Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver offered a soft laugh and then sighed heavily against his lips as he pushed into her and began his rhythm. His warning didn't go unheard though, despite the pleasure and she understood all too well the revenge some masters took on their slaves afterwards, selling them, or even killing them after the new year had begun. But to be fair, Silver didn't really want to be involved in the revolt, she loved things the way they were, exactly the way they were and she looked forward to being home again. Yes, she would miss her claws, but she didn't need them and everyone knew that. She shook her head and sighed again as she lifted her knees a little higher. No, she didn't want to be a mistress.
A little away from the camp, Mama finally found her peace with her head under her front paws and she began to snooze, still keeping an ear open for anything that didn't belong. It was some time, but she did pick up on something making the grass move and she opened her eyes and lifted her head. She couldn't smell anything as they were upwind of anything that would approach, but she definitely heard it. Pricking her ears up a little higher, Mama sat up and began to look around more carefully. There was definitely something there.
As much as she hated to disturb her Alpha and her whelp while they mated, Mama felt she had no choice. The presence was bothering her and Daniel needed to know. Getting to her feet, she turned about and made back for the camp. Most of the others seemed to have quietened, so at least that was something. She moved around the dying fire and lowered her head under the shelter. She growled low in her throat in apology and nudged Daniel in his back....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel slowly moved in and out of her. His little slave and him had gotten to know each other quite well. It was not uncommon but rare at times for a slave and Master to be like they were. He had told her at the begining he did not want to kill her wild spirit, and he had not. He had done the opposite and more or less feed that side. Mama came up growling a warning and it was not at a good time. But he could never fault her for such a thing. She guarded them and let them know danger was close. "Alright Mama, I understand." Daniel increased his pace, hoping to satisfy Silver and himself before what ever was coming got there.
The Male Sleen slowly approached where the scent he had caught had been. He sniffed the ground smelling it and taking in a deep breath and the scent as well. The scent went off towards the human camp and he could not understand why, unless she was hunting them. He followed, slowly again emmiting a low growl, one that would be familiar.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
When Mama interrupted them, Silver growled low in her throat and would have happily swiped at the sleen for such an intrusion, but she knew as well as Daniel did that Mama would not do this unless she had to. And so, feeling him pick up the pace, Silver cried out softly and tensed her muscle to help him along and she clung to him then as she lifted her hips. She quickly felt her climax rising to take her and she held onto Daniel tighter still.
In understanding, Mama backed up again from the shelter and turned about to wait for Daniel to finish. She kept her ears trained on the presence and felt it come closer to the camp. She growled low in her throat then and moved around the fire to take up a defensive stance against the intruder. She lifted her tail and began swishing it back and forth, showing that she was ready to defend her position and she then roared at the intruder. The noise brought many of the men from the shelters and they picked up sticks from the fire so they could see further.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel's faster pace was making him get closer to his release. "Seems like everything is against us tonight." he chuckled and began ramming his cock up inside her until he finally held himself there releasing his load up inside her, and growling out his satisfaction.
The Male now could see the She Sleen in the glow of the human's camp fire. It was her and when she roared out her challange he knew it was indeed her. He roared back but with a different tone to it. It was not a challange, but one of recgonition. It then saw the humans emerg from their portable caves and take up flaming brands. That he did not fear. But he wondered why she was taking a defensive stance and challanging him. Was she not hunting them?

Everything was against them indeed! As Daniel climaxed and held her still as his seed spilled into her, Silver cried out, but was left just short of her own release. She heard Mama roar at the coming intrusion and she growled in her throat. But then came a returning roar and Silver it stopped Silver's heart entirely. Daniel was still buried deep within her and under any other circumstance, she would have let him stay there, but this was too important.
Shoving Daniel away roughly, Silver scrambled from beneath him and shot out of the shelter. It was only a few seconds after hearing the returning sound and Mama was already bounding off towards it. Silver ran after her mother, dropping down on her fours and she quickly gave chase. Silver's human family tried to stop her going, but she just pushed them aside and bolted through the grass.
Mama made it to her former mate first and she barrelled into him, knocking the large male right off his feet. Silver was seconds later and she leapt into the fray also and the trio went tumbling through the grass. At first, being hit by not just his mate, but his whelp too, was unexpected and a huge surprise. Silver howled and yelped in happiness and surprise, as did Mama and it caused quite the scene at the camp. No-one could see what was causing the noise, but it was disturbing them. One of the men turned to Daniel with fear and uncertainty in his eyes. "Your girl went off with the sleen." He said.....

Daniel knew she had gone off with Mama. The way she had left the shelter and hearing the roar of another sleen was not a good sign. But after a few moments the sounds were not of fighting. It sounded more like when Silver and Mama were reunited. Daniel immediately dressed and belted on his sword and picked up his shield. He had no idea of what was going on out in the tall grass but he was about to find out for himself. He began moving towards the sounds ready for trouble.
The male sleen saw her comming and he was knocked over by Mama. He rolled around on the ground with her, happy to find his mate. Then something else hit him and he found that it was the strange whelp Mama had taken in. He frolliced and enjoyed the reunion. But then he smelled a human approaching and got to his feet and growled meanising.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver frolicked and played with her father as the family was reunited again. It reminded her of the reunion with her mother not too long ago. But then Mama and Silver smelled Daniel coming as did her father and the tone changed very quickly. Mama backed up towards Daniel and grunted at her mate that this human was safe. Silver did the same and then oddly, she started to rub her folds over the grass to cover them in Daniel's smell. She was showing her father that the human was her mate and her Alpha. And to show it further, as Daniel got close enough to see them all, she crawled to him and put her head down at his feet. She grunted and growled the whole time and then gave a long whine at Daniel's feet, which Mama then copied. Silver looked up at Daniel and shook her head, "Drop the blade." She said quietly, "And the shield. He won't hurt us, he won't hurt you." She smiled with joy, "My father has returned to us, my love."......

