Ella kisses his forehead and neck as she felt their bodies shaking. She helped him lay down on his back. She cuddled up to him and strokes his chest trying to help him relax. After a couple weeks, everyone was preparing for the wedding. Ella was stressing over the dress and her Vail. Every material they tried, she was having an allergic reaction.

The days began to pass quickly after that night and before Kaimar knew it, two weeks had gone and everyone was gearing up for the royal wedding.  It was all becoming quite stressful, especially for Ella and worryingly, she seemed to develop an allergy to almost everything that was put on her.  This worry became very clear and prominent to Kaimar. 

After the latest disaster and seeing his love in hives again, Kaimar lost his patience, "That's it."  He said firmly, "I'm calling in the doctor.  We need to get to the bottom of this."....

Ella was in tears from the latest disaster. She really loved it. She says, "This is not fair I loved the naked material of this one." She looks at herself. "I just want to make myself beautiful for our wedding. Does the baby not like it or something?" She was so stressed out and it showed in her eyes. She sits down in a chair and holds her head.

Kaimar knelt down beside her chair and touched her face lightly.  Her skin was hot and blotchy and he truly felt sorry for her.  "It will be fine."  He cooed at her, "Hell, if you can't wear any of this fabric, we'll just get married naked, hmm?"  He smiled, trying to make her smile back and laugh if possible.  "What about something soft and basic instead, like cotton?"  Her dressmakers gasped in horror at the notion, but Kaimar was serious.  He'd known of people that had such delicate skin, they could only wear soft cotton and perhaps Ella's pregnancy had induced this deep sensitivity.

The doctor arrived and quickly checked her over, noting the new allergies.  "I'll prescribe some anti-histamines."  He said, "But the stress isn't helping.  You need some down time and I'd recommend a bath with honey and milk in the water.  The oils and sugars will help ease the itching.  If it gets any worse, I will send someone with some coal-tar.  But use it sparingly."....

Ella looks at the doctor and says, "Of course I am stressed out. My wedding is less than a week away and I don't have a dress to wear. On top of that, l look a red spotted albino lobster." She looks at Kaimar, "I don't think anyone would appreciate it if we get married naked." She rests her head on his shoulder.

[LadyRaven]

Kaimar nodded and stroked her hair tenderly as she rested her head on him, "I know, my love."  He cooed, "I know you're under a lot of pressure."  He quickly waved everyone out of the room and led her into the bathroom.  There, he ran her a hot bath.  "Let's get you some relaxation."  He said to her, "A few days without anyone bugging you for this and that.  Let me and Chuck deal with everyone and everything and you just sit back and let things slide by."....

Ella looks at him as he led her to the bath. She says, "But you know that my family is going to be here soon. Beatrice and Rachel are coming. I don't want you to have to deal with it." She strokes his cheek. "Cotton isn't a bad idea for the dress. It is just not that comfortable for long periods." She was itching like crazy. Her whole body was screaming.

Kaimar filled the tub and carefully put Ella into it.  "I will deal with your sisters."  He told her, "Now you rest and relax for a while."  It wasn't a request, she truly needed the time off.....

Ella wanted to scream as soon as her body hit the water. Her body was screaming. Her skin was boiling. "If you get worked up with them, just tell them that I will turn them into stone." She knew that he was just trying to help her. But shutting down her head off was impossible for her. "Can you have Cookie make some dessert with peanut butter?"

Kaimar nodded and then turned on the cold tap.  Obviously, it was too hot on her skin and she was being too kind to yell at him for it.  He made the water more tepid and comfortable for her skin and then pulled the bellchord near the bath.  Chloe came in with a sad smile for her mistress.  "Can you have Cookie dig out some desserts with peanut butter, please Chloe?"  He asked, "The colder the better, I think."
"Yes Sire."  Chloe said and quickly ran off.
Kaimar turned his attention back to Ella, "And the next time I make the bath too hot, for the sake of Herra, let me know?"....

