Sora and Keita looked to each other a moment before looking back at their partners, both with bright red cheeks Keita was the first to stand up and hugged Nick tightly. Sora soon followed and kissed Nate gently "We thought everyone had forgotten since we had almost done so ourselves" she said looking to the music box and smiled before looking back ups t his bright red cheeks making her laugh a little "You look so very cute with apple cheeks" she said before sitting down and opened the music box listening to the melody and then pulling him back down for another quick kiss "Thank you Nate, it's lovely"

Keita looked to the locket and smiled happily before lean in up to kiss him "It's beautiful Nick, thank you so much" she smiled at him before opening the locket "Guess I'll need to put some pictures in soon then" she smiled at him happily. Both of them knew the pair had made their gifts themselves which Keita had decided was the main reason for their red cheeks since neither were the type to do such things in front of others.

Nick tensed up when she opened up the lock. Nick starts laughing. He says, "He forgot to put the picture in!" Nick whacks him on the back of his head. He blushes deeper and races back to his room to get the picture he intended to put in it. Nate takes the music box and uses a special key to open a secret compartment. He says, "For all your favorite treasures..." He puts the key on a necklace chain and puts it on her. Nick comes back and puts a picture of Kat and him together inside it. He says, "Sorry I got so nervous about it that I forgot to put the picture in it. You can put up to 12 pictures in it."

Keita was a little surprised by his reaction and kissed him when he came back "Geez no need to panic Nick" she smiled "It's really beautiful though thanks" she said to him softly and got him to help with putting it on as well. "Well I need to make loads of memories to fit twelve pictures in there don't I?"

Sora raised an eyebrow "There are a few treasures I don't think I could fit in the draw though" she frowned joking a little although it was true since she couldn't fit him or Rose in the draw at all. She fiddled with the key a moment thinking "Well I might be able to if I shrink them though" she laughed and kissed him softly again. "But I think it's more entertaining to see you bright red"

Nick looks at her blushing like an idiot. He says, "Well it's not often I have been able to get you a gift and I was afraid that you wouldn't like it because it is not as fancy as the music box. But I thought something like a locket would be close to your heart." He was clearly still embarrassed.

Nate smiles and kisses her softly. He says, "I meant treasures like jewelry or charms that holds sentiment value to you. Like the dolphin charm I got you when you were three. You would not go anywhere without it." He kisses her cheek. "I would have made it bigger but then it would not be mobile."

"Well, a locket is something I prefer and a music box is something my sister prefers" she said "So you did a pretty good job" she smiled clearly very happy "Although you are rather cute blushing like that" she giggled and hugged him tightly again her wings moving around him as well.

Sora smiled and nodded "Yeah I remember, how could I forget, that was the first year we were put together too so it was my first present from you as well" she said and moved her hand in her pocket before pulling it out "I still don't go anywhere without" turning a little red herself this time. "and that is a good point" she frowned thinking as she leaned against him.

Nick smiles and holds her close to him. "I just wasn't sure if it would show you how much I love you. You know how hard it is for me to express my feelings. So I do it by making you things that express what I can't." He was being as honest as he could be. He was not super affectionate. And when he tried to be he would freeze up.

Nathan smiles some and kisses her. "You have kept it all these years..." He looks at it. "It also was the first day of the more painful experiments started. I wanted you to have a good memory to help you get through the bad stuff."

Keita smiled and hugged him back still "I know that, but ti just makes yo very cute when you do express such things, even though you freeze up most of the time" she said and stayed there holding him in her arms and wings rather happily. "Thanks for remembering as well, Sora's right, we almost forgot ourselves" she laughed "Anyway, we should head to our room for a bit soon, it's warmer under the blankets"

Sora kissed him back and nodded "Of course I kept it, why wouldn't I, it's an important treasure which reminds me I always wondered where you got it from?" she asked curiously before smiling "I know that and it certainly helped as well, they couldn't get it off me either when they tried" she laughed and hugged him moving her wings around him as well.

Nick blushed deeper as she thought he was cute because of it. He was still getting used to the fact that they were a couple. But he did not think it was strange that he and his brother remember their birthday better than they did. They constantly reminded themselves of important matters like that. "Come on let's get warmed up." He picked her up gently and carried her off to bed. She didn't need to remind him how much this bothered her. But he could not help but like carrying her around just like his brother did enjoy carrying Sora around.

Nathan looks at the dolphin charm with a smile. When he had first made it for her it used to shine like the stars. No it was not much but an old brown dolphin that used to be gold. The once purple eye must have fallen out and was just a black hole. He reaches out his hand and with a soft glow of red, a new dolphin charm appeared. He says, "It is the only ability that my brother and I share. We can make things out of thin air as long as we are not too tired. But it does come with some risks. Headaches. Nosebleeds and so forth. Minor things like that. But the more we use it the better we get at it."