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel saw Mama and Silver playing with the male sleen and as it got up, Silver came to him and put her head down at his feet and Mama backed up to protect him. When silver explained who it was he smiled. Just like a male to seek out its mate. He squated down and drove his sword into the ground and laid his shield next to it. He looked at the large male sleen waiting for it to either except him or challange him.
The Male Sleen regarded Mama and Silver and noted what Silver did. Evidently the human was clearly her alpha and his mate was protecting the human so evidently she considered him safe and not a threat or she would have torn him apart. He sniffed the air getting Daniel's scent and snorted. A human as part of the pack? Well he knew Silver was not a regular sleen even if she acted like one. He had accepted Silver becasue Mama had and protected her. Now it seemed she had taken another under her protection. He wanted his mate back and if he had to accept the human then he would do so.
He moved slowly up to Mama, licking her face and laid down on the ground. Daniel smiled and chuckled as he helped Silver up to her feet and held her. "Well now Family is Family I guess. Now this should be interesting when we get back. The Pack there has his young running with it." Indeed it seemed like this was going to be an interesting reunion.
He picked up his sword and sheathed it and his shield but placed it on his back. "Come, lets get back to camp. I hope you and Mama can keep him from wanting your people as a meal."

Silver smiled lovingly, but she didn't stay on her feet as it soon made her father agitated, so she ducked back down again and lowered her head some as the huge male embraced his mate again by licking her face and neck. He then moved to Silver and started sniffing and licking her too, getting closer to Daniel, but not too close just yet. Silver smiled and craned her neck some for him to lick her and embrace her properly. "I don't think there will be too much of a problem." She laughed as the male's tongue tickled some. "So long as they don't get too close to him while he and Mama are bonding."

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel shook his head. "I wonder if he knows he interfeared with ours." he chuckled and said, "Come on they can stay out here and bond for awhile. We need to get some sleep. Tommorow will be another long day of walking." Oh how he wished he had Wind Strike. Him and Silver would have been home by now. But her people, a new race, had to be protected and could not be left alone on the Plains.
He looked at the big male sleen, "I am sure Mama will keep you from doing anything bad. We have a ways to go and I am sure you and I will get to know each other better." He waited for Silver to rise to her feet and go with him. They would have to tell those in camp what was going on.
Indeed in the next couple of days, him and the male he began calling Papa began getting to know each other. Just like Mama at the begining he, kept a distance but slowly came closer and closer. As they walked on the third day, he was at Daniel's side up front where the leader of the pack should be. Now and then he would brush up against Daniel and Daniel would stroke his fur. It seemed he had been accepted into the Pack by the Alpha.
Daniel then wondered, now that her mate and Alpha was back, what did that make him in her eyes. Soon Papa would be in control of the combined pack and Mama would be his mate yet. Silver's people kept their distance but didn't seem to fear Papa and Papa regarded them with something of a kin to being part of the pack. It seemed he senced their likeness to Silver and that there was something sleen about them.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver laughed also and nodded, "I spread enough in the grass to prove it." She chuckled and then finally got to her feet. The male instantly growled at her and flicked his tail. Silver cocked her head and growled back, but the male didn't back down. He stamped his front paw and nodded. He wanted her down where she belonged. Silver crouched down again and looked up at Daniel with a small shrug. "It's gonna take him a while to understand that I'm not sleen like he is. He's only ever seen me walk like a human once and he beat me worse than Mama did, He'll come around... eventually." She then turned about and trotted away until she was out of sight of her father. Only then did she stand up again and walk.
Over the next couple of days, Silver eased her father into the reality that she had to walk like a human, but it was clear he still didn't like it. Still, he tolerated it and soon enough and now renamed Papa, the male began to include himself more into the strange pack of his mate and adopted offspring, and the strange people that looked so much like his whelp. Things turned from an uneasy truce between them all to quite a close knit family and it wasn't long before Papa was binding with Daniel. Of course, he still considered himself Alpha and he would make that clear shortly, but he didn't see a problem with Daniel being his second in command, especially seeing as he and his whelp were a mated pair. As they walked, he didn't know where they were going, but the mountains got bigger, so he assumed they were heading in that direction.
Stopping for the last time before reaching the mountains, and while the silver humans and his whelp were setting up the camp, Papa started nudging at Daniel to go with him. He snorted and pushed Daniel away from the others. He was about to get the sleen equivalent of the father-daughter's boyfriend speech. Taking Daniel a good ways from the camp, Papa then started sniffing around in the grass and he let his massive backside slap down onto the ground. He grunted at Daniel to do the same and snorted, flaring his wide nostrils at the other male.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
They were close now, the mountains loomed before them. All they had to do was skirt the eastern edge and to the north and they would be home. Then Papa nudged Daniel and moved off a distance from the camp being set up. Daniel followed. wondering what he was wanting. He then sniffed the ground and sat down looking at Daniel. Daniel squated down and looked at Papa. "Now what is it you want Papa?" Daniel asked.
Daniel knew that Papa was an Alpha and would want to be the dominet sleen in any pack. Daniel had been the Alpha for Mama and Silver for some time now, and now that Papa had found Mama, it was evident that she considered Papa the Alpha, though she regarded Daniel with a keen respect and a motherly outlook.
Papa regarded Daniel and began by growling and using one of his large paws to pound the ground. Daniel smiled and said to him, "Don't worry old boy, when we get home there will be a pack ready for you to take control of and they will be all yours. I don't need to be the Alpha of the pack, but here on the plains and with the people with us, I must lead. Once we are home and you have the Pack there under your control, we can be friends and help each other."

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Papa couldn't possibly understand what Daniel said exactly, but he knew the intent well enough and he nodded in agreement. However, that wasn't entirely what he wanted to speak to the human about. Getting up off his backside, he moved to Daniel and pushed him over onto his back. He then moved over Daniel and stared down at him and he thumped the ground again before nodding his head to the camp. He wanted to talk about Silver and what should be expected of this strange pair. As far as he knew, Silver was his only surviving whelp and he expected Daniel to make something of that.
