Nicholas looks at her a moment. Out of all the things her mind chooses to remember, she remembers his dark side? Okay that was just damn cruel and unfair. He says, “I will answer you next time.” He could not control when he went dark. But his darker side was cold and killed for pleasure and could not be stopped. He pats her head and says, “I cannot control when I go dark. But if I go dark, I want you to run.”

"And if I say no?" she asked him "There is a way to stop you i know that, I just can't remember what it is" she said laughing a little nervously as she tried to remember what it was. Just like you used to kiss me after an experiment because you thought I'd turned into a zombie" She said looking to him for a moment "Plus who said you could tell em what to do anyway" she kissed his nose before heading back inside "Don't go to bed too late ok?" she headed to bed and slept once again, more memories returning to her as she slept.

He looks at her and says, “Because I am trying to do what is best for you Kat. That overrides the need to be told by someone that I am the boss of you.” He watches her go to bed still getting over the fact that she kissed his nose. She was aware of it but she seemed to slowly remember with each passing day. He really did not sleep anymore just pretended to he could convince himself he was normal. He went to his room and stayed quiet.

Keita knocked on his door knowing he was awake "Want a warm drink, I can't sleep" she said to him before giving a yawn and looking to him "Well?" asking once again before she went ahead and made them both a warm drink anyway. "Do you know why we were experiments anyway?" she asked him softly sitting on his bed and drinking the warm hot chocolate she'd made for herself.

Nicholas looks at her after taking the warm drink. He rolled on to his side and says after taking a sip of his drink, "Children always have been more resultant than adults. So they took hundreds of babies. Then started doing experiments once they got the kids to the laboratory. But the experiments were too much for most of the kids. Only you, me, Eric, Rebecca and Frederick survived. That only made the scientists more curious. They increased the amount of experiments we would go through a day. This wore down our bodies. Slowly we began getting sick. The serum was the only thing keeping us alive."

[Rose for the Hunter]

"What serum?" she asked before sighing "The how did you survive so png without the serum and how come we're not ill now, is that because there are no experiments?" she questioned again. "and do you know where the other three are?" shifting where she was and sipping her drink as well. "Also do you ever sleep?"

Nicholas looks at her as she asked her questions. "Remember on the drive to get your pay how I was shaking in pain and my veins were deeply noticeable? That was the serum in my system acting up. The serum is a mixture of chemicals they would inject us with every day. After a while, all of us began making the serum on our own. The serum acts up differently for each of us." He takes another sip of his drink before continuing. "We are not sick now because we keep getting stronger. The serum makes sure of that. It does help that we are not being experimented on anymore. Not that anyone could hold us in a cell anymore." He thought carefully about her question about the others. "Yeah I know where the others are. We seem to be stronger when we are all together." He smiles some. "No I don't ever sleep. I don't really get tired."

[Rose for the Hunter]

She nodded listening to what he was saying "Ok then" she smiled then shook her head "Might explain why I sleep a lot if we're linked maybe I'm the one that does all the sleeping" she joke before kissing his cheek "I'll see you int he morning, I really do need to sleep unlike you" she said heading to bed and this time slept rather peacefully.
The next morning when she woke up she walked out of her room and looked around "Nick?" she muttered still rather sleepy.

He laughed lightly at her little joke and kissed her cheek. "Maybe but then you would be sleeping around the clock." He watched her go to bed before getting out his computer. He spends the night talking to the others.

When morning came he made pancakes, hash browns, and scrambled eggs. He hears her wake up. "Hey you are up just in time for breakfast. But then we got to pack our things. The others want us to all be together. They are worried about the movement The Order is doing."

"I had a feeling they were moving" she said to him before stretching and nodding "Ok then, after breakfast though" she muttered and sat down to eat her breakfast and then began to pack up what she would need before coming out of her room "So where is it this time Nick?" she yawned and stretched again. She and done a lot of thinking but decided to tell him after they were in a much safer place. Keita headed outside to the car "We going then?"

Seated in the car when they were moving she looked outside sitting in the front with him this time. "How much further?"

Nicholas looks at her a moment and says while fixing her and him a plate of food, "We are going to another city. We will be safer in the city because we will be with the others. But it will be a little harder on me. It is a lot easier to trigger my dark side."

Once they are done eating he packs his things and got in the car. He was glad that she decided to ride up there with him. "Sorry but it will be a few hours even with my crazy driving." He was clearly uncomfortable with the idea of going back to city life. So much noise. So many corrupted people. So much temptation.

"Don't worry if your dark side does appear I'll be sure to try and stop you" she smiled before kissing him quickly this time on the lips, hoping he got her message and that he wouldn't crash either. "and at least it won't be days" she sighed settling where she was having made a few snacks for them both for during the long trip.She also wanted to see if she could figure out how she stopped him that time, that was how she knew he had a 'dark' side.

Nicholas blushes deep red when she kissed him. It was quick but it was the first time she has kissed him. So he was surprised to say the least. "Kat you should worry about yourself if my dark side comes out. I could not live with myself if I hurt you." He keeps his eyes on the road his hands gripping the wheel so tight his knuckles were white.

