Nick looks at her with a sadness that she could not ease even if he expressed all that was in his heart. Nate could see that in his eyes. Nate lets Sora sleep in his chair and then goes to his brother. He does not say a word for he did not need to. Their bond was strong just like the girls bond could not be broken. He says, "My brother...Do not blame yourself. Your weapon was sheathed many times praying that the people would change their ways. They failed to change and met their doomed fate accordingly." Nick shook his head weeping inside. Nate took him in his arms and held him let he had done many times before his body was taken from him. "Do not bare yourself any ill will. You are safe from it."

The two girls let the pair stay close for quite some time before they finally got to texas and soon enough everyone and everything was loaded into the van/ car in which they came here in. Soon enough though they were enjoying the feesh breeze of the welcoming countryside. "Come on you lot, we're almost there" she smiled and looked to them all hoping everyone would be ok.

The boys got the stuff off the plane and the car came to pick them up. The driver says with a smile, "Welcome to Texas everyone. I will be driving you to your new place." Nick read the man just in case and he was clean. A good old fashion country boy. Everyone got in and the driver took them to the old building. Nate and Nick went to inspect the building while all the kids played in the yard. Turns out the building was in pretty good shape. It just needed a light make over to make it look new. Once the driver left, Nick and Nate got to work cleaning the place up.

Sora got up and helped as well as Keita, both girls helping out and then got the kids to help with painting their play room after Sora had drawn eh design on the walls telling them to keep within the lines which they happily enjoyed although why were mostly paint by the time they had finished. "The rooms are a little bigger here as well" said keita when she found Nick and they've finished painting to playroom, although as you can tell we are mostly paint at the moment" she laughed.

Sora smiled and headed upstairs checking out the rooms and began to sort out who got which room, the rome with on suites went to the adults first with any spare ones going to the oldest of the children, although most rooms did have a small on suite which was quite good. "Hmm this place is in quite a good state, how about we let the children paint their own rooms?" she asked.

Nate looks at Sora with a smile. He says, “I planned on the kids painting their rooms. But we have to make sure the younger ones get the first floor set of room.” Nick nods in agreement and says, “Yeah that way they do not have to fight going up and down the stairs every day.” Rose was their prime example of this. She could not get up the stairs very well on her own. So they were going to make it so she and other smaller children did not have to worry about that.

"Hmm ok, well the younger ones have the downstairs ones anyway and most rooms have their own small bathrooms which is good and we can add them to the ones that don't anyway with ease" she said to them both and Keita nodded "Well we can monitor the younger ones in painting as well to ensure that some of them don't eat the paint" she said referring to the very young ones who were still toddlers. "Also we need to ensure everything works, also getting food in, Keita can you do that with me?" she asked giving the boys a chance to be alone and talk. Once both were ready they headed out and found a good place at the edge of the nearest city. flying made the journey a lot quicker that was for sure.

They had already checked to see if everything works. The master bathroom upstairs needed a little work. But it would only take a day to fix. Nate watched the two girls leave before speaking again, “Are you feeling any better Nick?” Nick shakes his head and says, “Not really. You had always handled the killing before. I never had to know about it. It was just done.” Nate stops doing what he is doing and looks at him. “That may be true but it was bound to happen sometime. You made the right choice.” They helped some of the children paint their rooms. Then they used their powers to make it dry faster. They had noticed that they would need to get the kids more toys as well.

Sora and Keita soon returned back with the food and headed to the kitchen smiling happily as they began preparing a meal for everyone. They both kissed their partners on the cheek when they got in and then headed there. Once the meal was done they prepared a bunch of tables and got everyone to sit down and eat before they all got back to work on the painting and decorating. Sora helped Rose with painting her room and got Nate to come in once they'd finished, it had loads of mystical creatures from books on the walls with help from Sora it did look rather good. "Well what do you think?" she asked him and smiled. Keita helped some of the other younger ones helping them draw out what they wanted and then paint the rooms as well.

