He looked straight ahead once he gets back in the car and says, "I don't like people dying for no reason. If I had gotten away from you, they would have beaten and killed you for the failure. I am sorry but that is not a good enough reason to kill someone." He was twisted but when he had the urge to hurt someone there was always a reason.

"Well that's how life is I'm afraid" she said to him before she settled down in order to rest a while. Not like it would matter if she died in her sleep. Waking up it was daylight outside once again before looking to him "Where are we now, if I take too long to repot back they consider me dead" she sighed "and that means no pay day even if I return" sounding rather unhappy about that fact.

Nicholas looks at her a moment as he had stop to get something to eat just before she woke up. "We are in Colorado. Just a few states over from where we were. I do not exactly follow the speed limit." He give her a shot of the anti paralysis. Then he gets her a phone out of his bag. It was a disposable cell phone so no one can track it. She would still be slightly paralyzed for the next three days. She still should not be left alone. "You can use that to call The Order if you want. You still will not be able to move very well even after that kicks in." He offers her a burger and begins to finish his meal. "You can tell them that because of the closeness to my uncle's death, cops were going to be all over the place. You wanted to get away from the scene to make sure you wouldn't get caught."

Sighing she took the phone from him and called them, they answered quickly "Who is this?" they asked "Keita, who do you think, my target was killed, but unfortunately a body is not salvageable, I triggered one of his traps while setting up my own and had to leave, I'm a few states now outside the city after hijacking a car, can I collect my pay in a few days I do not wish to be caught by police investigating what happened?" she said "We will set up a meeting station near by where we think you'll end up, keep travelling in that direction until you are satisfied, you will know when we are nearby front he usual signal"

Nicolas looks at the map and he is trying to go to a certain area. He needed to be where the chips were being made by his company and put a stop to it. It turns out that his uncle was making the bombs for The Order. And that wasn't the only thing he was making for The Order. He was working on mind control chips to install in assassins so that the assassins would not be able to leave The Order or miss their mark. What got his uncle in trouble with them was the fact that he wanted to go public with the technology so that the military or other organizations could use it.

Keita looked to him "You're trying to find where the chips are made aren't you?" she asked "and you know exactly why I was sent to kill you as well, you know something you shouldn't know" she frowned before sighing a little "also where are all my weapons, some of those were sentimental for me" she said to him before looking to the map "you're uncle was dangerous and so are you" she sighed before pointing it out to him "It's around this area, none of us like having a bomb embedded in our bodies." she sighed sitting back and ate her food.

He looks at the map where she pointed. "But unlike my uncle I want to get rid of the technology. No one deserves to be made into someone else's puppet. If the bombs are being made there so are the mind control chips. No one should have their hands on this technology. Our company is meant for people to enjoy gaming. Not become mindless slaves." He looks at her with a worried expression. If she went back to the organization, they would most likely put another bomb in her body. She would be stuck serving The Order until they got tired of her. "Don't you want a normal life? Boyfriend maybe?" He was not making a pass at her. He was just trying to give her a different option. He does not remember how many times he has wished for the same thing. To be normal again? What would that be like?

Keita sighed "I can't get out of it, my parents got in debt with the Order before they died, I have to pay their debts off for them" she ruffled her hair "It's a long story but I have not had a normal life so I do not know what I'm missing to be honest, so it doesn't matter" frowning before looking at him "Why do you ask anyway, I still wonder fi you even remember what I tried to do?" she said bluntly "Also even if I did get a boyfriend, I know for a fact no one likes a woman with scars anyway and relationships break down easily, like egg shells they crumble with a single crack"

He looks at her with a serious expression. "How do you know for a fact that a deal was made? You wouldn't be the only one that got tricked into doing something." He takes off his shirt showing her all the scars and marks on his back. "An organization called Sythe wanted to create super soldier. They took boys and girls from the families and did experiments on everyone. All but 5 died because of the experiments. They told the kids that their parents made a deal with them and used them like lab rats."

Keita sighed "I know that because I was part of one of the deals ok?" she said clearly getting annoyed now and wanted to just leave him there and run out but struggled to muster the strength in her legs. Keita didn't remember anything further back than maybe five years ago and even then none of them resembled anything who she'd imagine a lab rat to be treated, just gruelling hours of training after her parents died. "Put your shirt back on as well, and even if I was one of those how did you get away?"

He puts his shirt back and says, "I know you were one of the kids. You have the same mark I do. You probably don't remember because of faulty memory implants. We were all injected with them when we were small. But after few years they start to fall through so new implants be done all over again." He guides one of her hands to the back of her neck where several small scars are there. He helped her rub the scars. And unlike normal scars they stayed thick and easy to tell that they weren't normal. "The three older ones escaped by breaking out of their cells. You and I had a harder time doing that so instead I hacked the main system. We walked out of there but we got seperated." He uses a mirror to show her the identification number her neck. "There was no deal. You are being used."

