Dani got into the changing room and stripped down she stared into the mirror then as he handed over the bathing suits she had to laugh they barely had any fabric on them espeally the last one she shook her head and tired on the first one then opened the door for Alex. It was black and was very skimpy. She heard what he said about her brother. "Well he might get sick to his stomach, but I will be under the water mostly but I could wear a one peice if you are worried about it" In truth she was curious what her brother would say..but she would have to cross that bridge when she came to it.

As she saw Alex sitting there she chuckled. "Well Alex I must say your taste is what I would have excepted. She spun around for him and asked "What do oyu think?" She walked back into the change room and did the process the other two times. Wearing the skimpist one she walked up to Alex and leaned downed and whispered slightly "What one do you like the most my love?"

As Dani came out the first time he drank in everything. His jaw kind of dropped but he had a grin on his face. He knew Dani had a lovely body and the bikini just seemed to bring it out more. He was already becoming hard and erect as he imagined moving his hands over her body. By the time she got to the last one he was ready to jump her right there and then. Behind him a couple of guys was cutting through that part of the store to get to another part of it when they suddenly stopped and gawlked. Their mouths dropped open and eyes went big. A third kept walking and as he drank in the scene, he ran into a pole. That made Alex turn around and see the three guys.

He could see what effect she had on others and it made him chuckle. He got up from his chair and moved to her and put his arms around her pulling her to him. "I think this one is the one I like." he chuckled and looked back at the three guys over his shoulder.

Dani giggled as his jaw dropped. She felt a little unsure of herself but he had helped bring up herself confidence. She had momentairly forgotten about where she was it was just her and Alex but when she head the smack of someone running into something she looked up and saw the gawers and the one fellow on the ground. She blushed greatly. She would have ran back to the changing room but Alex had stopped her by pulling her in and holding her in tight.

She playfully hit him 'of course you would like the one with the least amount of matiral" She giggiled again "Can I change back now or do you want to allow the mall to gawk at your girl?"

Alex laughed. "Well now I think we have given some enough of a show." He let her go so she could go back in and change. As he waited the three guys kind of hurried off but he had a feeling he knew what they were talking about. As he waited for her to get dressed he looked around at the other things. He never really looked around the women's department of a store. He spotted some short, lacie, see through nighties that revealed quite a bit. He wondered why one would ware that, especially when it would be coming off real fast and probably not be put back on.

When Dani was ready he let her carry the last bikini she tried on to the check out counter. He paid for it and as they left the store saw the three guys again and chuckled. "Ah I see your fan club is still around." All three had that look of wishing they were in Alex's place.

Dani eyed the guys as they hurried off and shook her head rolling her eyes. Guys were so strange, she had never been looked at in such a way and now that she was off the market as it might be all of a sudden she was being stared at. But she also had a feeling it had to do with what she was wearing so she gladly went back to the changing room and changed. She brought out the reject bikinnis and put them on the rack She noticed Alex staring at the lacy things she walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist “Don’t even think about it” She giggled then walked with the keeper to the check out. She smiled a little at the cashier as she rang it up.
As they walked away she thanked him. Noticing the guys hanging around she smiled then got a wicked look on her face leaped up into Alex’s arms so her body was a good distance off of the floor and her legs were wrapped around his torso and her arms were wrapped around his neck she bent her head down and whispered into his ear. “Lets show them how lucky you are” With that she kissed him long and hard on the lips. Then lowered herself down, winked at the boys then continued to walk

Alex laughed as she jumped up and put her legs around him and kissed him. She was getting more and more gutsy. When she broke the kiss and slid down to stand on her feet again he glanced at the three guys and grinned. The put his arm about her waist and continued on their way. "Now lets go up to our little retreat shall we." he grinned again and took her out to the car.

He drove them up to what had been his retreat overlooking the city. Parking the car he helped her out and opened the trunk to take a blanket out. Taking her by the hand he lead her to the spot and spread the blanket and laid down on it pulling her down to him. "The perfect end to a perfect day." he whispered in her ear. The leaves of the trees were turning and soon the snow would begin to fall. In another couple months half the school year would be over and they would be that much closer to graduation.

Dani didnt turn back to the boys but had a feeling that they were staring at Alex in envy she smiled. Her sudden act of public display of affection was not like her but then again Alex had been her first boyfriend. She felt excellerated as she had done that. And it seemed that Alex had liked it as well. As they walked and he placed his arm around her waist she smiled and looked up at him. "Well lets get going"

As they drove she soflty put her hand on his leg and then relaxed. As they made it she looked up at Alex and then sat down on the blanket Then leaned into him as he pulled her closer. "Yes I agree" She lightly kissed his lips then wraped his arm around her and stroked them. "The leaves look so preety at this time"

Alex held her to him moving a hand up and down her back. "Yes they do." he said. "To bad here shortly the snow will be falling and it will be to cold to be out here like this." But that would mean being snuggled up together on the couch or in his bed. He would like that. He enjoyed holding her close.

