"Yes. The first stages are a fever you can't sweat out then increasing senses. You however broke the fever." she said. She smiled. "It's truly a new life." She said. "You are like a new baby when you welcome this life. You However just get a taste." she said.

Daniel nodded, he understood everything... This life seemed better in some ways. He sighed though... how would she react to him turning... him saying that... he was thinking about it.. becoming a shape shifter like them... joining the pack as an official member. He thought... he looked up at her. He would be like a new born... a new life... still it would be a new life with her. "Lith... I'm... thinking... maybe I could become a shape shifter as well..." he brought it up. He wanted to see how she reacted... he didn't know.

[Tierra]

She unravelled the cloth around his wound to inspect it and see how well it healed. He started to speak and she looked at him. She frowned a little. "Daniel... I.... I could never do that to you" she said. She wished he was one of them, running under the moon with her, basking in new life. She couldn't put him through the pain. "I... I want it. I really do but I couldn't change you. The pain you would go through.." She said poring more drink onto his wound. "This is but a taste of how it will feel" she said putting a hand across his forehead to check for fever. "I'm sorry...." she said looking down. She longed for him to be like her.

[Chaosmazer]

Hearing the regret in her voice, Daniel knew that she wanted him to be like her. He looked up at her feeling her hand on his head. A bit of the fever still remained, but it was going away. "It is a pain that I would willingly go through..." he said. "I want to be with you... with this pack... a true member..." he said. After hearing how she described her life... what he knew of shape shifters like her. He wanted this as well.

[Tierra]

"It's a pain that could break a man Daniel" she said running a wet cloth across his forehead. "I have seen some pass away before the change. I don't want to bring that upon you" she said. "You are with me... With the pack.. They see you as if they see a brother" she said taking one of his hands in hers. "I couldn't do that to you.." she said again looking down.

[Chaosmazer]

Feeling her care for him, his hand being held in hers... he was calm now... the fever was starting to break, he was feeling better... most of it was just being near her. "I... could take the pain..." he said. "I've... gone through things... seen things that you wouldn't believe..." he said. This was true... for as young as he was, he has had adventures that most men could only brag about into old age. But he still listened to her reasoning. "But... still... I won't be able to run with you under the moonlight... I won't be able to hunt with you... I... I want to do these things..." he said looking up at her.

[Tierra]

"I don't want to risk it.." She said "I don't want to be the one to change your life like that." she said. She was afraid of hurting him or losing him in the process. "I'm sure you have but this will change you forever. There's no turning back." she said. "People will shoot at you if you are in the wrong form at the wrong time" she said. "I wish you could run with us... You can run with us under the moon. The hunt on the other hand is something I wouldn't want you to see or do." She said looking down at him. "Can't you live happy with us the way you are? As you? I don't want to lose you" She said saddened by her emotions. She longed for it but refused it.

Lith was right about a few things... it was a one way thing... he couldn't change his mind if he had already taken the offer. She didn't want to be the one to change him... but still... maybe he could find someone else... no... he should respect her wishes... still... he wanted to make her happy. He wanted to please her. "I will always be happy... no matter what form I have... as long as you are with me." he said. "Don't worry about it... we shouldn't dwell on the bad things... we all survived the attack at least." he said smiling slightly, trying to cheer her up a bit.

[Tierra]

She half smiled at him. "Rest. You need it. I'm just gonna go outside for a little bit" she said standing. "The attack isn't over... They have been watching us for the last few moons." She said looking down at him. "I'm just going to get a report from the others. I'll be back soon. Promise" she said before walking out.

[Chaosmazer]

Daniel nodded, he closed his eyes... he started to drift off to sleep once more... his body still needed to recover. He was weaker than normal, but at least he was getting better... and the promise that she would return... he would hold her to that... but he knew that she would return... she would be by him again... he felt as if he needed her, he needed the comfort to know that someone was looking out for him.

[Tierra]

She stood outside and took a deep breath of fresh air. "What news of them?" She asked her eyes scanning the tree lines. She could smell them, they had been near. She listened to the pack and then moved back inside to Daniel. They had talked about him being human and turning him but still she couldn't see him suffer like they did.

