Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She let him be before heading inside she took her key out in her room and looked to it "Wonder what people what with this thing anyway?" she asked herslef sighing a little and decided to see if she could find out. She asked around about what people ahd said adn strangely enough she found a fortune teller whotold her the tale "So there is something lokced up with a key that's upposed to appear when this person from another world comes here?" she asked adn they nodded "that is indeed true" he said smiling "Well that person should be very careful if a theif fidns them then there is no hope"

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Lux spent his time looking for something that would solidify their trust 'bond' between Isa and he. He needed to make sure she would stick around and not withhold information from him. He had to make sure she was very loyal to him. Quite possibly, something that he hadn't even considered before, he could convince her to help him in his ideals, but he felt she would disagree. Perhaps if a symbol of evil were to appear, he could look like the good guy that required the power so she would just hand it over in hopes of him fixing everything. Not that he was a bad guy in disguise of a good guy. He just wanted to be the person who came out on top, was all.
Eventually he found her something in the markets, a small trinket for her to enjoy. He had even paid for it with his own money. A glittering, jeweled barrette for her hair, something she would probably appreciate. Now he had to find her.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She began wondering the markets herself before heading back running into him on the way back "Hmmm, oh Aster..." she said "Everything ok?" she asked curiously before she tucked a bit of hair back waiting for his response, getting inpatient se sighed adn headed back ot the Inn herself to relax a little thinking to herself before hearing a knock "What is it?" she asked hiding the key away once more.
Meanwhile, someone was planning something he had seen her with the key unfortunatly for her and with her constantly keeping it around her neck when she was by her favourite spot.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Lux followed her back, a bit irritated that she always seemed so impatient and always wandered off before he had the chance. Clearly she had not heard of dramatic build up and what not. When he followed her back to the room, the door already shut, he knocked, waiting for her to step out so he could hand her the present he had bought her. He was sure she'd like it. There was almost no reason no to like it, he felt.
He handed over the jeweled barrette to her, muttering something about her being too hasty and not waiting for him to give her something he had found just for her.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She opened her door and looked to him before he handed her the little hair barrette and smiled looking to it "So pretty, thank you Aster" she said and pecked his cheek smiling as she did, still using his fake name. She looked to it, it reminded her of things she could get in her world, it looked as though it could even come from it but then she highly doubted that. she tucked a bit of hair and and put the barrette in. "Sorry I need to get changed now, they asked me to help out a little more when I got back" she said to him.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
He was caught off guard when she pecked him on the cheek. Maybe it was a common custom of gratitude where she came from. Or maybe he just didn't give gifts often enough. He gave her a curt nod, stepping out of the room to allow her to change. He felt the need to watch over her more closely, and make it appear casual while he was at it. Perhaps he'd sit and watch her work a while, just to see any suspicious people, or gather information. He waited outside her door so he could accompany her to her shift.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She walked out noticing he wsa still there and looked to him wondering why he really was still there but didn't ask before she headed to her shift heading behind the counter to start with the orders, having hurry due to screaming drunks already "Look just be quiet and be pateint" she said to them calmly and then began handing the drinks out although it was different to have Lux here since he usually just went out all the time but didn't think much of it really.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Lux observed her in her work, as well as watching those around her. He had to be sure no one was aware of who she was, or if she had the key or not. He didn't need her stolen or attacked any time soon. At least until he had the key. Once he had that, he wouldn't ultimately mind what had happened. He listened to the gossip going around them, processing what was useful and what was not. Most of it wasn't but some of it could be used for any number of things in the future.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Isa just did the usual routine for work before she headed out for a bit. However, it was different she could feel someone following and knew it wasn't Lux either btu someone different. She turned around but saw nothing adn gasped when a hand was put over ehr mouth she gripped their hand and tried to get away quite annoyed and knowing she should know not to go out so late anyway.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Isa didn't return as quick as he would have liked, in terms of what was supposed to be normal around here. Lux quickly stood up and headed out, listening hard for any noises that might contain the whereabouts of his companion. He heard a quiet struggle occurring a little ways off and quickly headed for it, finding the girl in question struggling out of a stranger's grip. Without hesitation he moved quickly, taking the foe out.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
The stranger fought back of course when Lux took him out and smirked, it was another person just like him a theif. Not that she knew that at all. Bakcing up a little when she did get free she looked at them both when Lux took him out. The key had almost been torn from her neck and lay around ehr neck on the necklace. She soon wondered what was going on.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Lux made quick work of the thief trying to nose in on his territory. He had this covered, thank you very much. He hated when other thieves tried to steal from him. It was annoying, and obviously he was the better thief. He turned to Isa to ask her well-being when he noticed the key around her neck. He definitely hadn't noticed that there before.
"Whoa, what is that? The key?" he asked, not even needing to feign surprise.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She looked to him a little shocked and when he noticed the key she hesitated "uhh... yeah" she said and rustled her hair a little "Everyone seems to be after it so I tried to hdie it" she said softly and tucked it back unde rhte top part of her dress and then thanksedhim pecking his cheek again "Thank you for helping me Aster" she said softly