Looking out over the city things looked quite bright for him. "Now my dear what do you want to do for the rest of the afternoon and night before we have to sleep?" He didn't feel like going home yet he didn't want her to get chilled as the air was begining to get colder.

Dani sighed softly as he ran ahand up and down her back and breathed in the scents of the air and of Alex she looked up at him. "You gonna take your girl Iceskating?" She giggled. "And sledding" She winked. "Then we could cuddle by the fire nursing eachothers wounds and getting nice and warm" She leaned up and kissed his cheek softly.

"I just want to be with you Alex, anything with you and my day will end perfectly just like you" She brought his hand to her lips and kissed it lightly then let it rest on her face. "I just dont want to go home yet, we dont have much homework since that project is done" She looked up at him and smiled "Did you see the students face when we handed it in so early"

"Iceskating?" he chuckled. "Now that sounds like fun. Sledding too eh." he could not help but laugh. "I think we can find the right places to do that this winter. Plenty of hot chocolate with marshmellows and a nice roaring fire in a fire place." When she said she didn't want to go hom yet he smiled. But what could they do. They could stay there for a bit more but it was becoming colder and soon they would have to leave.

"Now what can we go and do for a couple hours or so." he asked her. He had no idea of what would be good. But he did want to spend time alone with her. He chuckled when she mentioned the students in their class when they turned in their assignment. "I think Mrs Smith's face was the most priceless. " Their teacher was very surrprised, at how fast they had gotten it done and the content.

At the sound of his chuckling she was almost hurt, but then smiled. "Well I just want to get out and enjoy it and seeing you on iceskates is something I just have to see" She teased then kissed his lips softly more of a tease kiss then a true kiss. At the idea of hotchocolate by a roaring fire sounded so romantic. "And cant forget the chic flicks" She teased "You know Gone with the wind, Legally blonde, Devine secreats of the ya ya sisterhood, The notebook"

With each name she was turning red from trying to keep a straight face, her body shook in a silent laughter but she went on just to see how much Alex would react 'Never been kissed, fried green tomatoes” She then got a wicked looked in her eyes “Vagina monolgues” She then lost her battle with keeping her composer and laid down beside in a fit of laughter. She looked up at him with a twinkle in her eyes. “I couldn’t resist”

She looked up at the sky and tried to regain her composer. “For now” She said between giggles and gasps “I want to watch the sunset wrapped in your arms and then I think some dinner would be good” She loooked up at him waiting to see his toughts of her movie choices and of her other plans.

All in all her life was good now ,she couldn’t remember the last time she had laughed so hard that it had taken her breath away and had caused her to collaspe but it felt good she grinned up at Alex. “So you like my idea my love?”

He listened to what she was saying and raised a brow when she began spouting off Chick Flicks. He had never watched such movies. He liked adventure, fantasy, Science Fiction and the like. He saw her turned red and begin laughing. He shook his head, he could see she was making fun of him to some degree. He pulled her between his legs and wrapped his arms around her as he leaned his back against a tree. It was good to hear her laughing and seeing her enjoying life.

He chuckled. "One Beautiful Autumn Sunset coming up." he told her as the sun began to slowly sink into the west. The colors were fantastic and it was just a beautiful site "Well it is a good idea. Though I am not sure if I will be good at ice scatting. Now sitting by the fire, drinking hot chocolate, with you in my arms. Now that I think I can do quite well."

Dinner? Hmmmmm he was going to take her out to a nice place to eat. He took out his phone and called home to let his mother know what he was planning. Then told Dani, "I know a good place to eat. Nice and quite, and kind of romantic." he kissed the side of her face.

Dani grinned. “I am just kidding Alex I wont make you watch those movies. In truth I havent been able to watch a movie in a long time, cant sit still that long” She used to watch horror movies with her father and brother, then they would play pranks on each other. After watching Texas Chain saw massacue for example he snuck into her brothers room and stood in the middle of his room and turned on the Chain saw, Dustin had freaked out and Dani had laughed her head off. But that is the way that they were playing pranks on one another. She sighed in memory of her father.
Then as Alex moved her over she lightly kissed his cheek then smiled and relaxed in his arms. “Can you belive its Autum already?” She sighed. Then while in his arms she watched athe sun set with all the beautiful colours it was an amazing sight.