"Then explain why I'm such a terrible assassin" she said quietly "and I've known those scars were there as long as I can remember, it's nothing new" she sighed. "Can we go soon?" she asked him bluntly nothing was making sense to her at all. When they were back in the car she slept once again pieces of memory slowly returning, whens eh work up, dazed and even more confused she groaned in frustration "Too confusing" she muttered.

He looks at her a moment. "The experiments had different effects on each of us. I have a knack of building things. So it somehow enhances the natural skills of a person. As for new scars, physical punishment can change memories just as much due to trauma." He continues to drive knowing she would have to remember on her own now. He faces forward and holds his head as pain goes through his body.

Keita saw him acting strange in the front of the car and made her body move and stop it so there wasn't a crash "If you're going to freak out at least stop the car" she groaned having the plonk back down on the back set, it took a lot of effort to do that and a lot of pain was now coursing through her own body. "Let's just hurry up and get to where I'm getting my pay" she groaned, "said they'd give me a break as well…which is odd" she muttered and held her head curling up in the back seat.

Nicholas gets out of the car and tenses up as all the veins in his body were glowing deep blue. He says, "Just great. Having my life threatened must have triggered it...." It was a side effect of the experiments. If the inflicted get stressed out or threatened, the serum they were injected with activates to make them stronger. Sort of like a defense mechanism. He falls to his knees as he passes out. Sounds of his bones breaking and being remade is all that can be heard.

Luckily for Keita, that side effect was not seen on her much, due to her job she was used to the stress and had hence forth adapted to be able to cope without getting he side effect too often. She looked outside seeing him changing and shouted "I can't get up but you need to take a deep breath and calm yourself" she said to him "One good thing about this job, being in the constant stress and life endangerment I adapted" she sighed and eventually moved herself again to go outside and kneeled down her arms around him "Calm down, Nicholas" she said softly. Aching all over form the force movement against the drug.

He could hear her words but he was not in control anymore the serum had a hold of him. Even his eyes were taken over. After an hour of this his body stopped having spasms of pain and his bones settled down in their new form. He wakes up slowly. "Damn I feel like I just got my soul ripped out of me." He slowly gets up and helps her back in the car. He continues to drive them to where she needed to go. He remains quiet as he did not like that he needed her help.

When they did get to where she needed to be she got out, her body still aching she just accepted it, pulling on her assassin cloak, she'd saved that from the fire at least and headed to the location she'd been given, they gave her the money and she was given and headed back, they tried to grab her once her back was turned and she moved out of the way quickly before getting back to the car and collapsing "Drive, please, we need to get out of here" she said "they tried to catch me, I don't know why but I think they're the ones who did the experiments"

While the check in was going down he stayed close by having a bad feeling about it. And it turned out he was right. He got her out of there as soon as she was in the car. "We will have to hang low for a while." He hits a button on the dash and the car goes into auto pilot. He gets in back with her to get her secured. And then he gets to his weapons just in case trouble came around.

"I'm never doing that again" she groaned "and how long until that serum wears off, it's killing me" she exaggerated before she was helped back in place "and where do you suggest we go then, there isn't exactly anywhere they don't have assassins" she said to him bluntly before shifting again "and when are you going to change back into your normal form.

He looks at her and says flicking in the forehead, "It will wear off in a few days." He rubs the back of his neck some. "I know a place we can go but you will not like it much. As for my appearance, it's not reversible. I mean the glow will go away in a few hours." He puts a blanket over her. "Your skills are to be able to adapt to any situation and being to act accordingly. You were always that way."

She sighed "Why won't I like it?" she sighed having a rough idea of where they were going "and you're an idiot, but yes problem is it takes it's toll on my body afterwards, like this paralysing goo, I tend to be unable to move for a few hours after I've used my skills." she looked to him "Well going to tell me exactly where we are going, I'm not physic Nick" she said using the nickname she had called him all those years ago… she was starting to remember, it was only fragments but she was definitely remembering something. Keita wanted to move around as well, just like before she hated being still unless it was when sleeping obviously.

Nick smiles some as she finally showed some signs of remembering. "You never liked the country side." He pats her head. "I know that this uncomfortable for you but it is for your own good. When all your memory returns, you will be in a lot pain. Worse than this." He kisses her forehead. "I have tried looking out for you the best I can." He strokes her cheek and says, "When I went looking for you, I was worried that you were being hurt. But I couldn't find you anywhere. My parents found me but I could not stop looking for you."

"I don't remember mine, so I don't even know if they're alive and I'll adapt, isn't that what I'm good for" she said even more uncomfortable with how he was treating her now, it was strange in general let alone the actions coming from him. "I just remember being in the main building for training for several years, this year was my first year out of there" she said to him before she stayed where she was "Well then, who long are we driving for again?"

Nicholas understood what she meant but she did not seem to remember that they were connected to each other. But that was okay. At least she was free. "We have to drive for about 3 hours and then we'll be fine." He goes back to the front so he doesn't keep making her feel uncomfortable. That was the sucky thing about being the only one that could remember. But he hoped that with time she would too. She did not have to remember everything or love him back but he wanted her to be completely free.
