Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Alec crossed his arms and looked down at her. "Fine I will allow it" He then sighed loudly. "But you are not to question me" He said. "I am larid here and ruler"
He then looked at her. "Why do you think she is my daughter?"
He then looked at her. "Why do you think she is my daughter?"
Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana found it amusing that he didn't put up too much of a fight. But she didn't push it. "beacuse she looks like you, you catch yourself often when mentioning her. She's in your keep, and you keep a close eye on her, even if you don't get near. If she wasn't yours, would you keep confronting me when I'm trying to help her?"

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
The man listened to her reasonings. "She doenst look like me" He growled out. He looked at her. "The child seems better with you around, and that is the only reason why you are allowed in the room" He paused "But when she dies you are not to cry on my shoulder I warmed you"
With that he stromed off.
With that he stromed off.
Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana huffed when he stormed off after Warning her, again, about Annora dying. Oh he was going to get away this time, and she stormed off after him. "why are you so set that she's going to die?" she asked him.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Hearing her huff after her he sighed and stood facing her again his arms crossed now. He didnt except that question. His face fell for a moment then hetried to hide it. He had to remain strong, no one couldnt know how vunerable his daughter made him feel. "She came to early and has been sick ever since, I do not except her to survie the winter"
He glared at her. "Anymore questions?"
((Hmmm guess I made her too old...how old do oyu think she should be...I am thinking under a year))

Adriana stopped before him as he turned to face her. She listened to him. Sighing, deeply, she shook her head. "she'll survive," she told him firmly. "she's your daughter, she's a fighter. Annora's survived this long, and you know she's getting better." her chin lifted and she steadied her gaze on him. "you have to love her. Don't let her grow up without a father."

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Alec looked at her. He was feeling vulnerable and he didnt like it. He raised an eyebrow. "You are a stubbrone woman" He could feel his body tense around her. He wanted her and he couldnt understand why, plenty of woman had warmed his bed. None since his wife died though, he had sworn off women after his sweet, gentle wife died.
"Annora knows she is loved" He said gruffly, I make sure she is never alone even when sleeping." Her next statement stopped him. "Where is your father?"

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana glanced away from him when he asked her where her father was. "I... don't know. My uncle says he's a scot, a laird." She never knew her father, and she probably would never know him. Perhaps, it was better, than to try to find him, and have to go through the heartache when she learned he didn't want her at all.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Alec took a step back and put a finger to his bridge on his nose. "Do you know the name of the Clan?" This was could get really complicated, they were fueding with so many, well the highlands didnt really get along with too many unless they were united by marriage.
Hell things could get very complicated.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana's gaze snapped to him. "I... Think I have it written in my journal," she replied softly. "why?" she was weary, nervous. She didn't know anything about her father. Or what to believe. Her uncle had said her father didn't want her when she wanted try to find her father. But her aunt had said her mother ran back to England before she found out she was pregnant, so the laird never knew about his half english daughter.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
"You will go find his name and report it to me before sundown" His soft tone was gone he looked her up and down and singled for two of his men. "The Lady Adriana seems tired, escort her to Annora's room and have her rest, post yourself by the door she is not to be disturbed"
He then looked at her. "Remember what I told you" Then he was gone.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana wasn't very thrilled by the fact that he wanted her to find her father's name. And he was demanding she find the name. This wasn't something she wanted to try to dig up. If her father knew about her or not, she didn't want anything to do with him. It was just better to leave things buried.
It peeved her that he was just sending her back to Annora's room, although it was better than having to go to her friends house. Keeping occupied with Annora kept her from her troubling thoughts.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Alec had to walk away. The two soldiers smiled "Dont be so hard on him Mi lady he doesnt understand how harsh his voice sounds, just our way here but our Laird is right you do look a little tired, are you feeling okay?" They were honoured to show her to the room, it was clear in their faces, both were younger then most of the soldiers and to be given the honour of escourting her to the room was like a reward.
Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana glanced to the soldiers as they spoke to her. "I am fine," she replied softly. Was it her appearing tired, or troubled? After a long trip from her home to his, she spent talking to her friend, taking care of Annora, arguing with Alec, and feeling uneasy when the men drank, and now to add to her problems with the drinking, Alec wanted her to find the name of her father, whomever she never knew. Oh, she was doing just fine.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Both men didnt look like they belived her when she said she was fine. "Mi lady we were merly suggesting that you rest while little Annora sleeps. I have a feeling she is going to want to come outside again, and well" They looked a bit nervous. "We be noticing she is calmiest with you around"
Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana smiled softly at them. Their concern was heartwarming. "Annora is a dear," she replied softly. "I'm glad to help her." Adriana studied them before nodding. "Alright, I'll rest if you both and Alec say I should. I need to make a small detour to Catriona's home to get something."