She giggled at him saying no to iceskating “Well the whole point of warming by a fire is that you have to get cold first…its only warming up if you freeze your ass off first” She smiled and lightly kissed his lips. “Plus I am sure you would enjoy stripping the cold wet clothes off of me”

At the sound of dinner her stomach grumbled. “Well I think my stomach is saying its nearly supper time”

When the sun had gone down, he stood up and helped Dani up and made their way to his car. The restaraunt he wanted to take her was a quiet place that was not to expensive and the atmosphere was fantastic. It was called The Garden. It was made to look as if you were in a garden with flowers, trees and other plants Candles were lit on every table to give it a night time look so no matter what time of day you were there, it was a candle lit dinner. It was a place that his father had took his mother and him a couple times.

"I think you will like where I am taking you." he grinned as he drove them to the restaraunt. Once there he helped her out of the car and took her inside. Just inside the door a woman looked at them and smiled and grabbed two menus and had them follow her to a table just for two. Soft music filled the air. He helped her into her chair then sat down opposite her.

Dani had enjoyed watching the sunset while in Alex’s arms she leaned against him and smiled. Her hands softly carrased his arms and she watched the sun completely set. Another day done another day made better by Alex. He had been her saviour and it seemed as if she had been his, they both had come into each others lives at the right moment. Both needed each other, both made the other strong and that is the way she liked it.

As he helped up she grinned and kissed his cheek softly then walked with him to the cat are was excited to see where he was taking her. As they got there she looked around. “Wow Alex this is lovely” She smiled again and took his hand and once they were seated she looked over at Alex and took his hand again. “Well you do know the best places around town” She grinned “What would you recommend on the menu here?”

Alex shugged his shoulders as he picked up his menu. "I have no idea what to order." he grinned. "I will leave that up to you. But everything here is good." He scanned the menu and made his decision. When the waiter came to see what they wanted to drink, "I think tea will have to do." he grinned again. Both him and Dani would not be able to order wine for a few more years.

He waited on Dani to make her decision on what she would like. He looked over at her and just still could not believe that she was actually his girl friend. He had a strange feeling as he looked at her. As if someone was standing next to him. He looked around and saw no one, but he got a warm feeling like he did when his father was around. Both his father and her father knew each other and he wondered if the two of them were watching over them. He could picture the two bringing the two of them together from the other side.

Looking over her menu Dani smiled and picked what she wanted and thanked the waitress. She smiled as Alex ordered her a tea. She had a feeling that he was thinking the same thing she was, that they would have to wait awhile before they would be allowed to have wine or any other alcholic drink. She knew many other military brats started to drink early but it was never a temptation for her. Maybe because she felt as if she had to be strong for her brother but right now that didn’t matter she wanted to focus on her and Alex. “Mmmm that sounds good after a autum night” She reached over and touched his hand.

She noticed him look behind him and raised an eyebrow. She nodded, it was the way that she had felt many times before. “You feel it too?” She nodded. “I really think our fathers had something to do with us metting, it was just too chancy.” She squeezed his hand. “I love you Alex and I really think that our fathers helped this meeting I mean with me so close to losing all hope, and you with your nightmares,” She bit her bottom lip “Yes I think our fathers are still looking out for us”

He smiled when she seemed to read his mind about their fathers. It was the only explanation that seemed plausable. Meeting out of the blue, and being able to get along like they had, helping each other out with their problems. As she took his hand he to squeezed her hand. The last nine weeks had been something else for him. He did not think school would have been the same with out her in his life. Certainly his life outside of the school would have been vastly different.

When the waiter returned with their drinks he told him what he wanted from the menu and then put it down and awaited Dani's order. He thought back to when his father and mother had brought him to the restaraunt. He knew that his father had taken his mother there often. It had been their favorite spot to go. When he had been taken there he had fallen in love with the place. He grinned as he thought how he would probably be bringing Dani there as often as he could, something perhaps his father wanted him to do.

Dani couldn’t keep her eyes off of Alex, she wondered how he would go for a girl like her. But with their father’s working for them from the beyond she supposed that anything would make sense. Her father did have a sense of humour. She knew that if it wasn’t for Alex she would have slipped deaper into her depression but with Alex she had come out of that and had gained self confidence and selfesstem.

As the waiter came she thanked him for the drinks then gave her order. Then smiled again at Alex. ‘You know if you keep feeding me like this they will need a forklift to take me across that stage” She was joking of course, Dani could eat anything and not gain an once but she just wanted to tease Alex and see if he knew how to get out of the hole that she had dugged for him.