She looks at him with a smile. She says, "You would being so sweet. I did not want to discourage you." She let's herself soak in funky water. She says after a moment, "Maybe this is because of the stress. The hives I mean." She strokes his cheeks. She says, "I just want things to be perfect for us." She sighs softly.

Kaimar nodded and smiled, "Most likely."  he told her as he poured some of the water over her skin to ease the burning itch.  "And everything will be perfect, I promise.  You simply being there will make it perfect.  Everything else is just topping."  He kissed her once more and then left her to it as Chloe arrived with a tray piled high with puddings.  Kaimar smiled briefly and then left the room to go and deal with her family.  He wasn't looking forward to seeing the girls, but he was looking forward to seeing Roger.  They had lost of things to discuss.....

Ella spent the day in the bathtub. Until her skin finally calms down. Once that happens, she gets dressed and makes her way to the kitchen to take care of the dishes and tray. She jumps some though when she turns to see her sisters waiting for her. Beatrice says, "Convince your husband to give us money so we can hire servants." Ella says, "Sorry but then you would not learn to be proper women." Rachel huffs and grabs a pair of scissors. She cuts Ella across the eye and face. Ella pushes them away and calls for Kaimar and Chuck.

Kaimar and Chuck arrived just about the same time.  Cookie took care of Ella, covering the wound as quickly as she could and the other kitchen staff grabbed Beatrice and Rachel to stop them escaping.  When Kaimar saw what the sisters had done, he roared at them and struck them both.  At this point, Roger also arrived and stared in horror at the scene.  Chuck quickly explained why they had been summoned and even Roger then had no sympathies for his daughters.  And soon enough, the word spread and the entire castle knew what Ella's sisters had done.  They were taken to the dungeon while Ella was tended to by the doctor.  He informed them there would be a slight scar, but it wouldn't be anything too noticeable.  Kaimar didn't care about her having any scars, just that she had been attacked for no reason other than to say no to her sisters.

As the end of the day drew near, Beatrice and Rachel were brought to Kaimar's study under guard while Ella was sent to rest.  Chuck stood at his friend's side as Kaimar sat in his chair and regarded the selfish, evil women.  Roger was also there and stood with his head turned away from the girls in shame and disgust.  Only Kaimar looked at them directly.  "You two have put me in an impossible situation now, Beatrice, Rachel."  He said firmly, "On the one hand, you Rachel, have attacked a member of this royal household, a Queen.  Such an attack is treason under our laws and by those laws, I should have your head.  And you, Beatrice, you have conspired with her.  The law demands both your heads for treason to the crown and attempted murder."  He sighed and shook his head, "And yet, you are family to the Queen and I know she would not want you punished by death.  Either way ladies, you have brought shame on your father and on your family.  You were given a fine home, rent and mortgage free, a chance at life in the royal court and you've thrown it away for the sake of your own selfish need."  He shook his head again and stood up from his chair. 

Kaimar knew that he couldn't simple exile them from the castle and the lands, for he knew they would simply return and cause more trouble, or turn to one of the disgraced nobles and possibly gain the opportunity to actually kill Ella next time.  He simply couldn't risk her life like that, nor any of his household.  And he couldn't kill them, which left only one other punishment.  A lifetime locked away in the dungeon.  He looked to Roger with sadness in his eyes.  "I'm so sorry, Roger, for what I am about to do, but I cannot leave this violent cruelty unpunished.  I hope one day, you may forgive me for this."  He turned his eyes back to Beatrice and Rachel.  "For the crimes of violent assault, attempted murder and treason against the crown, I hereby sentence you, Beatrice Matthews, Rachel Matthews, to life in prison.  You will be taken hence to the dungeons below this castle where you will serve out your time in solitude.  You will be kept separate from each other and the guards will not speak with you, either of you.  In this silence, I hope you will find peace enough in your thoughts to perhaps one day, find forgiveness in the eyes of your Queen."  He nodded to the guards, "Take them down."