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
The men smiled. "It would be an honour to escourt you to Catriona's house" It was clearly an honour for them to be put in charge of protecting Adriana. Alec had seen how the men stared at her and he didnt like it.
Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana blushed a little, not used to being protected. "Alright." She walked toward Catriona's home, letting them escort her. She dreaded getting her journal, and trying to find her fathers name. But perhaps it wasn't wise to refuse, when she had seen the look on Alec's face. Was it anger? Or worry? She wasn't entirely sure.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
both guards could see that something was not really right but it wasnt their place to say anything. Their Laird had all but come out and said that he was claiming her.
They walked with her and then waited until they could go back and then postioned themselves outside the door

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana went inside her friends home, and went to where her things were placed. She dug through one of the packs, and pulled out her black journal. It was thick, she had it for a long time, keeping record of things that happened in her life. If Alec were to get a hold of it, he would know everything she tried to keep hidden. If anyone knew, she wouldn't be able to handle it. After a moments thought, she grabbed her ink and quill, then headed out and allowed the soldiers led her to Annora's room.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Both the young soldiers stood gaurd. They both looked at eatch other with a bit a smile. But they didnt dare watch Lady Adriana sleep, it wasnt right, even though their Laird hadnt put his claim on her it was only a matter of time.
Alec had finished his run around the lake 3 miles total. He was exhausted when he came back. He walked passed the room and was greeted by his two gaurds that shused him he glared at them ready to knock some sense into them but when they pointed into the room he nodded. They were doing what they had ordered him too. He had ordered them to watch over them so they did.
He looked in at Annora snuggled into Adriana and he watched for a few minutes feeling the tightness in his chest that he did not like. He only felt this for one woman before and that was his wife. And he had killed her by brining her here and he wouldnt do it again. He stormed off.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana sat with Annora in her arms, with her journal firmly tucked beneath her leg, just enough so that she would feel if someone tried to take it. As she held Annora, her eyes started to close. She had denied that she was tired. But, her body was already starting to fall asleep.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Alec went it to his room. He moved the pelts and sighed. It was still wide open but the other buildings had been finished. He only had a bit more to do for his keep the common dinning room needed a little more work. The kitchen was done though.
He heard his name and went for it. He sent the next few hours dealing with issues. Training and disputs among his people. A few hours later he returned to the keep and went to the common room and sat by the fire rubbing his temples. What was he goingto do about Annora and Adriana, he only had 2 days before he would have to leave again for the metting between the clans that were not fueding.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Adriana rested for as long as she could, then she woke up, and took care of Annora. When she had a moment free, she grudgingly went through her journal, looking for her fathers damn name. It wasn't till she reached the middle of the journal, after skimming through several things from her past she wanted to forget, but had been foolish enough to write down, she found her father's name. McKinley. There was a note on the page explaining how her uncle claimed her father did not want her. He never told her who her father was. It was her aunt who had given her the name. Adriana had written it down, in hopes that one day she would try to find her father. But those hopes had long since died away.
With a sigh, she picked up Annora, and wrapped her up in a blanket to keep her warm. Then she tore the page from her journal, and with Annora in her arms, she headed out into the common room, to find Alec. Finding him by the fire, she approached him, and dropped the page with her fathers name on it, in his lap. Her body was tense, she was completely unhappy that she had to dig up those memories for Alec.

Re: The Scottish Feud [Private/Mature]
Hearing someone apporch Alec held his head up. He saw that it was Adriana and that she was holding Annora he sighed put down his goblet and and started to stand but instead she threw something in his lap he raised an eyebrow. This woman had a fire and he admired that, but he wouldnt allow another woman to die here because of him.
He nodded his thankyou. One look at her face he could tell that she wanted to kill him. And if looks could kill he was certain that he would be laying dead. He read the paper then made no reaction but stood bowed to her and looked at his daughter reached his hand out but then recoiled and called for his men.
They met him in the court yard he whispered something to them all they all turned to her then jumped on their horses and were off.