Alex only smiled and squeezed her had again. He sat there for a few minutes in silence just looking at her. "I don't think you could ever gain that much my dear." They still had the rest of the school year to get through and then he would definately have to start looking for a job. His father had set money aside in a trust for him, using money he got from investments. But that would run out one day and he had to get some kind of job. Especially if he was going to take care of Dani after they graduated.

There were a couple places he was intrested in working at, but they were nothing like that of being in the army. He still kind of missed it. The comradeship with the other squad members, trusting them to watch your back as they trusted him to watch theirs. Yeah it was a dangerous one, at the moment anyways. He knew a few NCO's that were making the Army a Career, would stay in for 20 years or more. But now that he had Dani he didn't think he could put her through that.

Dani grinned. “Ohhh someone has trained you well my love.” She squeezed his hand again. She had teasiling set him up but he had recovered himself very well. She nodded again “Well I guess I am lucky when it comes to that” She took a sip of her tea and looked upon Alex. She could tell that he was lost in thought. She had seen the look in his eyes before, when he missed the army she chewed the inside of her cheek slightly. She would support Alex in what ever choice he made, but it would be hard to see him get on that bus. But this time she would have his mother to help her remain strong.

Dani allowed him to remain lost in thought for a few minutes then reached acrossed the table and brought his hand to her lips and kissed it softly. Then brought it to her cheek. “You have been daydreaming a lot latly Alex, are you okay?” She smiled at him. “You can tell me anything my love I will be here, no matter what I will always love you”

"Oh just thinking of a couple job opportunities I am going to check out. Once school is out I will definately have to get a job." he grinned. He was not wanting to worry her about him thinking of the good times he had in the Army. There were good times, but also those times, those memories, that would be with him fro the rest of his life, that he wished he could forget. But to forget them would mean to forget those that had fallen, and he was not about to do that. They fell for their country, for the way of life America held dear. Thought the memories were painful, and upsetting at times, he never wanted to forget those men.

Their food finally arrived and Alex tore into his. He was hungry and everything was so delicious. When he had finished his meal he sat back feeling satisfied with the meal. He looked across the table at Dani. "What are your plans for after graduation?" he asked her.

Dani raised an eyebrow in his direction and cocked her head to the side. She could feel something between them but she didn’t want to bring it up instead she reached across the table again and held his hand and chewed her bottom lip. She knew she had seen that look before. Many times in her father when he missed his comrads. She know was seeing the exact same look in Alex’s eyes. She could tell that he missed his friends, maybe even felt guilty for getting out saftly before the tour was over. And she also knew that Alex and beeen quickly lifted out of that life. Proabably too quickly, had he recived any debriefing to come back to civilian life? Maybe Alex was worried about how she would react, to feel abandoned again but she was stronger now, Alex had made her stronger.But she didn’t want to ruin their date so she kept silent about it.

As the food arived Dani laughed about how quickly Alex ate and shook her head, “My love I am not going to try and steal your food” She giggled again and ate her food not as quickly but enjoyed food she then leaned back and smiled at Alex. “Well since I was able to snag the best looking man in the county I am thinking of just laying in bed all day with him”

She kept a straight face as long as she could then burst into giggles. She paused then looked up at him “Really I want to see if I can get a job in the local VA, you know give back” She trailed off. “I know that is nothing like what they or you or….or…or our fathers went through but….but I want to do it! What do you think?”

He chuckled when she said she would like to just lay in bed with him all day. He knew she was joking, but that was something he would not mind doing. When she said she would not mind getting a job at the VA, he smiled warmly. "I think you would be a great help to all those that return home. They need an understanding person to talk to and understand what they have gone through." he told her and squeezed her hand.

Though he was a Vet and intitled to VA help he had not actively sought it out. The VA was paying for his doctor's visits. But he didn't go for any of their other programs.

Seeing that they were both done. He signaled the waiter and got the bill and then helped Dani up and slipped an arm about her as they made their way to the cashier. He paid for their meal and then took her out to the car. "A few more days and we will be joining your brother and Debbie for the hot tub party." he grinned.

Dani smiled as he chuckled seemed he had a vision of them laying in their bed all day but they both also knew that they would have to do something once graduated. She had liked how the VA had helped her father inbetween tours and they had helped Dustin get the help that he needed and offered her help but she had felt as if she had to look strong so she had denyed herself the help, but now she wanted to help other people that were in the same place that she was.

As they left Dani grinned. "That was lovely Alex" She laughed about the hot tub. "You are just dying to see me in that bathing suit arent you" She winked. After a few moments she stopped walking and turned around to face him. "Alex, why don't you take part in the activites and the VA?"
