Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Having saved up quite a bit she was happy with herself and told him she was leaving the next morning. She headed to bed after that and slept soundly packing her stuff the next morning in order to head out not caring much if he came nwo adn she had spare change she could use as well. She asked how far the nearest canyon was and got the answer of roughly 2 maybe 3 days worth of travel on foot. She sighed and tied her hair back before she began to head in that direction. Although unlike him she needed her sleep in order for her body to function properly the next day. Although she wouldn't have minded a nice bath or shower before hand.
She kept at her usual pace to make it to the canyon and hopefully find that next letter, eager to learn what she could since many people kept asking questions she did not know how to answer.
(ok cool...)

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
In total, the amount of money he had acquired over their visit to the town was better than he'd expected. Not only did he have plenty to restock and build in their supply amount, but he had much spare money to add to his own coin satchel. He was content with how their visit to the town had turned out, and now that it was time to leave and head for the canyon that he had already left the next note weeks previously, he was well prepared. His appearances was starting to get a little suspicious around town anyway. People were growing hesitant of inviting him back to their homes, which meant it was time to leave until another day he could come back and start over again.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She rustled her hair and walekd through different paths to get to where the canyon's were. She walked through the paths thinking a little as she began to set up her camp for the night "Ok, only around one more day of travelling" she said to him "then we have to camp alittle away from the canyon" she said and smiled a little She had tried to plan a route asbest as she could.
After the next day they got the the canyon and she looked around a little thinking a little once more carefule not to loose the letters she had and walked around before finding some old burnt down remains of a building and went to look around in them. "Aster telll me if you spot a letter" she said to him having dragged him withher to help.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Traveling in relative silence was what he was used to, and he enjoyed it. He was a man of mystery and aliases, of course, so speaking would give too much away, for either himself or his alias. He didn't even know much about who 'Aster' was. He used the travel to the canyon to come up with information in the event that anyone, including Isa, would need to know. By the time they got there he had mapped out Aster's entire life, goals, and past. The day they arrived and he was asked to let her know if a letter was spotted, he said nothing. It was up to her to find it. Of course he remembered where he put it, and he could easily just point it out or hint to where it was, but there was little fun in that. He looked in every spot it wasn't, waiting for her to locate it herself.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Isa watched a little noticing he kept avoiding one spot so she went to investigate and flapping about under a rock was the letter. That had risen some more suspicions though as she read through it, this one was a little strange to her and she could not understand where this person had gotten such an idea from.
Dear Isa,
Well done for finding letter three, this one is a little trickier have fun trying to decipher it.
Clue 3:
Two thinks that have inky feathers, what are they, one is a bird, find that out.
From
…….
She looked completely puzzled by this one and raised an eyebrow rather confused by it. She re read it and stuffed it in her pocket “Anyway, let’s see if we can find an Inn to stay at or at least somewhere not so cold and windy” she said. She looked over the canyon and then to the remains small memories flashing back.
She remembered being in this house when it was whole and not burnt, the sturdy walls sheltered her and her family from the cold winds outside. She then looked to the corner and picked out something, it looked like the top bit of a key, the bit that connected to the chain but not the actual key part. She looked to it and put it around her neck before her memories flashed back once more; she had hidden the other part, the most important part somewhere else… as to where that still remained clouded in her mind.
She then looked to Aster, “Why did you avoid the one spot the letter was in?” she asked him looking to him as she slowly unravelled things.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"You found it?" he asked her once he saw her approach the spot he had hidden it. He read over her shoulder as she read, watching her closely to see if she was understanding any of it. He was surprised when she asked him why he had avoided where it was. How to pass it off as innocent, now? Well, he wouldn't be an ace at what he did if he had to sit and think about what excuse to use.
"I didn't think it'd be there," he said, sounding embarrassed. "Last place I'd look was under a rock. Why bother looking where I wouldn't think it'd be?"

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Well it could be anywhere" she said to him noticing that he sounded quite embarassed about it... "never mind, i foudn it now let's try finding somewhere to camp" she said to him, her mind raicng something jsut seemed a little off ot her. But then again going through dimensions and ending up trapped in another one didn't exactly help. She wanted to go back home and missed her freinds and family greatly. "This place is where i used to live" she said her voice trailing as she spoke of what she could remember. "I also remember i broke something, like a key in half, I hid one peice somwhere else and left another peice here, the top bit" she said shoingit to him "I wonder why though, my mother said it was dangerous, never to let anyone get to it"

