Brook looked up at him. "Drake I am willing to do anything for you including leaving so you dont have to have the pain of changing me" She licked her lips knowing full well that even if she left it would hurt him, but just in a different way. She was going to hurt him no matter what she did. She sighed not knowing what to do.

She nodded as he mentioned her blood sugar, after a scare like what she had just been through it would make sense. She took the bowl of peaches and ate them slowly. She began to feel a bit better. "Thank you my love" She smiled at him and sighed,. "You know me too well" She sighed "So am I going to be attacked like that again?" She asked a bit worried.

Drake shakes his head. He says, “Jewel just wanted to make sure we were not trying anything that’s all. She won’t bother us again.” He watches her making sure she was going to eat the peaches. He says, “You leaving me would kill us both and you know it.” He kisses her head gently and says, “Once your sugar is back up, you will feel better.”

Feeling more relaxed that Jewel wouldnt be bothering them Brook finished the peaches and sighed contentley. "I feel better already, especially with you near" She licked her lips again and then suddered as he told her what she already knew. She knew that them being apart would be death to both of them.

"i know my love, I am just saying that I am willing" She chewed her bottom lip and looked up at him. "My love you have been here for hours surely you are thristy" She asked softly. If he did leave she would just sleep. She was feeling better with the peaches but still feeling very tired.

Drake sees her getting tired and says, “Hun I will go feed. You need to sleep so you just rest.” He picks her up and puts her in bed gently so she could rest. He says, “I want you to relax and enjoy some sleep.” He puts her phone on her night stand. He says, “Call me when you want me to come back over or if you need something.” He kisses her before going into the woods to hunt.

Brook was about to fight him on that. But he was right she had been through a bit of an ordeal and she knew that he would be thristy. She sighe as she laid on the bed and snuggled into the blankets. She fingered the necklace that he had gotten her. Just before her last thought was hope that he would take her back to the garden soon. She missed the peacefulness of it.

She closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep. She slept peacefully. When she awoke it was midafternoon she had a shower, and afer making sure she had the cream on she got dressed. She picked up her paint easels and made it too the cliffs. She had a feeling that Drake would be hidding from the sun, but she sent him a text message letting him know where she was.

Drake received the text message with a smile. His eyes were blood red from his feeding. It would not be good if he went to see her right now. Angie looks at him and says, “You know we don’t mean to make her think that we hate her.” He says, “I know but you guys have not exactly welcomed her either.” He sighs looking at the sky sadly wishing he could be out in the sun.

Although Drake did not respond to her text message Brook was not upset she figured he was just feeding, or better he was with his friends. She still had a feeling that they were not really open to her. She knew that they were jelous that she had a choice, and she was sure that they thought she was making the wrong one.

She was enjoying the painting. This time it was a painting of Drake, in his garden, it should have been harder to do the painting by simple memory but it wasnt. Drake was sitting on a rock staring at her, the flowers and trees all around him, the sun glistening off his body, in a way that if the average person saw it they would think it was just water dropplets but she knew better.

When the painting was done she stepped closer to the edge. Her mind briefly thinking of climbing down a bit lower and going swimming. She looked around seeing if there was anything around her, she was getting a feeling as if she was being watched again.

Drake was watching her from the shadows of the trees. He says, “Do you want me to take you closer to the water so you can paint it?” His eyes were starting to go back to normal so he wanted to be near her. He did not see what she had just finished painting but he was very curious about it. He stays in the shadows waiting for her answer.

At the sound of his voice Brook jumped and brought a hand to her throat. "Drake you scared me" She scolded. But she had to smile "You know as well as I do that I was not planning on painting the waters" She shrugged. "For a fleeting moment I was going to jump" She licked her lips "I ONLY" She made last word stronger.

"Told you because I know you can read my mind" She looked into the darkness but didnt move. "Drake is something wrong why wont you come any closer?"

Drake winces as she told him she was thinking about jumping…again. He says, “I know you want to know what kind of rush it but I told you, you should not jump alone. You might accidentally hit your head on a rock or something.” His red eyes go back to gold and he slowly comes out of the shadows and to her side.

Since she could not see his wince Brook smiled at his comment. "Well I am hardly alone now am I" She teased then peered over the edge of the cliff and suddenly felt as if she was being thrown back. It wasnt far or forceful but she looked up at Drake as he came out of the shadows she turned to him and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.

"How are you feeling my love?"

Drake smiles as she wraps her arms around him and kisses her cheek. He says, “I feel full now but I am sorry I did not text you back. I was trying to catch a bear when I got your text.” He looks at her newest painting with a smile. He says, “I take it you want to go back to my garden?”

Gasping as he mentioned the bear. She looked at him. "Hmm I guess I should have just thought it" She chuckled. "Well least it wasnt too bad of a distraction." She snuggled into his arms and then blushed as he looked at herpainting.

"Its not good" She shrugged not liking anything she did, In her mind she had gotten his face and espcially his eyes all wrong. She licked her lips and nodded. "Yes I would love to go back to your garden" She smiled. "As long as you dont have other things to do" She would just have to call her fatherand let him know.

She was somewhat thankful he seemed to have forgotten abut her birthday, she couldnt even remember when it was anymore, it seemed so had lost track of the days, she didnt mind though. She was just happy with Drake.

