Relived that he was not going to leave her right away and that he was going to still feed Brook closed her eyes and relaxed in his arms. She licked her lips and then opened her eyes so that she could look into his eyes as he looked into hers. She stared into his eyes with complet trust and love. She was completly happy with him.

When he brought up her father she giggled. "Hmmm are you frightened of my father?" She kissed his lips softly, undemanding just wanted to try and help him relax.

Drake chuckles and says, "Me afraid of a human, impossible." He kisses her back and strokes her back softly as he held her in his arms. His body needed blood but his need to be by his mate was stronger. He listens to her heart rate beating inside her chest. He smiles and kisses her once more. He then slowly begins to relax a bit.

Brook's eye flashed with amusment. "Yes but that human just happens to be the girl that you love father" She shook her head. "Vampire or not I think all boys are afrad of a girls father" She teased him slightly then held him close. The fact that he was cold didnt bother her. She licked her lips again and held him as he started to relax.

"My love" She said sofltly she knew for this lie to work she would have to think it as long as act it "I am feeling a bit tired, if you need to hunt its alright" She rubbed her eyes as it to prove the point. "Is it night time or day time though?" She shook her head "I know you cant be outside during the day time so if you are feeding it must be night time" She lightly kissed his lips "Go my love I will see you soon I know"

She didnt want to let him know she she attempted to put up blocks in her mind, she was really wanting to go painting again, near the cliff.

Drake tenses up as he could tell she was lying to him to his face. He sits up and says, "I fed before I came back you so I am not hungry enough to hunt. If you want me to leave, then just say so. Don't sit here and lie to my face." He gets off the bed and goes to the window. He says, "I lovev you. Let me know when you want to see me again." With that he disappears.

As soon as she felt him tense she knew that her plan had worked, but not in the way that she wanted. She went to call out to him before he left but he didnt give her a chance, he was gone before she could even blink. She sighed and shook his head, sure she had lied but so had he. Just moments before he had promised that she could never make him angry. She shook her head again and sighed, geting off the bed she dressed in jeans and a tank top then a light sweater so no one would see her scars, then gathered her painting stuff. Down stairs she grabbed a small snack and a drink.

She left a note for her father and went to the cliff and laid out her painting stuff. She knew Drake would be able to read her thoughts, that she was sorry that she hadnt told him, but that she had only been worried about him, and would have come to paint when he couldnt be with her. She shrugged and started painting, she was lost in her own world which happened when she painted, she got lost in her work and blocked out the world.

Drake didn't go back to Brook's side for a week. He was busy dealing with the elders and his father's sentence of death. Even though he was used and hurt by his father, he couldn't stop seeing him as his father. He walks in the woods lost in his own thoughts and emotions. He decided not to tell her about what was going on.

Brook was disapointed she was thinking that Drake would have gone to her at the cliff, if not to see her at least in fear that she was going to try the cliff jumping. But he didnt, and he didnt for the week that she kept going back. Her teachers deciding that school wasnt for her agreed to let her work at him, so she worked hard at home and was zipping through her classes, she spent a lot of time with her father too. She knew she was going to miss him, and she hoped that he would understand, but the more time Drake spent away the more Brook began to think that he wasnt coming back.

Late one night she was on her porch, she had decided that if he hadnt shown up by the next evening, the morning after that she would try the cliff jumping to see what it felt like to have a rush, before she was turned. She sat on her balcony on a chair with a blanket and her cat staring off into space. She was peting her cat and sighed. "I really did it this time" She whispered and picked up her cat and got into bed her cat sensing her pain and the fact that she was upset snuggled up next to her.

Broke feel into a nightmarei filled sleep but couldnt wake from it.

Drake went to her room sensing that she was in distress. He says in her ear, "Baby you need to wake up." He lays on her bed and holds her trying to wake her up. When she was not waking up, he nips at her neck on a pressure point that he knew would cause her great pleasure. He also knew it was instinct to wake up under such pleasure no matter what they are dreaming.

This nightmare was different then all the other ones, in this one Drake had left her and she had gone into the woods and something was chasing her. She was running as fast as she could but felt as if she was geting no where. She was running and tripping over tree roots. She was trying to call out for Drake but her voice wouldnt work.

When she felt the nibble her eyes flew open and she was panting and her eyes were wide with fear. When she noticed Drake there she took a few moments to figure out where she was then her eyes fell on Drake she licked her lips and stroked his cheek "You came back" It was as much as a question and a statement.

She then showed him her dream. "No more secrets" She said softly.

Drake kisses her hand and says, "Of course I came back my love." He views her dream through her mind and sighs sadly. "Brook I have been going through a lot this past week. But I would never stay gone for good. You know that we can't exist without each other." He kisses her tenderly and brings her into his arms. He says, "I am here now my love."

Hearing that he had been through a lot she sat up quickly and gently stroked his cheek "What is going on my love" She was very concered and it showed in her eyes, and voice. She smiled when he said that they couldnt exsist without each other. She knew it to be true, it was odd though but it was true.

She relaxed in his arms. "I am here for you just like you are here for me my love"

Drake sighs and says, "My dad was put to death on monday. Then the elders put me in charge of my family which I am under enough pressure as it is. They also told me that if I turn you, we must leave this small town for a few hundred years and leave any loose ends." His eyes looked stressed as he looked at her. He strokes her cheek gently.