Pounding the ground once again, he snorted at Daniel then, letting some of his drool reach the man's cheek before he lifted his head to find Mama loping over to them both. She licked her snout and then grunted at both males before nodding her head to the camp. Just then, the smell of cooked meats drifted their way. Mama had come to tell them dinner was ready. Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel got up from the ground and chuckled. It would probably take him time to understand the sleen and for them him. Like dogs on earth, he figured that they could understand words once they associated them with what the humans were talking about. He returned to camp and ate and then retired to his shelter with Silver. "So you like having Papa back with Mama? I wounder what he will make of the super Pack at Sadar. Some of those I think are his and Mama's off spring."
The next day a single tarnsman could be seen flying high above. He dropped down low and flew over them. Daniel raised his arm and hand in a sign of greeting and the Tarnsman turned his tarn back to them and landed a bit off. Daniel went out to greet the Tarnsman. When he saw who Daniel was the man grinned from ear to ear and saluted him. "It is good that you have returned. Once again Sadar will be in need of you."
"What has happened?" Daniel asked.
"Cos has landed an army on the coast, farther south then one would have expected. It is marching north along the coast and it is a massive army. Ar is encamped to the east of Sadar. Ar Station, Port Cos and those loyal to them have begun mmassing their troops."
Daniel nodded. He had figured that Cos was not going to take losing Port Cos laying down. "Return to Sadar and send us the fastest Tharlions that we have. I have returned with people that will need a home and can not leave them here." The man nodded and was soon off, flying back north with news of Daniel's return.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver ate quickly, stealing a few morsels before Daniel returned to the camp and then served him as always. Mama and Papa ate also before they left to recover their long lost bond somewhere in the tall grasses. When Daniel retired for the night, Silver followed him into the shelter and made sure he was comfortable. This would be their last night away from home, she hoped for a while at least.
The morning came to the sound of a tarn flying over them and Silver quickly exited the shelter to see the giant bird fly over them and turn again. Daniel had signalled the rider and then went out to meet him. Silver looked out over the grass as the rider and Daniel greeted each other. The rider was from Sadar. She couldn't hear what was being said, but Daniel's body language said it was nothing good. Silver felt she would be needing her claws again very soon and she sighed almost with disappointment. If she needed her claws, they weren't going home.
As the others emerged from their shelters, Silver went about getting everything in order and packed up. She saw the tarn take off again and Daniel came back to the camp. She stood up as she finished rolling up the shelter. "We're not going home yet, are we." She said almost sadly.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
"We are going home." he told her. "What comes, comes to us there." They would continue to walk until the Tharlion arrived. He informed her people of what was going to be coming and they were excited. They would be home, their home soon. He put an arm about Silver letting his hand rest on her ass. Indeed they would be home soon but they would be fighting yet again. That was the way of Gor as well.
They began moving again to close the distance between them and the Tharlion comming. But it seemed that things were not going to be as quiet as it had been or that they hoped it would be. A couple hours into their daily journey, five other tarns were spotted. These came from the west and south. They were not from Sadar. This time Daniel did not signal them, he unsheathed his sword and brought his shield to his left arm.
"Take Mama and Papa and the people and run." he told Silver. "This time do not stay and fight, protect your people. Get them to Sadar." It was a command. He then moved off towards the on coming ttarnsmen. They saw him and decended. But they did not land nor did they throw spears, but the came with nets. This was something Daniel was not prepared for. He could dodge or use his shield to deflect spears. The nets touched the ground and the tarns were out of range of his sword. Before he knew it he was caught up in one and lifted high into the air.
(what is she going to do now that he has been captured.)

He could dodge or use his shield to deflect spears. The nets touched the ground and the tarns were out of range of his sword. Before he knew it he was caught up in one and lifted high into the air.
(what is she going to do now that he has been captured.)

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver nodded as she packed up the rest of the things and loaded them into the tharlion. "At least we will be home." She said as she quickly piled dirt onto the fire pit and picked up the things she couldn't tie to the Tharlion. Around her, the others began to smile and chat among themselves about what awaited them in Sadar. Silver knew most of the men would find work there with whatever skills they had, but she feared for the women. They wouldn't stay free for very long, but it didn't seem to bother them as they were already planning on learning all they could from Silver so they could please the men that seemed to have chosen them.
They began their walk in the usual way and Silver smiled as she felt Daniel's hand come to rest on her backside. He had a thing about her ass and her breasts, he was always touching or caressing them, especially when he was making love to her. The distance was closing and she knew that soon, they would be greeted by Sadar riders and Daniel would signal the Priest Kings to return Wind Strike to him. Then they would be heading into another fight. She wondered if he would unleash her again like he had done in Port Cos, or in the Kurii's mountain. Then it all went so wrong again.
On the horizon, Silver spotted wings coming at them, but they weren't coming from Sadar. Silver instantly felt in danger and it was confirmed seconds later when Daniel unsheathed his blade and brought his shield up. He told her to run, to get her people and her parents back to Sadar. She shook her head at first, "I won't leave you!" She shouted, but he gave a command and she had to obey. The others had already began running and Mama was quickly nudging Silver to leave. She had no choice.
The nets thrown down by the tarnsmen missed them, but one caught Daniel and Silver looked back to see him being lifted off the ground by one of them. "No!" She yelled, "Daniel, no!" The others kept running, but Silver stopped and turned back to try and retrieve her beloved Master. She pulled her claws from her belt and tied them on as she ran. "You give my Master back!" She roared, but she was too late. The tarns had already turned about and were heading back the way they came.
The other silvers kept running until they came across the Tharlion sent from Sadar and they were quick to tell the riders of all that had happened. Their saviour had been stolen and his woman was chasing after them with two sleen. Of course, Mama and Papa were hardly about to let their whelp run off alone and get herself killed now, were they. The message was quickly relayed back to Sadar through the signal fires and it wasn't long before Arcius arrived with his squad of tarns. He landed and immediately addressed the oldest man of the silver haired people. It was strange looking at him as he looked so much like Silver did.
