Javent looked to her father and nodded..."Be safe." He says as he too took off eaisly catching up with Avani and following her threw the woods.

She stayed quiet through the whole entire time as they made their way on the small beaten path. she was nervous, on edge and didn't know what to expect, every time she looked around she half expected some animal or man to jump up and grab her.

Tightening her finger's on the reign's she glanced around more. forcing herself to breath evenly and calm down and stop letting her imagination run away with her mind. She made herself think logically, one . Lord Devon was no where near their place yet, and Two. wolves usually hunt at night unless of course it was a pack that had been starving for days and decided to try a human for an easy meal.

That nearly made her calm completely, had her mind working out the things that where scaring her. Even got to the point where she refused to believe her father c ould be hurt, which meant he would definitely meet them up at the summer home. Looking ahead she grimaced as the path began to grow smaller and smaller, forcing her to pull Sugar back into a light trot." slow Thunder down Jacent.. we do not want to enjoy the horses. Roots of tree's growing out of the ground is a bad thing for a running horse. could break a leg or make them lame."

Jacent rode beside her keeping silent as well. He slowed when she told him and he looked to her..."Alright then." He says as he looked over to her..He could tell she had alot on her mind and wished he knew what to do to help her.

She nodded, glad he was listening as she looked around again, it was growing dark. but not with night, with storm cloud's, she really didn't want to be caught out in a storm. " we need to hurry.. blasted weather is not helping at all. " Hearing a nearby howl definitely did put her in a good mood.

Nudging sugar gently , she moved forward, letting the horse pick their way carefully over the path and stepping over fallen logs and uprooted root's from badger's and other wildlife. " we are .. maybe. half way there.. its in a valley that is very well protected "

He looked to her and then to the sky..."We don't have too much longer before it hits." He says noting the howl...He wasn't worried about that...Wolfs would be eaiser to dispatch then humans were.. He then followed her as well..."Alright then sounds good." He says with a smile

she grimaced" i know.. its a thunderstorm from the look of it, they usually hit hard and fast and then go just as fast as they came. " Atleast he was still calm. she was using that to keep herself calm.telling herself that she only had to worry when Jacent was worried, because then that would be bad, very bad.

They nearly made it out of the forest , when Sugar suddenly jerked her head up, gave a sound of fright and backed up fast, raming her rump into Thunder and reared up in surprise. Avani barely had time to grab ahold of the saddle to keep her from being thrown off. " Sugar! easy!" her heart pounding she struggled to get the horse under control ,straining to hear or see what was spooking her.. Sugar just wouldn't stop. she jerked forward, found she couldn't go one way then backed up , ramming into Thunder again and tried to take off again, but the small area was preventing her from doing anything but running into tree's. which Avani got smacked up against a few times on her leg, but refused to fall off.

She was more afraid of her back hoove's connecting with Jacent or Thunder from the kicks and bucking she was doing then anything else. So struggled to try and get her calmed down. Atleast until she spotted the blurr of silver and grey fur. " jacent! wolves!"

Thunder got uneasy as well but held his control better then sugar. He would back up everytime that sugar backed in to him..."Hang on Avani." He says as he turned to chase her...when she yelled wolves he pulled out his dagger jumping off his horse and landing on the ground. He then took he knife and sliced deeply into his thigh making it bleed profusivly in order to draw the wolves attention...he then fell on the ground keeping his knife hidden. It wasn't long after the wolves circled him ignoring Avani for now..."come on.." he smirked as he got up in a crouched posistion. It was then the wolves all lunged at him. He waited for the last second before quickly dispatching them. By this time his wound healed completely.."Its clear..." he says as he whistled for thunder who came running to him.