Keita looked to him and shook her head "Honestly you like picking me up way too much sometimes" she laughed and hugged him as well as kissing him as well. "My sweet man" she said softly. Like Sora she liked to make him blush although he was far easier to get to blush than his brother. When they got to be she pulled him i with her and snuggled into him since it was cold, her wing moving over him before she thought of something "Tomorrow can you show me how you make the incense?" she asked him.

Sora looked to the new charm and smiled "It's a very interesting ability that's for sure" she looked to the charm and thought a moment "I'm still going to keep the old one even though it looks nothing like it used to after all it holds some precious memories, the good ones I had that day" she said and hugged him lovingly and didn't let go. "Shall we head to bed as well?" she asked him.

Nick smiles at her and says, "You know I like to carry you. So why bother fighting it? And I will show you how to make the incense tomorrow. As long as the kids are doing good." He kissed her cheek and put her to bed once they got their room. Today was a stressful day for everyone. But it was pretty bad if someone was able to forget their own birthday. He would have to do better at keeping her stress level down.

Nathan smiled at the idea of going to bed. He picked her up gently and carries her off to bed. He places her on their bed once they get to their room. But he has her lay on her stomach so he can give her a back rub. He figured it was the least he could do for her. Today has been a lot on her. So he thought he would help her relax.

"I know you do" she smiled and snuggled into him before drifting off to sleep for quite some time, or rather until morning staying close to his warm body. Sora looked to him over her shoulder letting her wings relax as he gave her a back rub and smiled "Thanks again Nate" she smiled at him enjoying the back rub although it did make her shiver a little due to the sensitive skin around the wings.

The Next Morning…
Sora had drifted off mdi way through an waking up she nudged Nate before getting up and going downstairs to start making people breakfast, not quite knowing why she was up so early. Keita was also up and the pair were soon working together on getting everyone's breakfast ready although both paused and looked to the door "Something's not right" muttered Keita and Sora walked over one of her hidden lades revealing themselves as she looked through the key hole and frowned "Keita get everyone out, take them to the safe area got it and wake the boys up" she said Keita nodded and soon everyone was up and awake, they began moving the kids somewhere safer and Sora watched the movements carefully. "We might need to quicken our move" she said.

Nick and Nate look at the girls a moment feeling what they were feeling. Things are about to get crazy. They needed to get on the move now. Nick says quietly, "We've got some trouble on our hands." He got outside and got everyone loaded into the large car that he bought to transport everyone to the airport. Nathan did everything he could keep the car and everyone in it protected with a barrier. And he was right to do so. The creatures that they had fought before were back in large numbers. The kids were crying and screaming telling them not to send them back to the lab. That they would be good.

Keita and Sora made their way up to the roof and distracted the monsters both yelling at the tops of their voices before attacking some of them, Sora had an easier time with the fire burning the monsters to ashes quickly enough if she hit the right point on their bodies. "Nick help Sora, Nate keep an eye on the kids" she shouted and then ducked another attack. "Looks like us four will have to make our own way in the end" muttered Keita and sighed before both the girl using burning steam to destroy some of the monsters.

Sora looked to Nate and noticed one of the monsters getting to close and looked at it before it ignited within seconds. "Hmm, that's new" she thought and looked to Keita a moment before getting caught of guard and receiving a rather nasty hit making erg groan. "That hurt" Keita went over and looked to the wound "I'll live, we've had worse" she sighed. The fight was over but the house was a wreck as was the outside.

Keita shook her head "Nate you treat Sora, Nick we should grab the things we need for the move and get to the place as soon as possible ok?" she said Sora was about to say something before Keita frowned making her go silent. "Fine, but seriously I'm fine it's just a scratch Keita"

Nate was going to help the girl while Nick drove away but it ended as quickly as it begun. He quickly went to Sora seeing as she was hurt. He places his crystal like hand over the wound and for a moment nothing happens. But then a tingling sensation goes through his hand and then energy pours into the wound. Within seconds the wound is healed. Nate lets go of her and flexes his hand some. “Well good to know my alien arm is good for something.” Nick helps Kat the best he can while keeping the children calm. The lab people were getting desperate to be pulling a stun like this in broad daylight.

"Nate we need to ensure those kids stay safe" she said as she got up and kissed him quickly "Let's go they'll send some after the kids no doubt, you two ok to hold it down here?" Keita nodded and Sora took off hoping Nate would follow behind as she kept to a good height so that she wouldn't be noticed but could still keep and eye on the kids.

Keita looked to Nick and thought "Any chance your able to block off the areas around them so they're in a separate area from others?" she asked "Because I've got an idea, I don't think those things can swim" she grinned at him before awaiting his answer.

Nate follows after her offering the best he can. These creatures were going to keep coming. They were after the kids it wasn't hard to figure that out. But he wasn't going to let them get anywhere near the kids. He watched closely as the creatures seem to be pouring out of one building in the city. He tenses up as the smell of the creatures was like rotting flesh. "What can we do? They have a whole army of them. If we don't kill them at their source more will just keep coming after us and the kids."