"What do you mean he was taken?" He asked the silver man quickly.
The other man nodded, "By Tarns, Sir." He said, "They threw nets down and carried him off. His woman, Silver, she went after him with the sleen." He pointed back to where he had last seen the tarns and Silver running after them.
"Which way did they come from?" Arcius asked.
"From the south and west." The man said.
Arcius firmed his jaw as he thought on what to do. He nodded to the silver haired man, "Thank you." He said before nodding to the Tharlion riders, "Go with these men into Sadar. You will be taken care of and given temporary accommodation until something more permanent can be found."
"Thank you Sir." The silver haired man said with respect and he led the people towards the Tharlion and their riders.
Going back to his Tarn, Arcius got back in the saddle and waved his hand at his fellow riders, "We head South!" He yelled, "Our commander has been kidnapped."
"How do we track them?" Asked one of his riders.
Arcius firmed his jaw, unable to quite believe he was about to say this, "We follow Silver." He said, "She is already tracking them. Sound the horn for the pack to follow us and hope we get there before anything happens to Daniel."
"The commander can protect himself." Said another of his tarnsmen, "He can hold them off until we get there."
"It's not the commander I'm worried about." Arcius said, "It's Silver." Once again, he couldn't quite believe he'd just said that, but he'd seen what happened when she got pissed. It still haunted him.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel struggled in the net but soon stopped. He was to high to escape the net with out a chance of falling to his death. He could only wait until they arrived at the tarnsmen's destination and try to fight his way free. But he knew his chances were very slim of that, especially when he saw the tarnsmen were from Cos. So close to home and to be netted like a wild animal.
The riders got the silver haired people up on tharlions and headed back to Sadar as fast as they could. The horn was sounded and the sleen came running. They followed two riders back to where the attack had been and as they got there familiar scents were picked up. One of the sleen from Mama's pack picked up her scent and looked confused, but then picked up Silver and another he had not smelled in a long time. He gave a howl and others came to sniff the ground and then him and those of Mama's pack were off running with the others following. It was a large pack now containing at least 14 Sleen.
The time between the attack and the sleen returning had been hours but they ran only stopping to sniff the ground some and be off again. The Cos Tarnsmen flew high and fast back the way they had come. They could fly faster then the sleen could run. They needed to stop and rest a bit before pressing on, the Tarns didn't. They reached the sprawling encampment of Cos warriors well be for the sleen could. It had trenches dug, wood palacade in place with guard towers evenly spaced, Tharlion patrols making its rounds about the perimeter of the Palacade. Out at sea was a number of ships anchored.
Mean while further south a band of warriors with some slave girls were making their way north and were spotted by another tarn patrol. The tarns landed and demanded to know who they were. "I am Toranto, and this is my company of free warriors."
The leader of the Tarnsmen smiled. "Ah fighting men, we can use more if you care to join us. We go to wipe out a troublesome place called Sadar. They have angered the Ubar of Cos and will pay for it."
Toranto did not let on he knew of Sadar. "If the pay is good, I see no reason to pass up an opportunity. Inform who you must that we will be approaching. How far to your encampment?"
"You should reach it by the tommorow." The tarnsman said. Toranto nodded and began moving north again as the tarnsmen flew off.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
As Silver, Mama and Papa raced across the open plains, heading back South and West, it didn't take Silver long to figure out the tarnsmen were from Cos. Her logic was simple. Daniel had been key to them losing Port Cos and no doubt the Ubar was highly pissed about that. It troubled her how they knew it was Daniel they had taken, or where to find him considering their journey South had been done in secrecy. Still, for the moment, Silver concentrated on finding her beloved mate and Master. She would deal with the rest of it later.
Unlike the tarn that could soar for up to a day without having to rest, she and her sleen parents had no choice. Their rest breaks weren't for very long and Silver was up front the entire time, outpacing both her parents, her resolve and determination that solid, to find Daniel and bring him back home again. She had never ran so far and so fast, but it didn't show on her. By nightfall though, Silver was exhausted and so were her parents. They had to rest for the night. Silver didn't want to, but her limbs simply refused to obey her any longer and she collapsed by her panting parents and passed out.
Dawn arrived the next morning and Silver was already making more headway with her parents close behind her. They ran flat out most of the morning, but by noon, the exhaustion was setting in again and Silver stopped for a while by a lake to take water and perhaps an easy water urt or three for a meal. Shortly after mid afternoon, Silver and Mama began to spot movement in the distance. At first, they were simply black dots in the sky, but Silver knew better and it wasn't long before no less than five tarns flew overhead. Silver ducked right into the tall grass and all the tarnsmen saw were two sleen migrating through the open plains. After checking the tarns had returned to wherever they came from, Silver started running again in their direction. She had to be getting close now, surely.
About three hours into her run and just before evening was about to set in, she picked up a familiar scent on the winds and she slowed to a gentle trot before stopping entirely. She knew that smell. Slowly, she stood up in the grass and looked around. It still gave her almost perfect camouflage and she was able to watch a band of warriors making their way to the same destination. She recognised the scent immediately. With darkness looming, she knew they would be setting camp soon. The first and only thing that entered her head at that moment, was food and the particular man she could smell would make an excellent meal.
She remembered vaguely that Daniel had called him a good man and a friend, but if that was truly the case, why was he heading to the place of Daniel's enemy? He could not have known Daniel had been kidnapped, so that left only one other possibility in her mind. He was heading to Cos for work, not Sadar as he had said he would. Toranto had lied and for that crime, it put him and his men right on the menu.
Signalling to her parents, Silver began to move in on the camp site, staying downwind of the men and low in the grass. They would eventually see Mama and Papa, but they would never see her, not in the grass and not in the fading light. An easy hunt before the final push to the Cos warriors that had kidnapped her beloved......

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Acruis flew over the plains and spotted two sleen. It was hard for him to determine if it was Mama, especially with another sleen. No where was there a sign of Silver though. "Find him little she sleen, find him for us, for the people of Sadar. He mumbled, "and bring him home. He then turned his tarn back and the others with him did likewise. They would soon be hitting patrol zones of Cos and they would not stand a chance against a large force of tarns.
