Keita slept once again not able to do much more until the goo wore off, she woke up around three hours later and blinked looking around "Ok where are we now?" she winced a sudden pain running through her head "have any painkillers by any chance, my head is killing me right now" she said to him. Shifting where she was the blanket falling off of her, "and any chance of a proper bed either" she passed and frowned before noticing where they were "Why are we here?" she growled.

Nicolas took them to the countryside just as he said he would. He had just pulled into the driveway of the cottage when she woke up. "We are here because this is the last place they would ever look for us. Plus I have rigged everything so if anyone gets too close we can blow them up." He takes her out of the car and carries her inside. Outside the cottage looked like a normal cottage. But inside it was as high tech as his place or his car. He puts her in her bedroom and covers her up. "I will bring you some medicine. But prepare yourself for it to get worse."

Keita frowned not the least bit impressed, SHe wanted to be able to move her body without it hurting so much but listening to him she doubted it "Why do you care so much for me anyway and what do you mean it'll get worse?" she asked him, she really wanted answers now and wasn't going to back down until she got some from him. "Nick, explain already"

He goes to get the medicine and comes back with two pills and a glass of water. He did not know how to explain himself to her. How do you tell someone that you and them were closer than close? That you were nevertheless one with that person? That the only reason that person was still alive was because of you? It made him look like a stalker. And she already thought he was twisted. He looks at her sadly, "Please Kat don't make me explain things. I did something you made me promise not to do. But you were dying in the labs. I had to do something." Kat was something he always called her.

Keita frowned at him "Nick, tell me the truth already" she growled at him, taking the glass off of him and drank it as she forced herself to sit up. "Why was I dying in the labs? at least tell me that" she sighed "and what did I make you promise not to do?" she asked curiously wanting to know that much at least leaning back against the headboard of the bed. She still didn't remember quiet enough to think back to why she was dying in there let alone any experiments.

He looks at her and says, "Even though you were enhanced by the serum, there was a limit of how much any of us can take. You had been pushed passed yours. Your body was falling apart. So I linked us together. Ever noticed growing up that your scars and wounds are never very bad and you heal in days instead of weeks no matter how bad the wound?" He looks away. "I have been taking everything. Leaving you with a minor version of the wound."

She frowned thinking back, that was true "Then if you unlink us, will I die?" she asked bluntly "and I can imagine why I wouldn't want for you to do that, you were one of the first people I met that wasn't experimenting on me" she said to him more fragments revealing themselves to her. Keita sighed, this was problematic, seems her link with him was one that was hard to break, she sighed and ruffled her hair "but that also explains why I ended up an assassin, I can adapt and thanks to you my injuries were only ever minor, I now wonder who you ever explained that to your parents."

He looks at her and says, "Yes if I undo the link, all the pain you were meant to endure would come back and you would die. And I can't let you die." He sits in a chair. "My parents worried about me but I could not tell them what was going on. They would have made me undo it. So I just told them that I just had a strange disorder. They believed me for the most part." He looks at her. "I never stopped looking for you. So when you showed up I knew I would not get through to you until I pissed you off."

Keita sighed "Great, so I'm linked to you for the rest of my life?" she sighed "I can't wait for this paralysing stuff to wear off, it's annoying being like this" she frowned. "Let me guess another way that this was the only way you could get em to listen as well?" she questioned him "But you have some determination of looking for someone for so long" she sighed.
When she could move a few days later she was rather happy about it and had a warm bath to soothe her aching muscles, memories had returned but still just pieces, she also figured out a few more things about herself. Enjoying her warm bath she gave a sigh of relief "finally, glad to be able to move again."

As the days passed, he gave her the space she wanted. He worked on the car and kept to himself. He was not the type of guy to push himself on a girl. He was upset that she did not feel the same. But he would get over it. They were just kids after all. He was stupid to think if he saved her everything would be okay. Lesson learned.

After her bath she noticed him working on the car, changing she made something quick and headed outside "Eat, you need to have something, you've not had anything all day after all" she sighed holding out a plate of what she remember were a few of his favourite foods. She was still getting to grip with things, it was as if she was learning all over again and wasn't the best at expressing her feelings anyway. "Well you going to take it or shall I eat for you?" she said half joking before putting it down and grabbing his hands making him get on his feet "Geez, sit down and eat already" Once that was done she headed inside and got herself a drink, her mind in turmoil and her cheeks a little red "What on earth is going on with me?" she muttered to herself. Having no idea what was going on with her head at the moment.

(time i head to bed so goodnight)

(night) He looked at the food a moment as she went back to the house. He ate the food slowly as he was lost in thought and went inside to take care of the dishes once he was done. He looks at her, "That was really good thank you." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I hope you are feeling better." He goes back out to working on the car. Things were a little awkward for him now.

