Brooke smiled still a little sleepy "I know you arnt going anywhere I just might need to be reminded again" She sighed and licked her lips. She watched him look at her belly and when he dropped the bomb she gasped and shook her head. "No you said that you...and I coulndt" She tired to get out of bed but was trangled in the blankets struggling to get out she shook her head again and rubbed her stomach.

"How?" She whispered. Fearful of what they would be, if they would live. "The elders!" She said sharply. "What are they going to say?"

Drake wrapped his arms around her tightly to keep her from moving but not tight enough to hurt her. "You need to calm down. It is rare but it happens and the elders know that. Usually only a pure blood vampire like my father can have children and choose the race of the offspring. When a turned vampire manages to have a child, the baby turns out to be half human half vampire. They have all the positive sides of being a vampire without such a strong thirst for blood. During the progress of the pregnancy, the human mother is slowly turned into a vampire by the baby so the mother deos not die during the delivery of the baby. This means that I cannot turn you myself without hurting the babies."

Feeling Drake's arms around her she began to cry. Her body shaking slightly. as she wept. She was going to be a mom, if she lived. But Drake wouldnt let her die but she also felt protective of the babies she found it strange she just found outthat she was pregant and she already felt protective.

She held a hand to her stomach and listeend to him. "I will be turned?" She said slightly it was too much to take in at once she was feeling dizzy. "Will it be like normal pregancy?" She asked softly.

Drake looks at her as she took all this in. "Come on my love don't start crying." He looks at her body all ready sensing her body starting to change. "No mother of halfling has died giving birth because of the babys' instincts to protect themselves and their mother. So you don't have to worry about dying. You will become a vampire like me and my family." He looks at her belly again and says, "I think the first few weeks are normal and then the rest of it happens fast. As soon as they are born, they should age like normal babies until their late teens." He strokes her cheek and says, "we can do this Brook..." He wipes the tears away with his fingers.

Trying to calm herself down she sniffled and looked up at him hearing that no halfing died giving birth she nodded. "You promise?" She asked softly. She liked the sounds of becoming a vampire, and the fact that Drake wouldnt have to do it himself it would be easier on him. She sighed leaning into him trying to stop the tears. "Did you say twins?" She asked softly. "As in two?" She shook her head. "I didnt think it was possible"

She then closed her eyes as he wiped the tears from her face. "What happens when they are teens?" She asked. She looked up at him. "I know you can do this, but am I really strong enough?"

Drake looks at her and says, "I will be with you every step of the way." He chuckles softly and says, "Yes twins I can see their souls forming. Once you get farther along, I will be able to hear their thoughts." He thinks about how to answer her question about them in their teens. He says calmly, "Well I think its because their bodies sense their soul mate's age so they stop aging at that point."

Biting her lower lip she looked up at him when he told her that he would be with her. "You better Drake, I dont think I am strong enough to do this on my own" She shook her head and sighed at the confrimation of twins. "I wonder what your family is going to think?" She then gasped "Oh God Drake...my father what is he going to say?"

She licked her lips again and rested on his chest. She knew she would have to stop taking her meds to not hurt the babies she brought her hand to her stomach and smiled "I am going to be a mom" She whispered,

Drake looks at her as she laid her on his chest. "We will tell him when you are ready to face it yourself. We need to let this sink in before we worry about telling anyone else. Are you hungry or thirsty? Oh and don't freak out if you hear child voices in your head when you sleep. Halflings have been to have a telepathic bond with their mother even in the womb. You will hear their thoughts before I do."

"I dont know what I am, guess I need to eat though right?" She shook her head. "Really I will get to hear them?" She smiled. "Do you know what they are going to be yet?" She licked her lips and sighed again. "I dont want my dad to freak out"

She closed her eyes, not asleep just overwhelimed about what was going on. She had just gone to sleep, woken up and was told she was going to birth twins" She whispered "Will it be a normal 9 months thing or is it going to be quicker?"

Drake smiles some and says, "I think any parant would freak out if they found out their only child was going to have a baby." He says after a moment, "As I sad earlier the first few weeks will be normal then it will speed up quickly. So it will be four and an half months long pregnancy."

"Well you can keep him nice and calm right?" She laughed nervously but then stay up quickly when given the time line "No no no no" I can not be ready we need cribs and clothes and where am I to birth the babies?" She was beginning to panic again her pulse and heart beat raced up and she was getting dizzy.

