Hello and welcome to the Elemental Academy. I am a sudent here, Sora. I do not have a last name, for that was taken away from me.
Here, us..kids (I suppose) learn to weild our elements to fight against the war on earth.

On a more..personal note, I am Sora, an air-dweller. I am the only human in the academy.

I..suppose that is all.

Neo stared at the person. Were they talking to her? She'd never been able to really talk to someone before.

"Thanks. My mum always wanted me to go here, but she...well...she died. Or was killed is really the word for it." she said sadly.

She shook her head and gave a dazzling smile to Sora.

"An air-dweller, huh? That sounds exciting! I've never met one before. What can you do?" she asked.

Her head tilted to the side as she blinked curiously at Sora. That's right, she was being optimistic in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sora jumped at the sudden presence of the girl "G-Gaha!" she exclaimed, spining her head around to look at Neo.

A sad look lingered in her eyes as she looked at the girl, registering what she had said. "I'm so sorry,..." she trailed off, not knowing her name.

Shaking her head a bit, she smiles at the girl again. "O-oh! I can do this!"

The girl stared, looking a tad frustrated at the sky. "Come on, dammit.." Sora murmered. Suddenly, a wave of air came down and washed over the two, almost knocking them down.

Sora looked over at the girl and snickered "I can do that."

Neo giggled as she straightened herself, running a hand through her hair.

"Cool. I'd show you what I can do, but I'd hate to cause a commotion."
she laughed.

"I'm Neo. I have no idea which element I'm best at, but I'm working hard to save my-" she paused a moment with a laugh and corrected herself, "I mean to save the Earth." said with a smile.

Sora carefully tilted her head but shook off the feeling and smiled.

"So you're an earth mover?" she asked, rubbing her arm.

Hm, this girl seems..odd. she thought I should keep an eye out..

"Kind of, but I can do other stuff too."

She twirled her hand once and summoned a white rose.

"Well, that's the wrong color completely. Let me try again."

She kissed the rose and it bled to a vibrant blue color. She rushed up and tucked the rose into Sora's hair.

"Perfect! It makes you look pretty yet fierce!"

(Skye, a blue rose is the sign of a blessing and protection from Mother Earth. Just thought I'd throw that in there)

Sora giggled at the comment from the girl and looked at the rose in her navy blue hair.

"It's wonderful, I must admit." she said, smiling.

Neo smiled even bigger. She just wanted everyone to be happy.

"I'm so happy you like it! It matches, although that's an accident. Oh, and please don't tell anyone where you got it. Just say that it appeared before you. Okay?"

She gave pleading eyes. They were gold and filled with more knowledge and wisdom that they should have, but as far she she knew, nobody usually noticed. If they did, they never said anything.

Sora nodded and looked down, sweat beads forming on her head.

"H-how about we check you into a dorm?" she asked Neo, glancing into her eyes. The truth was there, but Sora didnt dare believe it. SHaking her head, the pulled Neo across the couryard.

"That is an excellent suggestion! However..." she trailed off, slowing them to a stroll.

"I wonder why you're the only one who will talk to me. I've tried making friends with other people, but so many people are just mean. Especially...boys...." th last word had a growl to it.

"Those boys...." she shook her head.

"Nevermind! To the dorm!" she cheered and grabbed Sora's hand, picking up to their previous pace.

She laughed, "Maybe you should lead since I don' t know my way around."

Sora immediately stopped in her tracks "Boys?" she asked inquisitevely.

"Who's been giving you trouble?"

Neo smiled and just shrugged.

"I don't know who they are, but I'm guessing they were Earth movers. I found out because the rocks came out of nowhere." she covered her mouth with a hand.

"Oops, my tongue slipped." she sighed.

Neo looked at Sora, still smiling, but it went from cheery to a sad smile. As if she was showing sympathy for the people they'd become.

Sora rested her hand on the back of her neck and sighed, walking again. "damn bastards.."

They stepped into the office and checked in. Walking up to the room, she looked over at Neo and smiled "Well," she muttered "you're safe with me."

Neo smiled back, much happier than before.

"This is going to be very different than what I'm used to. It's so closed in."

She looked around, making sure she knew where every nook and cranny was. It was something she did without realizing it.

"So do I get my own dorm or share?" she asked.

Sora went into the bathroom, proceding to tie her hair up in a messy bun. "Well," she said from the bathroom "if you want to share with me, you're more than welcome!"

She stepped out of the room and back next to Neo, using her powers to open the windows, letting the sunlight in, warming the cold, abandoned space.

Neo smiled at Sora.

"As long as it's not an intrusion, then I will take you up on that. But, why don't you already have a dorm-mate?"

She walked to one of the windows and walked her fingers along the edge. A vine appeared and upon it grew more blue roses. Her eyes searched the sky suspiciously before she turned back to Sora, still smiling eagerly.

Sora acted unfazed by the sudden vine and replied to the girl.

"No, not yet..." she trailed off and went to go sit on the bed nearest the window.

"I'm..a potential threat to the academy, so they didn't assign me with anyone."

[SamyRotu]

"Sadness..." Neo whispered.

"I don't see how you can be a danger. You don't have to tell me. It could always be a surprise." Neo giggled.

She leaned against the wall by the window, staring at the vine of roses. They remained blue and in full bloom. She sighed.

"Well, at least we're alone...for now. Now, back to my question. How could you be a danger?

Sora stared at the roses whislt she tried to think up a response.

"I'm uh...a.." she trailed off. Should she say it? It's a "bad word" but..she had to, no matter what kind of trash she was considered, she had to say it.

"I'm..human."

Alright, yes the war was started by them, yes everything was in danger because of them, but did that mean that all of them were bad? Did it?

Neo supressed a squeal and sat next to Sora.

"That's great! I've never met a human with element skills." she was so thrilled.

"Ignore what they call you." she told Sora, dancing off the bed.

"We can only be perfect through our imperfection. Beautiful through our flaws. It's almost like magic that way."

Neo sighed and calmed herself down a bit. Sh was always so excited about life, but it was who she was. Though, if anyone found out...there would be serious problems.

Sora was taken aback by her friends excitement and looked at her, leaning forward closer to her.

"There's something different about you too, Neo." she said , tilting her head.

"Well, if I tell you'll, we'll both be in trouble. You'll get locked away, and I'll get taken away to where nobody can even look at me." she whispered.

"But enough gloom! Is there anywhere around here that's...I don't know...grassy? With a good view of the sky at night?"

She had a tendency to stare at the moon. She blinked at Sora, waiting for an answer.

Sora snickered and lay a finger on her lips, thinking for a minute.

"Ah, theres a clearing in the forest.." she glances outside at the bright orage sun whilst it sat on the horizon.

"We'll leave once the sun sets, Neo." she whispered, walking over to her closet and pulling out an all black suit and dressing quickly.

"Are we going to be sneaky?" Neo grinned. She might look innocent, but she knew how to blend in the shadows.

"I wanted to go at night anyways. The sun is nice and all, but it's very brutal." she sighed.

She took off the bag she'd been wearing and slipped on her own black jacket. She was already wearing black clothes, but she was showing too much pale skin, so she also put on black stockings to cover her legs, skipping out on the shoes.

"After the sun sets, right?" she giggled, staring out the window longingly.

Sora nodded once, suddenly very serious. Wearing an all black suit was her usual uniform, but tonight felt special..perhaps because she had company.

The feeling she had was beyond her, but she tucked it in the back of her mind and sat on her bed, taking out a notebook and writing down a few words, her back turned to Neo.