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Anywhere, I suppose. I just didn't think to look under a rock of all places," he said, dismissing the question entirely. He waved a hand out to the entire expanse of the area. "Pick a spot, any spot," he told her, as finding a spot to kip out for the night was as simple as sitting where they stood. "This is where you lived? In a canyon?" he questioned her, only to furrow his brow when she continued and admitted to breaking the key in half. It made sense to make that reaction in his mind. He had to play confused. Even he actually wondered why she split it. "So are you looking for it if no one can have it to hide it?" he asked her, honestly wondering what she would do with it. Of course, as soon as she showed him where it was, he'd be taking it off her hands, probably with everything else she owned. He was a turncoat, after all.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She frowned when he dismissed the question and sighed setting up a small fire and sitting down “Well sort of, my mother liked this place it was quiet and she said it wasn’t far from a town, maybe only a few hours away on a galliant” she said to him. “Well. Mostly curiosity but if it’s dangerous and people are looking for it then, I should keep it safe if I hide it people could find it so if I kept it with me then it would be a little safer” she thought a little “Also if I return to my world, it would be even safer since no one knows about the key there” she hugged her knees up to her chest watching the dancing flickering flames. “Why don’t you speak about yourself, I’ve travelled with you for a while and yet I only know your name, so I’m curious… what about your family?” she asked him.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"I see," he said, nodding. Just a small piece of information to store away if he'd ever need it. He probably wouldn't. Personal information rarely did him any good. All the same, info was info. He wouldn't be allowing her to take it back to her world unless he could figure out how to travel via between dimensions.
The sudden question about his family made him glad he'd come up with the fake story on the way here. He steepled his fingers together in thought, touching the two index fingers to his lips.
"My family is large, but very parted. So parted, that with the few of us that are close, we're like a small family." The words flowed easily as he recalled what he had come up with. "I've got six older brothers and two younger sisters. My mother and father are living but not together. Three of my brothers are no longer living, either." He paused, acting as any sad person should when it came to late family. "But they were idiots, so it was their own fault." He had even come up with how the three had died. He really had outdone himself on this one. "The rest live very far away, except for my sisters and mother. They live together, and on the rare occasion I visit. What about your family? I believe I might have only heard of your mother?"

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She listened a little to what he said about his family, “Your family sound like one of my friends back in world” she said to him and then thought a little about her own “Well, my mother vanished when I was younger, my father died a few years back so there really is only me, but he used to work in an office. I was raised by my grandparents over the last few years who helped me with small things when I started living on my own… my family isn’t very interesting really” she muttered. “And as you can guess they live quite far away” she said her thoughts trailing off again. She was wondering about what to do maybe staying in another village for a while would be good; maybe save up enough for a galliant this time since it appears that even using one to help carry bags would be useful.“Maybe staying in the next village for a while and saving up would be a good idea, we can save up a little and it’ll be easier with a galliant” she said thinking as she smiled to herself at the plan.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"I would say it's better to have a less interesting family if it means they're always there for you," he commented, "but never mind that. We'll get you back to yours soon enough." As long as they weren't going back to the village they just came from, Lux was fine in bringing her to any village.
"We could keep going west if you wanted to go to the next village. Backtracking would be pointless at this point," he said. He had yet to write the next note anyway. Maybe he could write it when he got some time to himself in the village and make a quick run out. If she got another job she'd never notice.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Yeah I guess and that sounds like a plan, we'll keep heading west tomorrow and hopefully the Inn Keeper wil be nice again" she said "and the last one wrote something to help me as well, like a recommendation to help me get some temperary jobs at the Inn's" she said nodding a little as she mulled over the riddle, it really was a strange one. She settled ehrself down to sleep she was tired and didn't want to wake up exhusted the next day and fi they made good ground they would hopefully be able to make it to the next village.
The morning after was quite miserable, waking up she looked to the grey sky and looked to Lux to see if he was awake "You awake Aster" she said still calling him by his fake name. She stood up and brushed herself down a little "Well hoepfully we'll get to the next vilalge soon, I don't wnat to get caught in the rain.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
He ended up staying awake half the night just for sentry purposes before allowing himself to fall into a light sleep. He was a light sleeper anyway. When he awoke the next morning before Isa, he stayed down, listening to the area around them. It was always nice when it was quiet. When she woke up and asked if he was up, he sat up. Of course he was awake.
"Next village we ought to be there by the afternoon if we leave now and we move swiftly," he told her, looking to the sky. Rain indeed would be the weather. It would begin to rain before noon, and continue heavily well into the night. They would definitely have to hurry if they didn't want the supplies to get wet.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Well let's get going" she said to him and grabbed her bag and began to head to the west again keeping at a swift pace not wanting to get soaked herself or her supplies especially the letters as well. She tried to keep the pace up as best she could considering she wasn't used to walking she did quite well. "How much further?" she asked him and kept her pace. She rustled her hair getting a little tired but refused to stop walking until they reached the boarders off the village and quickly foudn the Inn before the rain started to pour down. "Lucky..." she said giving a sigh of relief.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Perhaps getting a Gallient would be in their best interest considering she had so little energy to walk and travel as they did. If she rode the Gallient then he would walk and be just fine. It would stop her from being so tired and allow them to cover more ground. When they made it to the borders of the village it had already begun to sprinkle. Just in time, he had thought. He was good at reading the weather.
"I'll meet you there," he told her, looking for stables that might house Gallients. They were lucky they had actually gone to a village that had them. Not all villages were wealthy enough to possess a farm.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Ok fine" she said and headed to the Inn she asked about a job while she was at it and also managed to get them to save a room for him as well since it was quite busy. Lucky of rher they needed help due to that nad negotioated a free room a decent slary while she worked there for a while, although ti would be less because of the free room it was still something. She had her first shift that night and went to the room she had been given and sorted ehrself out running over the letter until she found Lux, "Hey I got them to reserve a room for you since they only had a few left" she said to him. "Now I have to hurry, see ya" she said to him.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Oh, thanks," he said, having just bargained a price for a Gallient. He had promised the owner a certain amount of money (of which would need to be acquired first). He wouldn't be using the free room at the Inn that night due to the fact that he was going to try for an even lower price by 'negotiating' with the owner's son. He was proud of himself for getting such a low price, too. When this was all over, once he had the key for himself and had Isa sent back to her world, he'd even have the Gallient out of this.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Isa began her shift noticing he hadn't come back not that she really minded, but she had noticed it before and was a little curious but never mentioned anything having to focus on her work more. It did not take her very long to get back intot eh working routine and also serving the meals and drinks. She also wanted to find somewhere she could relax during the day before her shift and even used a few peices of money to buy a small blank paper book and some pencils so she could do her sketches again.
She asked about where she could go and heard of somewhere that soudned quite nice and went to explore it the next morning before she did ehr sketches of small thigns she spotted, even found some wild galliants and smiled sketching them before they ran off, she didn't really stay at the Inn very much at all.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
After leaving the house with the lowest deal he'd ever heard for a Gallient, Lux went off in search of some paper. He had to write out the next letter and bring it to the next location soon. Maybe he'd do it this afternoon, run it down, and be back early the next morn. Before Isa would even know he was gone, maybe. He should have been more prepared for this letter, but he didn't think she'd get this far this fast. Sure, it was too slow for his liking, but it was faster than he'd estimated her to go.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Isa had wondered a little ways off after her shift that night to the small place of creatures once more, She had her paper and pencil and getting back quite late she was tired and decided that she needed to sleep placing the notepad on the small side table she drifted off a bit to get some sleep. She woke up at a weird hour and went outside spotting someone moving wondering what anyone would be doing at this time fo night and wanted to asked but spotted soemthign that made ehr recognise him "Aster?"