Keita nodded "I'm feeling better yes but I can't find any paper" she frowned at him, having a pencil behind her ear. She searched a little more and found some before settling down to draw in silence. She didn't notice his awkwardness until later on at which point she asked him if he was ok. "Why are you acting so… awkward?" she asked softly her attention focusing on her drawing for a brief moment longer before looking up to him, awaiting an answer. When she received one she shook her head "Well you shouldn't feel that awkward from what I remember we were kept together in a cell all those years ago anyway"

He stopped doing what he was doing and looked at her. "You would not get it even if I told you." He was about to go back to what he was doing but then he put his tools down and pinned her to the wall gently. He then looked deep into her eyes and kisses her deeply. He did not care if she hated him for it. But damn it. She was too stubborn.

Keita pushed him away, bright red and embarrassed she soon ducked under his arms and headed to her room, locking the door behind her. She grabbed her things , but stopped a moment touching her lips briefly and then just sat down shaking her head What on earth was that? she thought understanding what he was trying to say now but the shock of it made her panic. Just like before if something was new she tried to get away, this was one of those times. Later on though she did come out but was just as awkward as him, not sure what to say or do now she just got on with making some dinner for them both, handing him his plate and the sitting down to eat.

He watched as she went to her room. Running away like always. He went back outside and just laid down in the grass. At least now she would quit acting like he was an crazy idiot. Now she knew why he cared for her and looked for her all these years. The sun felt good on his skin and he never had to worry about getting burnt. Once it was time for dinner, he came back inside and had dinner with her. Saying thank for his plate of food.

Keita looked to him and nodded "No problem" she said softy shifting in her seat. She quickly finished her dinner before putting her plate in the sink before turning to look at him before asking him something "You kissed me because you…love me right?" she questioned before shifting where she stood waiting for his answer. Hoping she hadn't just made a fool of herself.

He ate his food slowly but stopped when she asked her question. "Yeah I figured that would be obvious by now. But of course you have always been a bit dense." He gave her a smile. "But it is okay if you don't feel the same and if you didn't want the kiss, I am sorry. I just wanted you to know how I have always felt about you." He goes back to eating and got himself a second serving.

She sighed and ruffled her hair a little shifting in her spot once again as she tried to think logically about the whole situation "Well what do you expect, such a thing is completely alien to me" she said to him bluntly. "and you're as greedy as ever" she smirked when he helped himself to a second serving. "Well can you at least give me time to think on it?" she asked.

He chuckled at her comment about him being greedy. "Hey a man has got to eat expecially when the food is this good." He smiles some and eats a bit more before speaking again. "Of course you can have as much time as you need. Although that is not the first time I have kissed you. First time as a grown man but not the first time all together. It helped you calm down when we were younger. And you would deck me every time afterwards."

Raising an eyebrow at what he said "Then why do you keep kissing me and as far as flaming me down goes that is defiantly not the case now" she said to him. "It makes my heart panic" she muttered although couldn't remember kissing him at all apart from earlier that day which confused her even more"and you most likely deserved it if you did such a thing while I was panicking" she stuck her tongue out. She headed back to her room and finished off a sketch thinking carefully, this guy was just strange to her still, yet she was supposed to know him?"

He looks at her and says, "Because you would always come back." That was all he said. He knew she still could not remember. But every memory was etched into his mind and body. He goes back outside and stares at the sky. He remembered that she would be a zombie after each experiment. Trapped in her mind. Her way of dealing with the pain he guessed. But when he kissed her she would come back. He smiled some as he remembered her punch. God it would hurt like hell. But then she would say he deserved it and stick her tongue at him. He would gin like an idiot.

Keita came out once again and found him "What are you doing out here all day anyway, messing with you're toys again?" she looked over his shoulder before turning to him briefly "Well then?" she asked him softly before something else came to mind "How long do you plan on staying here?" she asked "If they find us where will we head to then?" hoping eh wouldn't ask about what she thought of him now… having found her answer she really didn't want to say.

He looks at her with a slight smile. "I heard you the first time Kat." He comes back inside with her and shuts the door once he made sure the lock worked. He had other places they could go but it would be harder for them to get to those places without getting noticed. Plus he was uncomfortable in the city. Too much temptation to let the darker side of him out. The side that people wanted to use as a weapon.

"Well you didn't answer me" she frowned at him before sighing "Just answer me ok?" she said to him "Don't go all dark on me either I remember what you're like when that happens" she sighed ruffling her hair a little, she remembered a little about when he turned 'dark' as she called it.