Toranto finally was getting close to the encampment of Cos. Over head there were constant tarn patrols that circled and flew back north. Their progress was probably being reported. The finally made camp themselves and would be at the Cos encampment sometime the next day. The tents were set up and campfires made. The evening meal was being prepared by the slaves.
"Tommorow we arrive at the encampment of the Army of Cos." Toranto told his men. "I want each and everyone of you to mingle with the warriors of Cos and find out what information you can. Everyone of you have had issues with Cos and I know that you would love to see them fail in their attempt to destroy Sadar. Every scrap of information we can gather and get to Sadar will aid them and their allies."
He looked out into the darkness more to the west and sighed. He was getting tired of hiring out his sword. It had been a long time since he had a place to call home. If Daniel's offer was true and sincere he could see himself settling down. He expected his men felt the same way. They had been together along time and had fought many a battle together. In the dim light of the fires he saw the flicker of the light on the eyes of a couple large creatures out there.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver carefully made her way through the grass as Mama and Papa provided her the small distraction she needed to get into the camp and make them scatter. They thought she was simply hunting for food and played along. Hearing the conversation, Silver dipped lower still into the grass and listened with great care. She learned that Toranto and his men were to spy and report back to Sadar of what they had found. She found this incredibly odd considering the events she had witnessed and wondered what the human was up to. Moving in a little closer, but still camoflaged, Silver began to peer through a fine line of grass, her eyes pinned on Toranto and she rolled her shoulders lightly, getting ready to pounce and cause chaos. She was as silent as death himself and just as deadly.....
"I know that look Toranto." one of his men said. "You are thinking of taking his offer and making Sadar your home."
Toranto laughed, "Been doing this way to long, and an offer like his does not come around that offen. Most of you I think have had enough of this life as well. Yes I think I will take Daniel's offer. He can use the information we gather."
Silver continued to listen to what was being said, but she still wasn't entirely convinced of Toranto and his men. She had seen and known too many of his kind to trust them so openly. A mercenary was still just a mercenary, no matter the way one wrapped it. Some ways out still, Mama and Papa began to pace, wondering what their whelp was up to now. They could see her, poised to strike and ready, but she remained still, listening, waiting. Papa began to growl, the sound travelling to the camp and it began to disturb some of Toranto's men. It didn't take a genius to figure out they were being stalked....
Toranto turned towards the dark silouets out in the tall grass. Sleen he guessed, two of them, yet they had not tried anything. They seemed to be pacing and waiting for something. He put his hand up and said, "Just do what you have been doing. They seem to be waiting on something, or some one." he began looking around scanning everything. A flicker of silver caught his eye and he crossed his arms on his chest, and staired where he saw the silver.
But the silver he saw was not the Silver he thought he saw, for she had slowly moved along the edge line and what he saw was just grass reflecting the light of the fire as it became covered in dew. No, Silver was now on Toranto's other side and she ducked yet lower still in the grass as the men became more nervous. Despite his orders, one man slowly stood up and unsheathed his sword. Mama saw this and began to growl also in the darkness, making the warrior turn towards it. "What are they waiting for?" He asked nervously as he tried to see who or what was around them. He even went so far as to shield his eyes some from the firelight, but all he could find were reflected eyes staring back at him....
"Silver." he called out, "Come out. Where is your master Daniel Campbell?" He knew she was there. He suspected Mama was out there but was not sure of the other sleen." He went to the one warrior and placed his hand on the man's shoulder. "Easy. I know who is out there." But if it was the slave Silver, where was Daniel and why had he not approached.
Silver gave a long, low growl as she moved through the grass in response to Toranto's call and it disturbed his men further. "The slave girl?" His friend asked and then shook his head, "Not possible." He began to spin on the spot, trying to pinpoint the growling, but he couldn't. She was too well camoflaged and far too quick for him to find her. At her growl, Mama and Papa began to approach also and they mimicked her sound perfectly. It now sounded like there were three Silvers, not just one and which one was the true? Silver continued to move around them, staying downwind still. The men became more disturbed and she began to taste the beginnings of fear in their eyes and in their voices as they tried and failed to find her, or her parents......
Toranto smiled and chuckled. She was trying and succeeding in making his men nervous. "Enough Silver. Come into the camp and bring the others with you. I gurentee you will not be harmed. Your master trusted me, so you may as well."
Silver continued to growl and she watched as each man slowly unsheathed his blade and took up his shield. It began to sound like she had surrounded them and in the darkness, it was relatively easy to keep them turning in circles, trying to find the invisible. "I do not obey you." She said finally, making every man turn instantly to where her voice had come from. "And I do not trust you." She continued, her voice coming from a completely different place and they all turned that way immediately. "Your word is nothing to me." Once again, from a different pace and Toranto's men began to turn in various directions then.
"It's a demon." said one.
"A phantom." Said another. Silver had them all on edge and fearful.
"I am far more than that." Silver taunted, "I am the flash of silver that you see in the moments of your death." She had to admit, she was enjoying this somewhat and when Mama and Papa began to circle with her, growling and hissing at Toranto and his men, Silver smiled darkly.....
Toranto drew his sword and stuck it into the ground and laid his shield down and then approached the perimeter of the camp. He stood there showing he was not armed. "Where is your master? Where is Daniel Campbell?" he asked. He was trying to show here he meant her no harm.
Silver was having none of it though and she continued to circle around the edge. In a flash of that silver, she shot through the camp, knocking over one man and leaping over another and they all shouted in fear and shock, unable to believe this could be the meek little silver haired girl that had followed Daniel so obediently. Mama and Papa finally came into sight and the remaining men instantly turned their weapons to them in defense. "Toranto!" One man called, "What the hell if going on?!"
"He is gone." Silver said from the darkness, "Taken from me by your new masters." She was still unseen as yet, taking her time, stalking her prey, gauging Toranto for what he might do next....