Her heart broke for Drake she slowly rubbed his arms. "My love I am so sorry" She shook her head upset with herself, she should have known that he had not stayed away from her by choice that there had to be a reason that he left her. She licked her lips, as she normally did when she was nervous.

She looked into his eyes silently asking for his forgivness for lying to him. She had made beautiful paintings of him but she no longer wished to show him. She shook her head as he talked about the more pressure. She then froze as he spoke of turning her. Her jaw tensed slightly but she nodded. "My love, what if one of your friends turn you?" She looked up at him trying to ease his pain.

"I know that you wanted to be the one, and I trust you" She looked into his eyes "I just dont want you to have more pressure" She kissed him gently. "I know we have been through this and last time I talked about it I know it upset you but I just want you to have the option"

Drake kisses her nose softly and says, "There is nothing to for give my darling." He steals a kiss from her lips. He makes a groan sound and says, "No the only one who could possible handle a direct taste of your blood is me." He looks in her eyes and asks calmly, "Now why don't you want to show me your recent paintings?"

Although he had said that there was nothing to forgive she still felt guilty for not being there for him this pass week. She was about to say so when he stole the kiss she grinned and kissed him back. She sighed and nuzzled into his neck when he said that he was the only one that would be able to taste her blood. She nodded and whispered. "I love you"

She then blushed a deep red when he mentioned the paintings. She shrugged "I dont know" She waved over to the corner, "They are over there" One was of the setting sun from the cliff but aross the water there was a dark creture, "I dont know what that was" She shurgged, "Maybe just a shadow"

Anotherpaiting was a close up of Drake's face. The others were just scenery, and things that she had seen, all either had Drake or the strange dark figure in them.

Drake looks at the paintings a few seconds before turning back to her. He says, "I love you too. I must say your art is beautiful." He strokes her cheek says, "I am sorry that I left. I was not mad at you, I was just surprised that you would try to lie to me. It kind of hurt you know." He kisses her cheek.

Brook blushed again as he paid her the compliement about her paintings. She shrugged. "It was my therapy in the hospital" She leaned into his touch and closed her eyes she whimpered as he spoke. She looked up at him and shook her head. "I am sorry my love, I just didnt want to hurt you, and I really thought that it would be better" She kissed his cheek. "I love cuddling with you, but I do know that soon I will not be able to go into the sun"

She quickly looked at him. "Not that I am regreeting my choice, I just want to feel the sun on my skin" She looked into his eyes. "I love you"

Drake looks in her eyes and says, "You will be able to go in sun just in front of humans. I read that special rings hide our sparkle effect in the sun. If it is true and we have rings made, then we would not have to hide as much." He smiles some as she cuddles into him more. She was his world now and he wanted to make her happy.

Hearing that she will still go out in the sun made her really happy. She giggled and kissed him passionatly on the lips. "That makes me really happy" She looked in his eyes "But not as happy as it makes me that I get to spend all eternity with you"

She felt completly safe in his arms. She sighed and looked up at him. "My love you have made me really happy, how can I make you happy?"

Drake smiles at the sound of her giggle. He says kissing her back, "Relax my love. I still have make sure friend of mine will make them for us." He kisses her deeply and wraps her up in a blanket. He says, "Let me make you dinner tonight to make up for being away all week." He kisses her neck waiting for her answer.

Brook nodded. "My love I know that even if you can not get the rings, I will feel the sun again" She smiled "Even if it just feels more different" She nodded and then allowed herself to be wrapped in the blankets. She smiled up at him. "Hmm dinner does sound lovely, what does my man want to make me?" She asked softly. "And am I to stay in bed and wait for you" She added with a wink. She looked into his eyes, if she had a small nap now, she would be able to stay up with him until he had to leave, but the choice was his.

Drake says, "I am going to make you a surprise. But it will take me a while to make. So you need some rest, go ahead and rest." He kisses her before getting out of bed and going down to the kitchen. For several hours he works over a hot stove making homemade pasta in a heart shape for her. He smiles as he looks over his edible masterpiece.

Raising a brow at the mention of a surprise Brook grinned. "Ahh alright my love" She snuggled into the blankets as he told her to rest. She knew that he knew her too well, she had not slept well the week that he had left, she was closer to graduation, but she hadnt slept. She smiled as he kissed her and watched as he left.

Her cat snuggled into her arms and promptly fell asleep. Her mind and body seemed to sense Drake nearby and therefore the bad dreams did not touch her. She slept heavily and soundly.

Her cat smelling the food woke up checked on Brook then walked downstairs to Drake and sat there watching him, seemily begging for a tate of the food. He licked his lips and stared at Drake,.

Drake looks down at Comet with a smile and says, "I made you a treat too." He gives the cat its own special pasta. He then goes up quietly to Brook's room and places candles all over. He then brings the food up. His mind drifts some as he lights candles the best he can without waking her up. He then places rose pedals in her bed.

Comet purred in response rubbed up against Drake's leg and started eating his food. Meanwhile upstairs Brook was still having plesent dreams, Drake and her in Scotland, she had always wanted to visit Scotland, she sighed contently in her sleep and curled into a ball but continued sleeping.

Her body seemed to be at ease with him around and since she had not slept much the week that he was gone, her body seemed to be taking it all in now. She could sense him closer but still didnt wake, but she smiled in her sleep. Her hands were tucked under her chin as she layed on herside she looked like an angel.

She sighed again in her sleep smelling roses but she was too content to leave her bliss and only his touch would make her rise now.