Drake huffs at her as she works herself up again. "Calm down and stay calmed down," He said a bit tense and worried. "Keep your heart calm..." He sighs as she was being a pain. "It would not take us long to get the things the babies will need. I will summon my aunt here to help deliver the baby at home. It is not safe to have the babies at a human hospital." Angie comes in with a tray of food and a kind smile. Drake says, "Angie knew this would happen..." (Dont forget looking for love)

Brook was too worked up to hear his huffing Brook was listing off the things they would need, cribs, carseats, clothes, diapers she wasnt even sure how they would grow if they would need blood or would she feed them.

She was only distracted when Angie came in. She looked at Angie. "Hey" She then sat down. "I am going to be a mom" she whispered.

Drake uses his power to calm her down. Angie looks at her as she lays the tray across her lap. She says, "Yes I know. The twins can see the future remember. They are perparing your room at our house as we speak over joyed with the fact that they are going to be uncles." She looks at the two of them as she sits down beside the bed. She says, "You don't know how lucky you two are..."

Once she was calm she leaned against Drake more. She really wanted to sit inbetween his legs so she could feel more secure but instead smiled at the food and looked at Angie. "You must think I am a fool" She said "I was just shocked is all, I mean its a hell of a way to wake up"

She took a bit of food to see how it will settle. "They are happy?" She asked and then smiled "Something tells me these twins are going to be the most spolled babies on the block" She sighed and looked at Angie "Angie you will be the godmother wont you?" She paused "I mean if you want"

Angie nods and says with a smile, "Yes I can understand you are shocked. But you would have found out sooner or later. None of us are very good at being quiet about a baby in the family." Drake looks at Brook and says, "You should eat something my love." Angie adds, "Yes you need to start eating more often now. I perpared the food to help your body adjust to the quick growth of the babies." Her eyes grow wide as Brook's statement sunk in. She says with a huge smile, "I would love to be the godmother..."

Knowing that they were right that she would have to eat more Brook continued eating. "I just wanted to make sure it was going to stay down, I really hate throwing up" She looked at her stomach. "My dad is going to start asking questions..." She paused I guess I can just start eating a lot, he might just think I am getting fat?"

She grinned when Angie agreed to be the god mother. "Good" She ate the plate then laid down. Still wishing that Drake would put her inbewteen his legs and hold her close.

Drake looks at her a moment knowing what she wanted him to do. He picks up keeping her covered and places her in between his legs and holds her close. Angie sighs and says, "I doubt your father will not be mad at you." She looks at Drake and says, "You asked for his blessing in marrying her right?" He nods slowly and says, "So you're saying this was bound to happen."

"Thank you Drake" Brook said softly when he gave her what she so dearly needed. Comfort. She was still a bit nervous about the whole thing. She was going to be a mother of halflings and in the process she was going to be turned into a vampire, she was excited for that, for the chance to spend eternity with Drake and his family but she was still felt nervous about being a mom.

She sighed and leaned into his chest more. She hadnt been listing to what they were saying but caught a bit of it. So looked at them and sighed. "Can the twins see how he is going to react?"

Drake looks at her a moment and says as he looks into her eyes, "They will see through your eyes how your father will react to them. They will everything you unless they are asleep." Angie looks at them a moment and says, "I will leave you two alone now. You keep eating Brook." She leaves as Drake keeps her in his arms. He says, "Well now all I need to do is call my anut and tell your father before too long."

Brook nodded feeling a little weak, it was a lot and fast. She sighed and nuzzled into Drakes chest. "Alright" She said softly not really knowing what she was agreeing to. Her head was spinning and she had finished her plate. But her stomach still grumbled.

She said a good bye to Angie then turned to him. "Drake are the babies ever going to need for blood when they are in me?"

Drake looks at her as he hears her stomach grumble and says calmly, "As far as I know, they won't need blood until they are born. I will talk to my aunt about it. Her daughter is a halfling so she would know all about it."

Nodding Brook sighed "That is good" She said softly. Then smiled. "My stomach is hungry, do you mind making me somthing?" She shook her head. "I just ate but something tells I am going to need to eat almost consently arent I?" She asked then smiled. "Are you still going to love me when I am a big as a blimp? She said with a bit of a smile.

Drake smiles and kisses her softly on the lips. He says, "I will love you no matter what." He gets up and puts on his pants before going to the kitchen to make her some food. He comes back a few minutes later with huge bananna split knowing halflings cause extreme sweet tooths to form in their mother's.

Feeling a little better when Drake reassured her she of course had knowen that but she just needed to hear the words again. She smiled as he left her. Gently rubbing her stomach whispering to it. Promising to protect them and love them.

When he came back her eyes widen and she laughed. "I would say that you were reading my mind but I already know you can do that" She smiled and sat up and starting eating. "Hmmm this does feel good" She grinned. "But why ice cream" She asked slightly confused.