Ella slowly got up from her room. The wound down her face and eye could not stop bleeding. She comes in the room as the guards grab ahold of her sisters intended to drag them down to the dungeon. She did not stop them but she did look at her sisters with pity and shame. Rachel looks at them and says, "That will not keep me from getting what is mine. Your husband cannot shield you from my wrath." Ella did not say anything. She was too upset.

Kaimar looked up as the door opened and Ella entered the study.  Her wound was still bleeding badly and he saw behind her, the doctor trying to sort something out to stem the flow and prevent any infection.  "My love."  He said, "You need to settle and let the doctor tend your injuries.  Please."  His eyes then snapped to Rachel as the sisters were being escorted out.  He narrowed them at the threat given, "What is yours, Rachel."  He said coldly, "Is a ten by eight cell made of stone, a wooden bed stuffed with straw and a six inch squared window with bars.  That, my girl, you are most welcome to.  The rest now reverts back to your father and your eldest sibling, Lady Claire.  Enjoy your new home, Rachel, Beatrice."  And he ended it there as the girls were led away in chains.

The dungeon and Rachel's and Beatrice's cell was just as promised.  The stone walls were dark with only a small single candle for light.  The girls were led into their respective new homes and the doors were shut and locked tight behind them.  There was a small spy hole in the door with a cover and a small flap at the bottom where their meals and waste buckets would be pushed through.  It was dank, it was cold and it was silent.  No amount of screaming, crying or shouting would be heeded there and all the guards were under orders not to speak to, or interact with them in any way....

Ella looks at her husband a moment. She says holding her face some, “How can you expect me to just lie in bed when my own sisters have tried to kill me?” She watched as her sisters were dragged away kicking and screaming like little kids. Tears went down her face as she could feel and see the darkness was consuming their souls. “The darkness will be their only embrace and comfort for them. I feel sorry for them.” Tears went down her face mixing with blood as they fell from her cheeks.

Kaimar moved Ella to sit in his chair and let the doctor do his work.  He looked down at her and shook his head, "You cannot be responsible for their souls, Ella."  He told her firmly, "And I would have expected you to stay as far away from them as humanly possible.  Yes, they actually tried to kill you and now they will be punished for it.  I know you love them, despite their nature, so I have spared them a death sentence, but I can't just let them roam around the kingdom harbouring their revenge on you.  What awaits them in the dungeon is of their own doing, my love.  I just pray that some day, they will understand this and plead their forgiveness to you.  But until that day, they will remain in solitude to reflect on their dark, selfish nature."

The doctor finished his work finally and as he moved away, Kaimar knelt down in front of Ella and touched her uninjured cheek tenderly.  "I love you, so much."  He told her, "All I want in this world to protect you and love you and make you happy."  He didn't mention the baby as her father was still in the room.  "You are my world, Ella."...

Eleanor looks at him weakly as she sits in the chair. "You are going to be my husband and I know that I am your world as much as you are mine. You know my heart is too kind to stay mad at them for long. They are my family my sisters my blood. There is nothing they could do to me or to anyone else that would make me stop loving them. I will not interfere with their punishment but I will not turn a blind eye to them either. My face will heal and the bear the mark of their betrayal for all time. Their souls will bear the mark of their sins for all eternity after everything here has turned to dust. Who am I to bear hatred towards them, when all they have coming to them is endless pain." Her eye would have weakened sight for the rest of her life because of the wound. She did not need a doctor to tell her that. She could feel it. Things are going to be different now for sure. She looks at her father wanting to give him some joyful news to forget this sorrow. "Father I know you disapprove of us being intimate before our marriage. But you cannot hate us for long for that. Because you are going to be a grandfather and I will not have you not be in their lives. But be warned now. If you ever call them bastards you will not be forgiven. For that was the worst thing you can call a person when they have just come into this world. And it follows them for life. I won't have that with my children. With our children."

Kaimar nodded in agreement and understanding, "I know."  He said, "But don't blame yourself for their ways, my love.  They have had all the choices and time they needed to be good people.  It is not your fault that they chose to be this way.  You did everything for them and loved them despite themselves."  He looked then to Roger, who seemed as ashamed and hurt as Ella did, but then Ella told him their secret and his eyes picked up quickly.  Kaimar felt nervous for a moment, but within seconds, it was unfounded as Roger smiled with pride again.