Everyone ate their meal quietly. Yuki and Matthew were stuck like glue since she put him in his place. Seeing the two of them like that, seemed to cheer Nick up. It reminded him of how he and Kat were like in the beginning. The way it looked to him, Yuki would keep him in line from now on. Nick worked on Matthew’s room with him. Yuki helped too and Matthew seemed to be a calmer and less angry. Nate comes to Rose’s room once they were done and smiles as it was everything Rose liked. “It looks awesome guys!” Rose smiles and says, “It is like I will be sleeping and playing in a mystical fairytale forest! Thank you Mommy!” She hugs Sora’s legs since she was too small to hug her anywhere else. Nate smiles and helps the paint dry faster.

Keita smiled and looked to the pair "They really do look like us don't they?" she asked Nick quietly "and how are you feeling, want me to make your favourite drink for you?" she asked him gently before giving him a gentle kiss. "You know you can always talk to me about anything right?" she questioned.

Sora turned an impressive bright red when she got called 'Mommy' she always blushed when something she liked happened that hadn't happened before and because of that had no idea how to really react. "It's ok, I'm glad you love your new room Rose" she smiled at her. There were fairies, unicorns, tones of different creatures.

Nick looks at her with a smile. “Yeah I am feeling better. And I know. However sometimes it is easier for a man to handle things on his own.” Yuki giggles as she accidently gets paint on Matthew’s nose. He blushes and says softly, “Paint belongs on the walls not on me…” Yuki smiles and dabs his nose. “But it is so cute on you…” He blushes harder and goes back to painting. Nick pats his head and says, “There is nthing wrong with having a little fun while you paint. You don’t have to act like a tough guy all the time.”

Nate looks at Sora with a smile. “Rose you made mommy blush…” Rose smiles and says sweetly, “But I did was say the truth. You and her are my mommy and daddy so it’s only fair that I call you mommy and daddy.” Nate picks her up and kisses her cheek, “Mommy and daddy just need a little time to get used to being called your mommy and daddy that’s all.”

Keita nodded "Listen to him, trust me he tried to act like you when he was younger, but you'll feel a lot better if you drop it every now and then, plus why don't you just put some on her nose back?" she asked him encouraging him to be a little cheeky. She then looked to Nick and smiled "He's defiantly a mini version of you Nick" she laughed.

"Yeah, I'm not used to such things even though i do like it Rose" she kissed her cheek and then Nate's smiling "Plus he's harder to make blush then me so you won't make him turn red" she laughed "Although there are defiantly a few ways which i do need to find out" she grinned mischievously.

Nick laughed as Matthew chased Yuki around trying to dab her with some paint. She giggles and laughs as he manages to her. He sticks his tongue out at her and says, “Got you! And I must say it looks better on you.” It was Yuki’s turn to blush. She says, “Nah I don’t make anything look cute.” Nick smiles and says in a whisper to Kat, “More like a mini us.”

Nate looks at Sora with a devilish smile and says, “Try all you want…but you can’t make me blush by such simple things.” He was going to say more but he felt Rose shaking in his arms. He says, “What’s wrong Rosie?” She looks at him and says fighting tears, “My back…” He tenses up as he feels spikes coming out of her back. He lays her down on her new bed on her stomach. The spikes kept growing out of her back. He held her hand with his left hand and examined the spikes with his right hand. “Armor and a weapon?”

"True" she said and kissed him gently "Definitely, hope they'll stay together to be honest, they need each other, just like we need each other" she smiled and hugged him tightly afterwards. She then got some cloths to wash their faces afterwards "Honestly you two are just so mischievous, the pair of you" she laughed. "Now let's finished up this room and then we can go work on Yuki's room."