"Taken by who?" demanded Toranto. "By Cos?" there was anger in his voice. he turned went back and took his sword up and shield. "Strike camp." he commanded. "Get hold of yourselves men and pack it all up. We have yet another mission."
"What is that." one of them asked.
"To rescue a friend and an honorable man." he said. "Bring you sleen in Silver. You may not want to trust me, but I am the only one that might be able to save your master."
Silver watched from her vantage point as Toranto seemed to get very angry at her revelation. There wasn't even a hint of knowing in his words and actions then and she knew for certain that he was not involved in this. But that didn't mean she would trust him though. "I told you before." She said, standing up from her darkness. The men turned quickly and finally saw the tiny woman in their midst that had caused so much chaos in them. With her claws glinting in the gentle light of the fire and the moon above them, Silver eyed Toranto carefully, "I do not obey you, Toranto, warrior human. I obey only my Master." And just like that, she disappeared again. A rush of wind and sound passed the camp as Mama and Papa followed after their whelp towards the guarded camp of the Cos Warriors. There would be no doubt who would make it there first and Silver intended to cause as much chaos as she possibly could while she was there....
The Cos encampment was no small camp. It had defense ditch all around a palacade made of cut trees. The height of the wooden wall was ten feet with watch towers that were evenly spaced. The ditch was filled with sharp stakes that were stuck into the ground to prevent infantry from reaching the wall. Patrols on Thralion were everywhere along with guards on the inside of the wall on wooden walk ways. That is what meet Silver, Mama and Papa. They would not be able to frighten the soldiers within with their growls, and pacing. They would not be able to jump over the walls and the Tharlion patrols had crossbows, short spears and their swords. There was only one way in and that was the gate and it was closed and only opened when those approaching were recgonized.
Toranto had the camp packed up and was on the move as fast as the Tharlions could carry them. He had wished Silver had listened to him. He could have at least gotten her inside with him and then figured out a way to free Daniel. But she evidently didn't trust him.
The pack had traveled long and hard resting only short periods trying to catch up. About the time that Silver reached the huge Cos encampment the Pack was not far behind.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
It was still dark by the time Silver and her parents reached the Cos camp, but dawn would only be a few ahns away. As they approached, they passed through what would once have been a large copse of trees, but they had all been cut down to make the wooden fortress that they now faced. Silver stared at it through the darkness and took a deep breath. Daniel was just beyond those walls, but how would they get in? Silver laid down in the grass, panting softly with Mama and Papa as she considered the options.
The ditch surrounding the camp was deep and laced with deadly spikes that would prevent any mass assault and the walls were easily high enough to defend against any number of armies. These warriors had thought this out very carefully. Silver regarded the watchtowers carefully, timing their movement between the towers and patrols along the wall. Also, she spotted no less than a dozen tharlion and riders making patrols outside. It gave rise to the knowledge that this camp held a vast number of warriors. And Daniel was somewhere in among all of them. This would take more than a simple distraction. Just then, Silver and Mama caught a scent on the dawn winds and they both turned to face the sleen pack coming their way. Silver found new hope.
After a few ehns of greeting and bonding and another reunion between parents and son, Silver began to reconsider her options again. She could so this. She had to do this. With Toranto and his men still a while behind, she had the opportunity to get things started before he got there. With such a large pack of sleen, one unseen for generations, Silver knew it would provide the perfect ruse for her to get in unseen up the wall and she could then open the gate from inside and unleash her pack on the warriors of Cos. The goal was simple. Rescue the Alpha, Daniel, kill everything else.
Picking a spot on the near side of the gate, Silver signalled to her parents to begin the ruse and the pack began to move into place near the front of the camp. They all started pacing back and forth and growling, showing their eyes in the torches. The patrolling tharlion started becoming spooked and unsteady, forcing the riders to take them closer to the gate and they were quickly brought into the camp and the gates shut again. Many of the guards along the front and near side of the wall went to see the spectacle, nervous of what was happening out there in the silent darkness and when the pack's eyes began to be counted, many of the men began to feel fear. They had never seen so many eyes staring right at them like this before. The growling and hissing told them it was a sleen pack, but they had never seen such numbers of them in one place. Word was quickly passed on to the commander of the camp of what was happening outside the walls and Daniel was left with just one guard while the other two went to bolster the force on the wall. Silver was then presented the chance to slip through the ditch and up the wall. Her claws dug in easily to the sap between the logs and she made it in only few minutes.
The commander arrived to see what was happening and then started shouting his orders to guards to return to their duties, but it was too late. Silver crept alone the palacade, keeping tight to the shadow of the walkway as the soldiers began to pass her again. "By the Priest Kings!" One said out loud, "Have you ever seen anything like it?"
"No, Brother, I have not." Said a second. "There must be more than a dozen of them out there, all pacing at the wall. And the smell!"
The first nodded, "I know. It's like they're right under my nose." Oh, how little he knew! The last thing either of them saw was a flash of steel and silver eyes staring at them as Silver's claws slipped deep into their throats and then out the back of their necks. She smiled at them as their blood flowed down her arms and then retracted her claws. They hit the walkway and she moved on in silence.
At the gate and unaware of the silent killer approaching, two more guards watched the pack carefully. "What are they waiting for?" Asked the first.
The second shook his head, "I know not." He replied quietly.
"Why haven't they moved on? Why are they lingering like this?"
"I know not." Came the reply again. "Perhaps we have encroached on their territory."
"There was no sign of sleen from the scouts." The first one said. "And in such numbers as well. Something is not right here, Brother."
"I agree." Said the second. "Have the rest of the guard check in. I don't like this."
The first nodded, "Yes Sir." And he raised his torch to signal the rest of the wall patrols to respond. He then felt a pang of true fear as only two returned the light on the near side. There should have been eight. And then those two torches dropped within seconds of each other. The alarm was raised, but it was too late. The last thing the two forward guards saw was a flash of silver as the tiny, deadly creature leapt at them, claws gleaming red with blood.