Nick thought she had a very good point. They did seem to avoid water at all costs. He did the best he could to do as she asked him to. Separating them the best he could without endangering the kids. He really couldn't wait to get to Texas. Where everyone would be safe.

[Rose for the Hunter]

"We need to ensure the kids are safe first, then we can go after the source ok?" she said to him and put up a huge wall of fire burning a lot of the monsters then and there. "If I start to fall you better catch me" she said to Nate, she knew he would so was only joking with him really.

Keita smiled and began o fill the area with water after ensuring that Nick was safe and then watched as the monsters in there drowned before noticing the scientists "Nick catch them" she said to him and concentrated on ensuring the monsters were definitely not going to move again.

(Brain Fail)

Nate looks at her with a smile. "Of course I will catch you if you fall. I always have." He helped to keep her balance as she let out fire balls at the monsters. He wasn't going to let her fall no matter what.

Nick went after the scientists. He could see that one looked almost exactly like Alexis. Eric's girlfriend. He thought that was strange. Then he got an idea. He focuses his energy until it is about to burst out of him. Then he lets it go but forms it into a cage.

Sora looked to him a moment, her power did still exhaust her but not as much as they used to at least. She was grateful for him helping her but eventually after she was sure there were no more tailing the kids, she did fall from where she had been hovering up in the sky Time to catch me Nate she said to him unable to hold on much longer. They were almost at the airport by this point and soon enough the kids were being put onto the plane.

Keita watched and smiled "Nice one there Nick" she said and looked to one of them blinking Is that Alexis? she questioned looking to Nick confused and awaited a response before she finally spoke "Names please" she grinned sweetly.

Nate caught her quickly and carried her on to the plane. They could not leave without Nick and Kat. He got the kids all buckled up and ready to go. But he's staying close to Sora just in case something went wrong. Whatever was keeping the other two he hoped it would pass quickly.

The woman who looked like Alexis laughed at them and waited for them to be set free. She says to them, "I'm Alexandra. Alexis's twin sister. How long are you freaks going to keep running? You are just lab rats running loose. You won't be free for long. All you will ever know is pain and agony."

Keita looked to her and a growl came from her throat. "Well that's too bad because you're lying" she said "We already knew such thinks as happiness even when we were there because we had someone there" she frowned at her. She was in a bad mood now "Can we get rid of them already?" she asked Nick and looked to him clearly annoyed with what had been said and also knew they had to get to the airport quickly before the others could leave. "Also we'll be free for the rest of our lives i'll have you know, because we've evolved if you haven't noticed, my sister isn't here but let me warn you, come after us and you'll only get burnt"

Nick looks at Kat and then looks at the two in the cage. He says, "Sorry but this is the end for you." He grabbed Kat and starts walking away. As they walk away, the cage falls apart turning into spears...spearing the scientists to death. Nick carries Kat to the plane and helps her get comfortable. Nate tells the pilot to take off and then he sits down next to Sora. Nick does not say a word. He did not like to kill but he knew he had to. But he still hated himself for it.

Keita looked to him and kissed him "Nick… we don't have a choice in such things, they'd run back and tell them we'd left, they might've even tried to follow us" she said to him knowing he really hated himself for it and once in the plane she held his hand and squeezed it before resting her head on his shoulder and then kissing his neck softly. "I know you don't like to do such things but… unfortunately it is something that needs to be done" she tried to comfort him as best she could.

Sora eventually woke up and blinked looking around before she found Nate and kissed his cheek "We there yet?" she asked him still a little dazed "and how long has it been since I fell?" she asked him as well as thanking him for helping her as well before looking back to her sister and Nick for a moment.

Nick holds her and says, "Just because it had to be done, does not make it any easier to bare. You of all people should understand that." He was cold at heart right now. Killing always tore him apart inside. Never giving him peace. He looks at the children a moment. He wanted to be happy that they were free. But he could not.

Nate looks at Sora and says, "We are not there yet. We are about three hours from there. You have been out for about an hour." He kisses her forehead. He wrapped her in a blanket and stroked her cheek. "Rest and recover for right now." He held her in his arms and watched as Rose slept in her chair as though she could feel how tired her mother was.

Keita moved and hugged him "I know" she said and kissed his head "Well how about this we'll get to our new home and sort things out ok?" she ruffled her hair and wings before moving her wings around him gently not sure what else to say. "I hate to say this but another thing I learnt in my life is that sometimes… it's kill or be killed" she said hesitantly. "Also when we get there we can talk about it together ok? It's best to get such things off your chest regardless of if they make it better or not" she said softly.

Sora looked up to him and nodded "Your brother is quite distressed at the moment, he had to kill two scientists that were there" she whispered softly to Nate. "I think you should talk to him when you two get some time alone" she said quietly before drifting off again and then waking up a few hours later.