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
Lux spun around on his heel, stashing the written note in his back pocket smoothly and quickly. It wouldn't wrinkle too much, and he hoped he was quick enough to evade her gaze. Not like he was carrying it around and waving it about, but he had to store it away in case he needed his hands for whatever reason.
"Yes, Miss Isa?" he asked, facing her casually. If she asked about the note at all he could tell her it was a letter to his parents or a sibling or something. The only way she'd see it was if she snatched it off his person.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"What do you have there, A letter?" she asked curiously as she looked to him as she asked. Isa was good at hiding things nad she was hiding from him something that he'd just love to know, she ahd remembered where she had hid the other half of the key... however, she did not know how to get there or where what the key unlocked was that was the next half of the mystery.
Getting impaitent she sighed and tried to take it from him, getting it from him she did not read it just yet, she sighed before they wer eboth called in, she dragged him inside with ehr since the owner was locking up. Tired and havign jsut finsihed her shift she headed to her room placing the letter face down and locking the door behind her in order to get soem sleep in deciding she'd read it in the morning.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
He had been about to reply that it was a letter being sent out to his mother and sisters, but was more or less physically assaulted for the piece of paper. He panicked slightly but didn't raise a fuss. If it were just a 'letter' then no one would make a huge fuss unless it had something valuable in it, or embarrassing. He allowed her to take it, keeping an eye on her to make sure she didn't read it. He couldn't risk her finding out it was him this far in. If she figured out he was the one sending letters, what else would she distrust him about? Not like he couldn't lie his way out of it, but she basically wouldn't trust him anymore, thus making everything twice as complicated as things could be with her clueless.
Once they had gone in and she had locked up her room, he stood close to the door, listening to the noises inside to hear her pacing, to hear what she was up to. He took the time in the hall to fabricate a new note to replace the one he was taking. Once things had gotten quiet, he pulled out small pins from his pocket, something he always carried with him.
He quickly and quietly picked the lock to the room, glancing over at her once the door was open. She was sleeping, and from what he knew of their time together, she was a sound sleeper. He did a quick scan of the room and found the letter face down on the desk. He did a swift swap of the letters, exchanging the next clue for a letter to his 'mother' and left the room, exiting the Inn via his window and heading for the next location they were to go once she figured out the previous clue. He'd be back before she woke up.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She did move a little when she slept curling into a ball in order to sleep soundly before the morning came. When the morning did come she scanned over the letter briefly before she gave it back to him. She then walked out to head back to that spot again, she sighed and relaxed something was bothering her. She rustled her hair and sat up beginning her sketches once more it gave her some peace. She looked to the half of the key she had and sighed “honestly this thing has caused so much trouble” she muttered. “Wonder what is so important about it… hmmm maybe I will remember what they locked up” she said giving a light sigh she laid back and looked to the sky and began to do a sketch of the key remember what It looked like when it was complete. She noticed that Lux didn’t really talk to her at all so just left it deciding she should save on her own and find these letters herself since something just seemed a little off.