With a clear path and a few seconds of chaos, Silver dropped down from the walkway and moved to the gate. The tharlion there were instantly rearing up at her presence and her scent and then scattered, causing chaos. Silver lifted the near end of the wooden beam block and pulled the gate open. That was what the sleen had been waiting for. With the alarm raised, Silver knew the soldiers would arrive very quickly and she heard their heavy feet and weapons behind her as she pulled the gate as wide as she could. She then turned around slowly to face her enemy and balled her fists tightly, spreading her claws across her tight knuckles.
No less than a hundred soldiers formed a living shield before the tiny silver haired woman covered in their brothers' blood, shields up, weapons drawn. She smiled darkly as Mama and Papa and her littermate came to her flanks, snarling and hissing. "You took someone dear to me." She said to the waiting warriors. "I want him back." Above them, the skies had turned grey with the pending dawn and Silver dipped her chin, letting her silver eyes catch the light of their lingering torches. She tensed her body and sucked in a deep breath. She then let it back out again in an ear shattering roar, lifting her arms out to show her claws and signalling her pack to attack. The camp flooded with wild sleen and the noise was deafening and frightening. It reached far across the plains, disturbing the dawn.
The problem with camps like this one, yes, it was impossible to attack by force and it would withstand almost any siege, but as difficult as it was to get into the camp, it was just as difficult to get out again. The soldiers had literally nowhere to go and as the sleen spread out, killing everything before them, it was clear they would not witness then end of that day.
Still guarding Daniel, the warrior, hearing the noise and death cries of his brothers as they were ripped apart by the sleen, instantly stood up and drew his sword. "What under the Gods!" He said as he moved to the front of the wooden cage that held Daniel. "What is that?" He felt fear in his soul. He'd never heard such a terrifying sound as this before and despite his knowledge of the war sleen that had been used in Port Cos, it was clear many details had been omitted about the true terror of them. He turned to face Daniel, his eyes wide and his neck pulsing as he gripped his sword and shield tightly. "What has been unleashed upon us?"
Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel had been flown to the huge encampment of Cos. He looked down at it from the net he was in and his heart almost stopped. So many tents, warriors, and tarnsmen. He could see at least a thousand Tharlion pened, siege equipment, and supplies that were being unloaded from the ships, seemed to be endless. Daniel then knew fear for sure, not for himself but for the people of Sadar.
Daniel had been informed of the army from Ar and of the forces from their other allies were moving towards Sadar to protect it. Ar had more then a reason to join in. They had been occupied only a few years earlier by Cos after Marcellus had failed in Vosk Delta campain. He had once again rallied the forces and people of Ar and retook Ar making the occupation force to flee. But they had been wanting more to satisfy their desire for revenge.
He imagined, Marcellus would be the one leading the Army. As Ubar of Ar he would want revenge more then anyone. He wondered if he would ever meet the man that he had heard alot about in the time he had been on Gor. As he was thinking and viewing the encampment from above, they decended to the center of the encampment. Here no less then a hundred warriors ringed the landing spot their swords drawn and shields at the ready. There were shoulder to shoulder and a number of ranks deep. It would be impossible for him to fight his way out, but he would die trying and take as many as he could with him.
The net was lowered to the ground and released and Daniel immediate freed himself from it and came on guard, facing the enemy. None rushed him but instead tightened the circle about him, giving him no room to manuver and then he was litterly surrounded by a wall of shields where he could not move. Then something hit him hard on the back of the head. His helmet took most of the blow but it was hard enough for him to go down and the blackness over took him.
He awoke in a tent, All along the walls of the tent were warriors. A slave girl was bathing his face with a cool cloth. Not far from him was a man in royal purple and red, sitting on a throne like chair regarding him. He was not shackled but his sword and shield and helmet were gone.
"Ah you are awake." the man said. "I am Luris of Jad, Ubar of Cos. I see I have the pleasure of the company of Daniel Campbell of Sadar." he grinned and chuckled. "My men only thought that you were perhaps a warrior of Sadar and captured you for questioning. But when you were brought here and one of those that left Port Cos instead of swearing alligence to Darious saw you your identity was revealed."
A slave brought in a platter of food and sat it next to Daniel. "Eat, and drink." Luris motioned with a hand and then took from a platter next to him some spiced meat and ate and then picked up a goblet of wine and sipped it. "Oh to have such a man as a prisoner. The so called Hero of Sadar and the Controler of Sleen. Oh how the people of Cos will love seeing as they pelt you with stones, rotten fruit and spit upon you." Luris laughed.
Daniel did not eat or drink. He looked upon Luris with narrowed eyes and hate in his eyes. So he faced the Ubar of Cos. He was a warrior for sure and one that had not let the life of an Ubar sofen him. He looked fit, strong and no doubt could wield his blade with expert proficency. Daniel looked about the room, judging the distances.
"Oh don't even think of it. My men will have you down before you get a couple of hands distance." Luris rose from his chair. "Rest well Daniel Campbell, for your interigation will soon start and yes you will tell us all you know." he laughed again and left.
He knew that he was to be tortured and made to talk. He would hold out as long as he could and possibly not even give them the satisfaction of getting anything. They did not want him dead, for the Ubar had said he wanted the people of Cos to see him. That meant he would be taken to Cos and that made him smile a bit.
He was well fed and a slave was there for his use if he so desired, but he did not. He could hear the warriors in the encampment, beyond the tent walls as they prepared for war. Luris did not return the rest of that day nor the next and Daniel wondered what he was planning. As the night of the next day came, he heard the alarm raised. That meant they were under attack and it made him smile. The men about him pressed in and soon he found himself shackled and a long chain attacked to his shackles and a metal ring burried deep into the hard ground. A lone guard remained to guard him now, as the others went out to join the battle.
The one hundred men that came forth and formed up against the approaching sleen was just the beginning. They were the reactionary force, used to form a barrier for a breach. The entire encampment was now up in arms. It was still early and none had retired. As the sleen attacked the one hundred did their best to keep them at bay.