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
He tried to hide the annoyance bubbling up as she tucked it away again. If it was around her neck all the time there was no way he could steal it. Not without some tact anyway.
"It's a good idea you've hidden it," he admitted, because he definitely hadn't known it was there. "You don't want others to spot it and come after you. It would be unfortunate for you to be injured or abducted."
The peck on the cheek made him flush. He wasn't used to people expressing gratitude towards him. "You're welcome, Isa. Let's go back in, all right? It's safer. Don't let anyone see that."

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She noticed he seemed a little annoyed but listened to what he said and nodded "Mypoint, that's why I didn't tell anyone that I ahd found it, but I think the others nes are going to show me where the actauly thing it unlocks is or amybe there is another part" she said softly thinking a little. She giggled seeing his cheeks flushed "Aww you look so cute when you turn red" she smiled and looked to him a little before she went back amking sure the key was hidden.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
So she had a little bit of sense to her, which was good. It meant he didn't need to hold her hand for everything. He was a bit amused how she thought his face turning red was cute. People didn't usually say things like that. Maybe it was a girl thing. When she headed back, he followed, making sure to keep a closer watch on her to avoid another thief nosing in on his territory.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She headed back feeling quite tired and just headed to her room in order to sleep "Thank you again, Aster" she said softly beofre she cloed the door in order to change into her night clothes so she could get to sleep, she left the key around her neck though to keep it safe knowing it would be tricky for anyone to take it from her neck.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
As she headed for bed, Lux started considering ways to get the key off of her. He could use devious methods that were a bit messy. Or he could just wait until they got the rest of it. That would probably be the best idea if he wanted this to work best. He could wait, he was patient. When were they moving out to the next place? The faster he got this over with, the faster he'd get his key.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She slept peacefully, blissfully unware of what he was really thinking. She wanted to get the galliant first before they moved since it was a long way that they had to go. The next day when she woke up she sat herself up wighing a little. She'd had a nightmare and her peaceful sleep had quickly become restless. Standing up she changed in order to go outside.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Lux had gotten up at the crack of dawn, actually having slept that night like a normal person. Maybe his wake up time was not so normal, but he was used to it. Better to rise too early than too late, he figured. He hung around in his room until he heard Isa get up in the room over, then left the room, waiting for her outside of her door.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She jumped when she saw him waiting outside her door as she walked out "Good morning Aster" she said softly sort of wondering why he was waiting outside her room "Is there somethintg you want to ask?" she asked him wiating for his answer still used to him just wondering off in the mornings.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Hm? Oh, no," he said, "just waiting for you to exit your room so we may go about the day." He was used to wandering off, and clearly she was used to him being gone by now, but he needed to get this done. "I need to know what we're doing next. We can make our next plans ahead of time if I know what we've got at this point. How much do you have? I have my share to put in for the Gallient."
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"After today's shift I'll have my share for the galliant so just really for a day or two more" she said nodding a little and smiled softly "Once we have the gallaint we're heading up to where those so called creatures are" she nodded before ruffling ehr hair and giving a heavy sigh wanting to be home already really. she had no reason to stay here at all.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Right, I understand," he replied, already calculating what would take how much time and how to be efficient with it. With the Gallient, surely their time would lessen, maybe by half if they were lucky. Travel time certainly would. Funds, not so much. With a Gallient, for each town they visited they'd need to pay for a rented stable. It would be fed and groomed while they were in the town, but it would cost each day. That was perhaps the only trouble with them.
"We should hurry. If one person has seen the key, I wonder if they'll tell others. The sooner we leave town the better."

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She nodded a little "I don't know but I still have my last shift" she said "So I'll just have to be careful, that's all" she asked ruffling her hair and sighed before she walked outside. She looked to him a little still sort of expecting him to walk off and do his own thing and would ask at some point. "This is kind of odd, but don't you usually wonder off?"
