Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
He followed her quietly until she questioned his presence. "Of course I usually wander," he responded, "but at this point I'm wondering how smart of an idea it is now that at least one person in this town is aware of the key." Oh, he'd be pretty pissed if she was taken or the key was taken while he was out 'wandering around.' They were this far already, it'd be terrible to screw up now. He wanted to get this done and over with soon.

She sighed and turned away finding ehr usual spot adn relaxing there for a bit before heading to her shift, by the time it was finished she had her fair share to get the galliant. "Well we can get the galliant in the morning" she said to hm noticing eh really was acting a bit like a stalker at this point. The next morning she woke up and he was outside her door again as she let him lead her to the salesmen which they were getting this galliant from.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
The day had been very slow to him for her last shift, but he waited patiently. Once the day ended, he slept well and rose early, counting up the money for his part of the Gallient. Most of it had been earned while the rest of it had been stolen. He was too much of a nervous spender to use his own pocketed money. Once Isa was awake he showed her to the seller that he had managed to get a discount from, taking her share and placing it with his, handing it over.
"Well, pick one out," he offered, watching the buyer count their money.

She nodded a little and spotted a rather interesting one that was a different colour than the others, a very dark brown, almost black colour "That one at the back" she said pointing it out before it was brought over and she ran her hands along the strange creatures face "Strange looking creatures" she muttered and smiled softly since it was like having a pet to her.

He watched her pick one, basically ignoring things that a typical buyer might look for, and instead looked at uniqueness. Not that looking for uniqueness was bad, but one would typically look at their teeth, hooves, and other things before choosing. He didn't mind her choosing the one she did though. He liked it too. He could check how it was later anyways.

They had been lucky in a sense it was a very healthy galliant with good hooves and teeth and was good for travelling, they had been very lucky. She ran her hands on the fur breifly a little curious about these creatures still noticing they had simliarites to other animals from where she came from.

"What do you think?" he asked her, looking at the beast of burden. It would work, definitely. They would have to test it to see how much weight it could carry. The more the better. Maybe it was possible to carry Isa and their supplies too. They'd cover more ground if she didn't need to camp and rest every night. Maybe every other night or something.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She smiled a little "I think it's good, anyway we should start heading out " she said softly still running her hands through the beasts fur contently "Also less liklely to be seen because of the dark coat" she nodded happily movins bits of the fur carefully from it's eyes

"Yeah, okay," he responded, gathering his possessions to saddle up on the beast. He was glad he didn't carry a lot. Not even owning this creature would make him carry more though. He never knew when he might need to make a quick escape, with or without the Gallient, so having few possessions was still a good idea, even with an extra hand. "So this will get us father in distance as long as we allow it to pace itself," he explained. "We'll have to break it in a bit for the first while, but afterwards carrying anything you need, including yourself, should be no problem for it."
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She didn't have much withehr apart from the letters and her old clothes that was about it and the hair clip he had bought for her really. She nodded a little she wasn't sure how to look after I so just took his word about it really. "And I don't need to be carried by it either"she said stubbornly to him she also picked up her sketch book and small pouch of coins. After a while once they were heading out she kept up easily and wouldn't say anything when she felt a little tired when the evening came. She looked to the sky breifly wondering why she ahd to come into such chaos.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Sure you don't," he responded half jokingly. They'd see. Chances were they'd have to use the Gallient to carry one of them once in a while, and he was nearly positive it would be her more often than not. "We're taking this one, in case you were uncertain," he told the dealer, who nodded and put the beast's tack on. A little persuasiveness had had him putting it in for free rather than spend another few days trying to earn the money for the equipment. "Let's go, Isa." He turned to leave, letting her escort the creature out.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She frowned at him before she waited until the tack was put on watching carefully it wasn't too different from how tack was put on a horse back in her world. She took the reins of the headgear it wore leading the creature to follow her as she walked a little behind him. She could hear the light thuds of the beasts hooes which made it clear it was definatly heavier than a horse. She carried her own stuff at the moment though out of habit. "Anyway which way is the next place?" she asked having no clue really which direction they had to go in.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Depends," he said, looking around. "Depends which place you want to go first. I can tell you the general direction and we can head over." He wanted her to make the initial decision of where they should head for. If he made them, it would be too suspicious.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"To where those creatures in the letter live, isn't that somewhere in the mountains? So lets go there" she said to him having told him a few days ago anyway. She waited for him to lead the way holding the reins to the beast of burden behind her as she let him lead the way.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
"Fine, fine," he relented, using a mental map to figure out where it would be and the quickest way to get there. There almost wasn't a quick way, just going straight for it instead of stopping in the towns close by. He took the lead once he was sure of where he was headed, keeping a steady pace for the Gallient to get used to walking with them.
Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She lead the galliant behind her as she kept at a good pace as well so as to try not slow him down at all. Although she knew she couldn't stay awake all day and all night, she knew for a fact she couldn't do that but she could always try her best to. She ruffled her hair a little and kept up with him most of the time just following behind and she didn't really have anything to say anyway.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
The pace was quick and their travel was silent. The Gallient's hooves created a steady sound for them. Lux didn't mind. He liked it quiet, although maybe creating a more amicable atmosphere or friendly conversation would build their trust levels more.
"So, you liked the barrette, right?" he asked, breaking the silence between them. He tried thinking of more questions ahead of time so he didn't lapse into silence again.

Re: Trail of Letters (Reserved, Mature)
She nodded "Yeah, it's pretty and my favourite colour too... reminds me of home" she said softly not really having very much to say and kept the barrette safe while they travelled not really wanting to lose it if he could help it. She stroked the Galliant's head deciding she would have to give it a name sooner or later. She walked silently just thinking to herself again about some things and about this strange world as well.