Avani's eyes widened as he sliced himself in the leg and practically offered himself up as a meal to the wolves" what the hell are you doing jacent? are you crazy?" , she should have known he would do something like that, it worried her though wondering if it would one day back fire against him. shaking her head she finally got sugar to calm down, though suffered a few scrapes and bruises from being knocked against tree's . but she was alright. " are you okay ? "

He stood up off the ground and looked to her..."yes I'm fine....what about you Avani?" He asks her curiously as he walked over to her examining her..."does anything hurt?" He asks her

she stared at him a little before relaxing and letting him examine her. " i am fine.. just small bumps and bruises ..come on though , we need to leave before anything else come after us or bug us. "

glancing down at her leg she moved it a little before leaning down and kissing him softly "wish you would stop doing things to make me worry about you love. "

He smiles.."alright good." He says with a grin as he kissed her back..."sorry it was the only thing I could think of." He says with a smile as he got back up on thunder..."lead the way love." He says with a smile

she sighed and relaxed, watching him climb up. " uh huh. you need a new way of thinking. " nudging sugar forward, glad that now she wasn't fighting against Avani with the reign's she pushed forward" once we are out of the forest we need to keep heading north. we should pass a large hill that will be covering the path to the valley."

He smiles.."it was the first thing that came to mind." He says as he nodded his head.."alright sounds good to me." He grinned as he followed beside her

It was two more hours before she spotted the house they where to live in for now, turning to him she smiled and pointed" look.. " she felt exhausted but now a bit more excited now. she turned back then groaned in dismay as the cloud's opened up and poured rain down hard upon them. " oh crap. " sighed. pulling her cloak up over her head, protecting her face a bit from the stinging drops of rain, she nudged Sugar into a faster trot.

He looked to her and smiles..."your father certainly doesn't spare expense." He says with a smile as it then starter to rain. He nudged thunder along as well keeping up with her..

She was soaked by the time they got to the house,sliding off of it before looking over to him. " but of course. .. i mean he is a Lord... but its not always on himself he spends things.. err well other then me, he does donate money to those who need it, buys stock and breed's animals for some of the villager's and everything. " leading Sugar to the stable she opened the barn door and led the horse inside. " gaaah. bloody rain is cold. "

He grinned.."I see" be says as he got off thunder and followed her to the stable..."well shouldnt be too hard to keep our selves alive." He says with a grin..."it is Alittle cold.." he says brushing his wet hair from his face.

she nodded, taking the saddle and bridle off of Sugar and quickly padded her down dry with a towel before brushing her out and putting her in the stable with feed and water. " it is.. which means if the two of us don't hurry up and get warmed up . i see being sick in the future for us. " smiled as she got some towels for Thunder. " here. dry him off with these.. even horses can get sick if not properly taken care of. i will put some feed and water in the stall next to sugar for him. "

He smiles as he looked to her..."how about you go inside so you don't get sick and ill take care of the feeding." He says with a smile as he took the stuff off his horse as well and began to dry him off brushing him as he did so.

she blinked, before pushing her hair out of her face." well alright. i will see if i can find some clean towels for the both of us too. " smiled, leaning close and kissing his cheek before heading into the house. she was cold and managed to hide it well.

Once inside she made her way up to the room she used whenever they spent the summer here. least it was still clean so all she did was strip down, and picked up a towel from the pile she found and began to pat her skin dry.

He grinned as she kissed his cheek and headed inside. He finished taking care of the horses before heading inside as well. He could feel where she was so finding her was easy..."alright I think were set." He says with a smile as he started to pull his wet clothing off as well

looking back at him and blushing bright she tossed a towel towards him. " mmm good. . i will check the kitchen.. one thing i learned from hanging around in a kitchen as a child is how to make a proper meal. not to fancy but one that will surely fill our stomach's up with good food. ahh sadly it may be all vegetarian at the moment.. since no one has been here we don't have any meat yet. maybe one of the soldiers can go out hunting later?"

He grinned as she blushed and he caught the towl..."Alright then...And that sounds fine with me." He says with a smile as he pulled the rest of his cloths off and started to dry off.

she couldn't help herself as she eyed him over before sitting down and pull on clean clothing, least the dress she had this time was a lighter one, though it would still keep her warm for the most part. " mmm thats good, most men .. err.. the ones i know anyways.. would get .. angry if we didn't have any meat to eat.. "

she didn't know what was up with that but she dealt with it, and now she had jacent and he was definitely one she enjoyed getting along with." i am real glad your not like most men hun. "

He grinned as she eyed him...He had been eyeing her anyway..Once he was dry he pulled on a pair of pants leaving his shirt off..."I'm not a picky person Avani." He says with a smile as he looked to her..."Really thats good then." He says with a chuckle.