Word spread of sleen attacking and of a silver haired human girl leading them. That news told them who it was and they were ready for them. Luris had intended on using his special unit at Sadar when they unleashed the sleen on his army but here would be just as good. The reports of the battle of Sadar and of Port Cos had made it to Cos with all the chilling details. He was ready for them, as were those whose task it was to deal with them.
More warriors arrived to battle the sleen. Two of the sleen had already been killed and as the command was given to fall back the warriors retreated slowly bringing the sleen with them. The trap had been set with speed and precision. As the warriors fighting the sleen retreated beyond a point the nets that had been laid and covered with dirt were quickly lifted, ensaring them. The nets were not just nets made of rope but had sharp metal hooks woven into them that dug in to the hides and caused pain. Only Mama and Papa were not caught as they had sensed something was wrong and had disengaged. More warriors began to arrive and Mama and Papa backed up, growling at Silver to do the same, unless they wished to be captured and possibly killed. Mama pushed on Silver towards the still open gate. They had to retreat or die.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
And once again, it had all gone so terribly, terribly wrong. Silver had been so incensed and so blinkered to her need to get Daniel back that she just didn't see the obvious. The soldiers had been falling by the dozen or more and Silver had been so confident in her skills that she didn't see the subtle shift in the way the soldiers were fighting back. And of course, by revealing herself, the commander would now know it was not Daniel that commanded the wold sleen. It was her.
As the soldiers began to back up, Silver initially made to follow with her sleen, but Mama and Papa suddenly backed off, making her hesitate. The trap was sprung. The edge of the net missed Silver by mere inches and when she saw it appear from under the dirt, she felt her entire world fall apart. The rope was laced with hooks that bit and cut into the sleens' flesh and she heard them howl and roar in pain as they battled to fight the nets. And then she felt Mama pulling her back. Silver didn't want to go and she roared her rage at the soldiers. More soldiers arrived then and Silver was forced to back up with Mama and Papa.
Retreating back to the gate, the soldiers pushed forward with more nets to hand, ready to ensnare them. Silver howled and whined for her pack as she was forced back and away from them. One of the soldiers threw a net at Silver, hoping to capture her, but she turned and it missed, though one of the hooks became embedded in her ankle. The soldier yanked the net towards him for another go, but Silver turned and swiped her claws through the rope. They were sharper than the rope was strong and it was severed with the hook still in her ankle. She with her parents fled the camp and she heard the gate shut firmly behind them. All she could hear then was the howls and cries of her pack and she cried and howled back. She had failed to get Daniel back and she had failed her sleen. It shattered her heart and only a short distance from the camp, less than a league, she collapsed in the dirt and screamed her anguish.
Mama was the first to come to her and she sniffed carefully at Silver. Papa then came to her and stood over her, growling with disappointment. Mama snapped at him and he backed off briefly, but then both sleen noticed that Silver was injured and Mama quickly growled at her mate as she moved to Silver and held her down so she couldn't lash out at them, as sleen often did when injured. What would come would make their whelp scream anew in agony. Papa gripped the hook between his front teeth and wrenched it from Silver's ankle before he spat it away. Mama then whined and ruffed at Silver, trying to calm her and soothe her, and then started licking her while Papa went about licking the wound on her ankle. It bled ferociously for a while, but eventually, the male managed to stem the flow.
It took a few hours, but eventually, Silver stopped her crying and howling and she passed out under Mama as the sleen laid on her to soothe her. Silver was young and she had made a mistake that any new Alpha could have done. It just so happened her mistake had been so devastating. Papa continued to look on his whelp with disappointment, but he no longer voiced it, for he could see she was punishing herself far more than he ever could. It was about this time that he caught a scent on the wind, one that he recognised from the night previous.
Taking a wide stance, Papa lifted his shoulders and head high to intimidate the oncoming humans. He was defending his mate and his injured offspring. One of the men saw him and nudged Toranto. "Sir." He said, "Over there. A male sleen on the defensive. Maybe we should give him a wide birth?" He then saw a female lift her head from the grass and growl in a familiar way to Toranto. She knew him and he would know her just by her sound, she hoped. She grunted at Toranto, but didn't get to her feet. She had to keep Silver covered and protected. "Sir?" The man asked.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Toranto halted his men. One hundred warriors moved up and looked at the sleen. Toranto recgonized Mama, but not the male. But he had been with her and Silver at their camp. He knew if those two were there, Silver would be also. He called out, "Silver?" He didn't see her but knew that she would be close and that he still wanted to talk to her.
Back at the Cos Encampment, the dead were taken away and the wounded tended to. The sleen pack had been devestating killing at least fifty men in just a few minutes and wounding another fifty. Luris came to look at the scene of the battle and shook his head. "We must capture her. What a magnificent sight it would be to have her in the arena against men and beast. What entertainment she would be for the people of Cos."
"What of the Sleen Pack?" an officer inquired.
"Put them in cages for now. Let their howls be heard. Perhaps she will try to come and free them, but this time we will be ready for her." he then returned to the tent where Daniel was.
Daniel had heard the battle and the howling of the sleen. He knew who it was and shook his head. Silver had disobeyed him and came after him and it seemed that the entire pack from Sadar was there. He listened and then the howls of pain and anger from the sleen. Again he shook his head and cursed. Sleen alone could not break through the Cos Warriors. Only in conjunction with an army could they really be employed to damage and put fear into warriors.
When Luris came in he had a smile upon his lips. At first Daniel thought that Silver had been captured, but then it was Daniel's turn to smile when Luris spoke. "I heard of your little she sleen slave. She is quite the fighter and deadly. It is to bad we did not capture her. She would have been a fine addition to the arena in Cos. But perhaps my men will capture her here soon enough. I am sure she will not leave the pack in captivity." Again the tent filled with warriors to surround the entire circumferance of the tent. "Such a brave but foolish thing to do. It seemed she was wanting you back very dearly. Such devotion in a slave. I must say you have trained her well and made her desire you much." he laughed and Daniel pulled on the chain wishing it would pull free. If he died he at least would take their ubar with him.