Standing up, Kaimar faced Roger.  "We were meaning to keep this secret until after the wedding."  He said carefully, "We didn't want to anger you further, I didn't want to anger you further."
Roger nodded, but kept his smile, "I understand."  He said, "But you needn't have."  He took Kaimar into his arms and hugged him tightly, "You've made me a happy old man.  I will never look on them as bastards, for I know you two will never be dishonourable.  I've learned in my time here that things aren't always what they seem."  He then let Kaimar go and knelt down in front of Ella.  He smiled softly and touched her wounded cheek with tenderness and care.  "I will welcome my grandchildren with all my heart and soul and I will love them as I have loved you your whole life, my little princess."

Eleanor did not understand why her sisters would go to such a dark place inside their souls. But she also knew that there was nothing she could do for them now. Their fate was sealed. The only thing that could possibly save them was a priest and confession. But she thought it would be best if they waited a few days. So the girls would have some time to think about their actions more clearly.

She was happy that her father would accept their children despite them being conceived before the wedding. Sometimes waiting did more harm than good. She says to both of them, "Our children is something to celebrate. So why don't we have a little bit of of a feast in their honor?"

[LadyRaven]

Both Kaimar and Roger looked to each other and nodded, "But we should keep it private."  Roger said, "People outside our family may not be as understanding as us and I'd hate to see your firstborn denied because of bad timing."
"I agree."  Kaimar said, "Things haven't changed much since I was born and it took a near war with the nobles for my father to have me accepted as his heir."....

Ella took in what they were telling her and understood with a nod. She says, "We will keep it small. Only we who reside in the castle of the children. No one else will know until the right time." She slowly stood up from the chair. "We shall hold the feast tomorrow night. Tonight I need rest and some time to comprehend everything that has happened tonight and what it means for our future." She held her head high despite the pain in her eyes and her heart. She was already beginning to act and think like a queen. She kisses Kaimar on the lips gently. She says to both of them, do not stay up super late tonight. You will need all of your energy for the party tomorrow. And I will not take no for an answer to a dance from both of you tomorrow." she kisses her father on the cheek as a kiss goodnight. From there she retired to their bedrooms for the night.

By morning though her wound was almost healed. It would leave a puffy pink scar at first. But it did not bother her. She began the preparations for the feast without telling the servants what the feast was for. Only a select few knew already and she wanted to keep it that way for tonight. She even did some of her own cooking and baking to add her personal touch to the feast. Pretty soon everyone was affected by her enthusiasm and energy for the party that was to come.

Kaimar nodded and smiled to Ella and then 'crossed his heart' to promise that he would be in bed at a decent hour.  And he was.  He spent the night cuddling Ella close to him and watching her wound heal.  She had some talent for that, he couldn't deny.  By the morning, it was barely more than an ugly red line down her cheek and even that looked to be fading.

By breakfast, Kaimar was hard at work of his own.  While Ella prepared for the feast, he went over everything that had been happening the last few days.  His guards had left him reports of the sister's first night in prison and it didn't look good.  After several hours of screaming and swearing, they had been forced to listen to manipulation, insult and false begging.  He felt sorry for his guards that had their entire careers to listen to it.  Shaking his head, he signed the reports and filed them in the tray to go back down to the prison office.  Next, he looked over the reports from the nobles.  After the display, many had turned on their tails and accepted Kaimar's rule.  This made him happy for the moment, but he would have to tread carefully for a long time with them.  The reports from their lands looked good also, but he would go and view their descriptions himself before passing judgement.  And so, the day continued....

Ella spent the day making sure not to hear members of the staff spreading rumors of how her sisters were acting. She did not want to hear of their darkness. Once everything was set for the feast tonight, she could not help but smile. She had Chuck at her side as she says looking at all the decorations, “I think I went a little overboard with the decorations and food. You could feed an army with all this food.”
