek softly as he wrapped his arm around her “Yeah, but you can also be mentally tired as well” she said relaxing completely feeling as though she would drift off at any moment she lay down but took him with her and snuggled into him a little keeping his arm around her. Cass yipped and curled by the fire contently. She felt so comfortable and safe for once, it was hard to explain but everything felt right at the moment. She pulled her blanket over her a little as well exhausted after everything but still wanted him there to make sure he was still ok.

"I guess" Cody allowed when she mentioned him being mentally tired. He sighed then licked his lips and allowed her to pull him down he closed his eyes but wouldnt fall asleep until he was sure that she was asleep he was worried about her but didnt want to upset her with him asking.

He sighedsoftly. "Its okay Ren get some sleep, hopefull y things will look better in the morning"

Ren was asleep very quickly snuggled into him a little curling up a little as well. She moved a little in her sleep, snapping awake in the middle of the night suddenly awakening from the nightmare she was having and tried not to knock Cody as she looked around and gave a soft sigh curling back up trying to get back to sleep.

She woke once more in the morning a little late nudging Cody a little as she looked up and then over her shoulder to see Cass and smiled softly.

Feeling Ren fall asleep Cody sighed and fell into a light sleep. He awoken when she did but just held her tight and waited for the nightmare to pass. Then he would fall asleep but he work and every sound and movement.

In the morning he work and stretched and looked up at Ren "So how you feeling?" He asked yawning "You didnt sleep well did you?" He asked concered.