Sora smiled "Hmm, wonder if I can find something though" she said smirking and then helped with Rose rather concerned she tapped into her mind for a moment "Seems like it, but it's not begin controlled properly since it's rather powerful for her small body" she frowned "Anything you can do?" she asked

Nicholas helps them get the rest of the room done. Matthew and Yuki tied at the hip once more. Matthew seemed excited to help with Yuki's room more than his own. Probably because then he would be doing something for her. Nicholas thought that it was cute how strong a crush could influence a person's behavior for the better. He says to Kat, "I have a feeling that they will be together for a long time. A boy doesn't do this kind of thing for just any girl."

Nathan looks over Rosie a moment trying to analyze the mutation. He knew he could not do much until the mutation was done. Whatever he tried now would be undone later. "Until the mutation is done for now like ours was when we first found each other again, I can't do anything for her pain wise or anything. All we can do is help her hang in there until it's done. With the constant threat of harm the all of us were facing back in the city, her mutation has gone into overdrive to protect her. But because she was sick for a while, I think the mutation was delayed on its response. Now that she is better it is going to finish the job."

"That's true" she smiled and watched the pair helping to draw out the design Yuki wanted and watched the pair as they painted. "Look like we'll be busy for a bit, w need to move the beds in soon at least" she said to him and stood up "The others have already started since some of the ends were not in the best condition." she sighed and then headed out after they'd finished to help with the beds and made sure everything was in place before she sat down on the couch tired and sleepy again but still and stuff to do before she could go to sleep.

Sora nodded "Well that seems logical" she said to him and held Rose's hand as she stayed beside her while the girl was in pain squeezing her hand gently she asked Nate if her could find that seahorse toy she liked since it'd help her relax a little more. "It'll be ok Rose" she smiled.

Once everything was done, Nicholas got the kids comfortable in their rooms for the night after dinner. Everyone was tired and sore from a day of hard work. He looks at Kat and kisses her forehead. He says, "We have had one heck of a day. Why don't I show you our new room?" He picks her up and carries her to their room upstairs and opens the door. In the room were glow in the dark stars that changed color. He turns on the light and all the walls are painted as an ocean scene. She had told him that she had wanted to go see the ocean. This was his way of bringing the ocean to her. He places her on the soft bed.

Nate got Rose her purple seahorse and stayed by her side as she screamed and kicked her legs in pain. The spikes were continuing to grow. But they did stop after a few hours. Rose got to sleep for an hour before they started up again. The spikes cracked and formed into blades. Rose buried her face in a pillow as her muscles spasm in pain. Nate held her hand and watched as the blades moved when her muscles moved. Once her muscles relaxed, the blades became spikes and went back inside her. At that moment Nate got her some warm milk and a strong pain med. He could tell the mutation was done for now so it was okay for him to make her better.

Keita smiled and looked around moving to sit up on the bed "It's beautiful but when did you get the time to do this anyway and I still have stuff to do" she said to him and stretched out her wings and got up "I have to make dinner still so I need to do before I can come to bed Nick" she said to him and smiled "it really is beautiful" she smiled at him "I forgot just how good at painting you were though, it's almost like I can just walk into the scenery.

Sora stayed there and once Rose had calmed down she was still holding onto her hand while he went and got her some painkillers and warm milk, Once he came back she helped Rose sit up "There we are" she said softly and made sure the purple seahorse was there with her too before tucking her into bed. "Get some rest ok Rose, we'll bring your dinner through once it's ready ok?" she brushed some hair out of Rose's face a smiled.

Nick puts her back to bed and says, "I will just order in hun. Everyone is very tired." He covers her up and kisses her forehead. "I have been a hard worker and but I wanted to give you something that would make you smile. But I had do other things first. So I get a lot of things done before I could do the one thing I really wanted to do." He strokes her cheek and says, "Now you relax. Does pizza sound good?"