Drake smiles some and says, “I think it looks great.” He looks down at her and kisses forehead gently knowing she doubted her skills. He says, “Don’t be mad at me okay? I have to go to Spain for a week or so. Apparently my father owes the coven there more than money. So I got to somehow appease them before we have a fight on our hands.” (I got an idea)

Blushing as he complimated her painting she sighed. "If you want it you can have it let me just sign it, who knows maybe it will be worth money one day" She giggled. She began to feel uneasy when he kissed her forhead she had a feeling something was happening or going to happen and it was not going to be good.

When he let her know she swallowed hard and tried to hide her worry. "Alright" She knew her going with him was out of the question. She looked up at him. "I know this sounds silly but before you leave can I have a key for the garden, so I can feel close to you when you are gone" She lightly kissed his lips. "Something tells me this might end badly"

Drake kisses her back and says, “Everything is going to be alright.” He gives her a key to his garden with a smile. he had a copy of his key made the week they had not seen each other. He says, “I will try my best to contact you every day. I have to leave in a half hour and I don’t know how long I will be gone. If you need anything while I am gone, Angie will help you.”

Brook wanted to belive his words so much. She still had her bad feelings though. She smiled as he gave her the key. "Thank you" She whispered then she snuggled into his strong chest. "I want you to be safe, only contact me if it is safe for you"

She nodded as he gave his time line, "Only half an hour?" She gasped but nodded. "Alright my love" She kissed him again. "Does Angie know that you are dumping me on her?" She wondered outloud.

Drake nods and says, “Of course she knows. She is the one who offered to help you my love.” He kisses her gently and picks her up in his arms. He says, “I am going to miss holding you and kissing my love.” He kisses her lips and her neck playfully savoring the taste of her warm soft skin. He was going to be lonely without her for sure.

Brook couldnt hide her surprise from him as he stated that Angie had offered "It would be good to get to know your friends, since I will be joinging them soon" She looked into his eyes as she kissed him back.

"I am going to miss you too" She held onto him tightly as if she was frightened of letting go of him. She giggled as he kissed her neck. "My love how can you handle being so close to me?" She shook her head "Not that I dont like it, I love it I just dont want you to over tempt yourself"

Drake looks at her and says, “I don’t know how I handle being so close to you. I just know that I don’t know how I am going to be without you.” He looks in her eyes and says, “My friends may be hard to understand at times, but they are trying to make you feel welcome to our family. The boys are not use to talking to humans anymore. So their words come cross to people as cold.”

"Do you have to go alone?" She asked already fearing the answer. She swallowd. "I dont know what I am going to do without you either, I love you" She said softly as she kissed the side of his neck. As he spoke about his friends she looked up at him. "So they don't hate me, I just thought that because I am human they saw me as some kind of parasite" She had visably relaxed in his arms as he went on.

"Well as long as they dont hate me" She grinned. "I still think its kinda stupid of me, I was more afraid of them hating me then them killing me" She chuckled soflty and then claimed his lips for a kiss. "So you will be gone a weeK?"

Drake kisses her gently and says, "I will be gone at least a week." He listens to her heart a minute. He says in a whimper, "You are a strong woman my love. You will do fine with my friends. The fire in your soul can survive any fight that comes your way." He kisses her on the neck as though to calm her worries over him.

Brook couldnt help but feel a bit paniced when he let her know in a round about way that he might be longer then a week. She would have told him so but his next words stopped her. She looked up at him. "I have a fire in my soul?" She asked confused. Then she smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I do love you so" She then smiled and tried to put on a brave face. "Plus this will give me a chance to get close to your friends" She then winked "Its only for a week what is the worse that could happen, its a small town right?"

Drake kisses her softly and strokes her cheek. He says, “I am sure you might just find something to be the base of your bond to my friends.” He groans softly as he phone alarm went off. He says kissing her deeply, “I got to go my love. I will see you soon.” He then goes off again to head to the airport. He did not feel like driving most of the way there.

In the woods, a pair of red eyes watches Brook closely without letting her know. A blue haired girl says to herself, “So this is the soul mate of the man I desire.” She growls very softly. She says fighting her urge to kill Brook right then and there, “I am going to have fun ripping her apart piece by piece.” She smiles and disappears so she does not get caught.

Brook was like putty in his arms. She kissed him back and whimpered as he stroked her cheek. She licked her lips and nodded when he spoke of fining a way to bond with his firends. "I shall my love" She was not looking forward to being apart from him for any period of time but she also knew that it was going to be hard on him and he was not leaving by his choice.

Although she could have stayed like that all night she pulled away when the phone buzzed, knowing that this was most likely it. She frowned when he finally said that he had to go. She watched him go with biting her lips to stop the tears and finally she knew she had to get home. She sighed and gathered up her painting supplies. Stopping suddently she turned and liooked into the forest, she felt as if someone was watching her,

"Stop it Brook you are just being paranoid" She muttered to herself and got all her stuff and started walking home. Making it there she took her stuff to her room. She made it back down stairs and made her father dinner. She was clearly upset and her father noticed.

"Drake had to go away for a bit" She explained while she sat down and ate, she did wonder why Angie wanted to spend this week, and how much Drake would mind if she went back to school while he was gone.