Once they got to the city, Nicholas was clearly having a hard time. He puts the car in auto pilot and holds his head. His eyes going from gold to red and back again repeatedly. "I hate the city. Absolutely hate it."

When the car did stop she got him out of the car and kissed him softly again "Calm down nick, take a deep breath, once we meet up with the others we can ask if we can go back out to the country" she spoke softly and quietly, she couldn't even remember what the other three looked like. She tried to get him to clam down so his 'dark side wouldn't emerge.

The car stopped at a well kept church. A tall blonde woman came out. "Keita nice to see you again." She helped Keita get Nicholas inside and put him in a seat. "I am Rebecca. Eric and Frederick went to get some bed stuff for you and Nicholas." Nicholas grips the seat and says, "Rebecca you know I can't stay in the city. You know "he" will come out." She looks at him. "At this point we need him to come out. The Order has started the experiments on other kids. Your other side could help us save those kids."

[Rose for the Hunter]

"That's just cruel, there are other ways to sort such things out" she said to Rebecca and looked to Nick. "Plus I promised I'd help him if his other side came out" she sighed "Although I can't remember for the life of me how I stopped him before" ruffling her hair and just tried to get Nick to calm down. "Nick, look at me" she said to him. "breathe deeply and try to think of something else, something that calms you, for the moment that is all I can think of to help" she sighed and kissed his nose gently.
She looked up when two others walked through the doors, her hidden blade on one hand becoming visible as she looked to them for a moment.

Eric and Frederick were twin brothers with dark brown hair and deep green eyes. They looked at the three of them and smiled sheepishly. They say in union, "Glad all of you are here okay." Nicholas stands up and strokes Keita's cheek. "It's okay. They are not going to hurt you." His eyes kept flashing back and forth between gold and red. Eric says, "Nick do you want something to put you sleep?" He says, "No that makes it easier for him to take over."

[Rose for the Hunter]

Keita looked to Nick and nodded the blade coiling it's self once again before she made Nick sit down again "Just concentrate on keepings your mind ok?" she said to him gently and rested her head against his "Focus Nick" determined to make sure he stayed as Nick, and did not let he's dark side take over.

Nicholas looks at her trying to stay calm. But it was not working. His eyes turned completely red. His silver hair turned black. He pale skin tans. A deep voice coming from the transformed Nicholas says, "Long time no see guys. I think I am going to stay out a while this time." A smokey long blade appears in his hand. "Who do I get to kill?" Rebecca says, "The scientists have started to do the experiments again. Nathan will you help us stop him?" He looks at Keita and says to Rebecca, "Only if Kat doesn't get hurt."

Keita looked a little confused "Nathan I'll be fine" she said "Also if I remember correctly i called you Nat at one point" she sighed and ruffled her hair "Just make sure you don't get hurt, ok, I want both you and Nick back in one piece understood?" she said sternly "I can look after myself after all but I'm not just going to sit back either" she looked to Rebecca "I'll go with him, I want to see what else I can remember about all of this"

Nathan looks at her trying to find something in her. "Nicholas was right. Your memory is shot." He pats her head. "You did not like me much. After all I have made Nicholas do a lot of bad things. All to protect you. The woman he has always loved. And you don't even remember why." Nathan leaves the church keeping his weapon close at hand. Eric watches him go before saying, "Keita ignore him. He likes to put blame on others for his actions. Think of Nathan and Nicholas as twin brothers that live in the same body. Nicholas being the good twin while Nathan is the bad twin. The only thing that they both have in common is their feelings for you."

Keita looked to him blinking rather confused before turning to Eric and nodded "That's rather complicated within its self" she sighed and ruffled her hair before she headed outside as well but could not find him so headed up to on of the many tall buildings and headed towards where she knew he'd be heading. She soon managed to get into the building hearing cries and screaming made her stop in her tracks, she shiver and tried shaking it off but found herself unable to move her feet as a flood of memories came back causing her head to hurt like mad.

Nathan could feel her pain but he did not stop destroying the lab where he found the kids. He was not hurting any of the children but he was killing all the scientists and destroying all the data they had gathered while doing experiments on the children. He comes out of the building covered in blood but is carrying every child out safely. He may seem like an asshole but he was doing the best he could with the situation he was dealt. Once all the children are safely out of the building, he goes to her side while carrying every child to the church.

When she snapped out of it, she kicked herself carefully from his arms and picked up some of the younger ones just before they got to the church, not able to speak at the moment as her mind was still taking in all the recovered memories. She put the kids down and then sat down on one of the benches holding her head. Keita looked up to Rebecca and then to Nathan. "What do we do now, try to find their families?"

Rebecca says slowly after making sure the children are comfortable, "The people at the lab were more careful this time. They chose to steal orphans or given up children to use for their experiments. The only thing we can do for them is help them make it through the process of making the serum settle down. Then we will have to return them to the orphanages from once they came. No one will know what powers they will develop until their bodies adjust to having the serum in their system. That sometimes takes years to happen." Nathan looks around at the others. "We could open up an orphanage of our own for these kids. And in our care, we could show them how to control their abilities when they show up. Who would be better to teach them than us?"