Nate looks at her with a smile and helps Rose get comfortable. He says to Rose, "Now you tell daddy when your pain comes back. You will be sore for a while." He knew once the soreness went away, he would have to work with her to use her new ability. He thought it was better for her to train alone with him and Sora until they knew her spikes and blades were not going to come out at random times and hurt people

Keita nodded but frowned when she was put back bed "Ok then" she said and ruffled her wings rolling onto her front and letting him order pizza, the kids near enough gulped it down and then enjoyed a movie later on. Keita smiled "Well guess a treat is nice every once in a while they certainly enjoyed it" she smiled.

Sora went out and brought everyone's food through and smiled "We're having pizza tonight it seems, guess as a celebration of moving" she smiled and helped Rose sit up and gave her some pizza before she began to eat hers beside her. "You can tell mommy as well if the pain comes back ok?" she said to her moving one wing to rest around Rose as if to comfort her. "Don't worry about my wings either, it's mostly fire so any spikes will go straight through Rose" she said, it was true though.

Nick looks at her with a smile and everyone was tucked in after dinner watching movies. Having personal space for kids when they have been stuck together too long. He gets in bed with her, his body feeling stiff. He says to her, "I think the kids liked just having pizza. It was quick and everyone got what they wanted." He lays beside her and looks at her. "I am so tired. I could sleep for a week."

Nate looks at Rose as she eats. She still looked like she was in pain but that was to be expected she has been through a lot. Everyone seem to be winding down for the night. But he knew that he could not go to sleep until he knew that Rose is going to be ok. What could he say to make her feel better? He looks at Sora and says, "I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight..." Nathan was still very tired himself but his concern as Rosie's father began to make it harder for him to think of himself. He was more concerned about his two favorite girls in the world.

Keita smiled "Hmm, I think a lot of us are like that" she said and kissed him goodnight before moving her wings over him "we need to get some sleep for tomorrow so go to sleep mister" she smiled softly and was soon fast asleep beside him enjoying the warmth and company as usual.

Sora looked to him "Nate you need to sleep or you'll be to tired to help when it really matters" she said running a hand through his hair gently and kissed him as well. "We can all sleep in here tonight to ensure it's all ok" said Sora with Rose smiling happily at the thought. "Rose it'll be ok so just relax" she smiled at her softly and then turned to Nate "and don't forget to tell daddy off if he doesn't get some rest ok?" she joked with Rose.

Nicholas lays beside her comfortably and kisses her deeply. He says, "I know that we have a lot to do tomorrow. But I want you to be well taken care of. I don't want you working yourself to death. You deserve to have some fun too." He wanted her to know that she did not have to work all of the time. He would look around town for things for the children to do for fun. After some stress being hunted, they needed a little fun.

Rosie smiled some as they said they would stay in her room tonight. "YAY! SLEEPOVER WITH MOMMY AND DADDY!" Nathan was happy to make her happy. But soon Rosie fell asleep tired from the medication and the soreness. It was too much stress on her body. Nathan covers her up so she was comfortable and then got some stuff so they will be comfortable. He was quick to make the mattress out of blankets.

Keita kissed him back "I'll be fine Nick" she said to him and hugged him tightly before she fell asleep. The next morning it was as lively as ever although she did end up sleeping in. The night before Sora settled down with Nate in their make shift bed after they'd settled down together in Rose's room.

In the morning Sora woke up and got to work on breakfast for everyone telling Nick to let Keita sleep and handed him their breakfast's to go eat their breakfasts in their room. "Nate can you pass me the orange juice please?" she asked as she pulled some glasses from the cupboard.

The morning was hard on the boys. Nate woke up soon after Sora did. He helped with breakfast and got the orange juice. He was moving slow but at least he was awake. He was not a morning person at heart. He liked to be up at night. Nick placed their food next to the bed and let Kat sleep. He went to go check on the children. Mainly Yuki and Matthew. He found both of them in Matthew's room. He let them sleep and went back to his room. He was smiling happily. He says softly, "Young love its sweet..."