[Chaosmazer]

Daniel slept, but his dreams remained troubled... he kept seeing the wolf... wolves everywhere... shape shifters... some were friend, some were foe... he was attacked, yet defended. He was too weak to do anything. He watched as many fought to protect him... for once in his life... he was scared. He couldn't do anything... Paralyzed with fear. He started to sweet... the nightmares must have been brought on by the sickness still moving within him... still, he slept.

[Tierra]

She brushed his forehead with her hand. He was getting hotter again. She took a damp cloth and ran it across his forehead and neck. She hummed softly to him and watched as he tossed and turned in his sleep. She knew she had brought this upon him.

[Chaosmazer]

Feeling a cool cloth on his head, he started to calm down... his dreams started to subside... he no longer had nightmares... they calmed down... he just dreamed of him and Lith... the two of them laying down next to each other peacefully, resting on a grassy hillside. He only wished something like this could and would happen... he didn't know. Her humming seemed to sooth him.

[Tierra]

She smiled feeling him relax. She kept humming a little longer as she watched him sleep before curling up next to him. They were both awoken by one of the pack. "He's here..." he said tapping Lith on the shoulder. She looked down at Daniel and smiled softly then walked out to see Coven.

[Chaosmazer]

Daniel didn't wake up once... not when she curled up next to him, though he did feel a bit better... feeling someone close to him did wonders. He started to relax even more. Once she left his side. Daniel continued to sleep soundly... the worst of it was over... he was recovering. His human side was winning out... though he still longed to be like her.

[Tierra]

She wasn't surprised to see him in human form. "What do you want?" she asked looking down her nose at him. "Bet your new company can't change" she said rudely. "I've come for the man" he said ignoring her smart remarks. "They want him back." He said twisting his head a little. "They can't have him." She said turning her back to him and walking back into the cave. The pack closed around the entrance to block Coven from entering.

[Chaosmazer]

Daniel started hearing talk... he started to rouse from sleep... His eyes opened, he recognized one voice... he couldn't make out what was being said though. He started to stand and reach for his blade. That pack wasn't going to do any more harm... He seen that the pack had the entrance blocked, and Lith was walking back into the cave. "What did they want?" Daniel asked leaning on his sword.

[Tierra]

She looked up hearing a voice. "What are you doing? You should be resting" he said moving herself under his arm taking most of his weight on her shoulders. She started to guide him back to the spot where he was laying. "Daniel you must rest" she said lowering him softly.

[Chaosmazer]

Daniel started to fight a bit. "I know that was Coven's voice. What did he want?" Daniel persisted this time a bit more. He wasn't going to let her just shrug it off again. "It... was about me wasn't it?" he asked, his strength starting to fail him. He started to lay down. "What do they want with me?" he asked.

[Tierra]

She felt his strength come back to him. "It was him." she said looking at him. He was fighting her a bit more. "It was.." she said she now felt his strength start to fade. "Rest." she said again still keeping her voice soft.

[Chaosmazer]

His questions unanswered, he was unsatisfied with her response, yet he couldn't fight her about it. "Please... tell me... I..." he said. He couldn't finish. Her asking him to rest was becoming to great. Inside though, he wanted to know. He strained himself, trying to stay up, stay awake and find the truth. "What did he want?" he asked. "Why does he want me?" he asked, he knew why Coven was here, common sense told him that.

[Tierra]

"Coven.... He said they wanted you. He's changed more humans... I'm not the only female now." she said with a half laugh. "He said it was only a matter of time before my... The pack change more people and women.." she said. "I promise you. He will not touch a hair on your head". She pushed him lightly to lay down.

[Chaosmazer]

More of an answer... that was what he was seeking. He still wanted to get up. "I'll... I'll help." he said, but he felt her lightly pushing on him, causing him to lay back down. "I have to help the pack..." he said. He was dedicated, that was for sure. He didn't want to see her get hurt, he didn't want to see the pack get hurt.

[Tierra]

She lent in and kissed his forehead lightly. "Don't worry. I'll sort it out with the boys. You stay here and rest. Soon enough you'll be helping us." she said before walking out to get more information about Coven.
