Drake looks at her with a smile as she and the babies slept. He continues to hum her lullby to keep her asleep. He only stops long enough to take a drink of blood. Angie tries to check up on them but Drake growled whenever she got too close. She says, "No need to get territorial on me Drake."

Hearing her song being hummed she had pleasent dreams, her reoccuring dream of her and him in Scotland. The fields around them. Up here they were alone with their children. She shifted slightly in her sleep as a darkness seemed to press in around the same time as his growl.

She woke up slightly looked up at him. "Drake Hunny are you okay?" She was worried about him.

Drake stops growling as soon as he hears her voice. Angie says, "He does not like anyone being near you but one of the elders are here. She wants to restore his memories but we can't let her see you. She might hurt the babies." Drake says, "She can help me remember?" Angie nods and says, "Yeah she can. She is very close to Drake..."

Brook sat up too quickly and was over whelmed but fear. "Angie please tell me its not Jewel or Tia, both of them have nearly killed me" She looked to Drake. "I love you and I know that you have to go see her, I will hide, but dont feel guilty if anything happens it wont be your fault"

She really would rather him not remember, so much bad things that she knew that he would feel guitly for then face Tia, but maybe it was for the better, Tia was already a vampire.

Finally able to sit up again she looked to Angie, "Where can I hide?" She rubbed herstomach. "Save the babies ifyou have to choose" She pleded with both of them she knew it wouldnt work out that way. She rubbed her stomach again both were being still as ifthey were scared too. She kissed him of the lips. "Drake I love you and I always will no matter what."

She turned to Angie again. "Alright I am ready to hide" She swallowed hard

Angie shakes her head and says, "Its not them. It's his mother..." Drake did not hear her because he was a bit distracted by knowing he was going to get his memory back. Angie hides Brook in her room and then brought Drake downstairs. He kneels before the woman as she is covered by a cloak. She places her hands on his head. A light surrounds his head and his memories come rushing back.

Brook shook as she was told it was his mom. She hide in the room only a little sad, she knew it pained Drake not to have all his memories but there were a lot of memories that she wished that he didnt have, the pain she felt when he had left her, the second crash that she was in, the fact that she was nearly raped when he had left. She huddled in a ball she had hurt him plently of times to, she didnt want him to remember any of that but he deserved to know.

Still in the room she attempted to go into her trance but the babies didnt like it "Too cold" they kept complaining so she stopped that and huddled into the blankets keeping them over her head. Waiting to see if he would come back. She knew it was selfish but when he didnt have any memories he actually needed her for more then just being a soul mate now she was back to being the needy one in the realtionship and in all truth except for her being the mother of his babies and the love of his life she was feeling usless.

Drake came back up to her and uncovered her. He smiles and kisses her on the lips. He says, "Hello my love." He could see the sadness in her eyes. He asks, "What's the matter? Did I do something wrong?" His mother says calmly appearing by Drake, "So this is the young lady who stole my son's heart." Drake looks at her and his eyes grew wide. He says, "Dad killed you." His mother remove her cloak and says, "I was turned into a vampire before I could die."

When Drake uncovered her she smiled and kissed him back. She tried to hide the fact that she upset but she knew that was pointless that Drake would be able to read right through it. She was just about to say that he didnt do anything that it was just her stupidness emotions feeling that she had nothing to bring him, he did everything, took care of her, healed her, protected her, everything and now she felt that other then the babies there was nothing. But before she could tell him that she heard a noise.

She saw the woman and grew a bit nervous. She gasped as she revled that she was his mom. She lookedto Drake and to the mom herhead like a ping pong ball boncing back and forth. She licked her lips waiting to see what would happen next.

Drake's mother looks at Brook and says, "You don't have to hide my dear. I would not hurt the mother of my grandchildren." Drake helps Brook out of the closet. He looks at his mother and asks, "How did you become an elder?" She says, "I married Alexander the man who turned me. I am his soul mate and he just turned out to be an elder." Drake carries Brook back to his room as he and his mother talk back and forth.

Sighing Brook smiled "I figured as much, I am just feeling a little weak" She admitted she rubbed her stomach. "There is twins, one boy and I think the other is a girl, she is the more quiet one, the boy his like his dad loud" She said with a wink.

Gladly wrapping her arms around Drake's neck as he carried her to the bed. She let the mom and son talk and snuggled into the blankets. She watched them with a smile likeing that Drake had his mom back. She closed her eyes and let their soft talk relax her. She made herself forget her problems so that they could have their time. She was missing her cat though. She opened her eyes to listen to the mom and son some more.

Drake and his mother talk about the old days but stops when he senses Brook needs Comet. In flash he went to get Comet and came back with the cat in his arms. He places Comet next to Brook. His mother says, "I can't believe I am going to have grand kids to spoil!!!!!" Drake laughs and says, "Relax mother they are not even born yet." She says, "I know I am just excited..."

Before she could stop him Drake was gone but she grinned when she had her cat. "Thank you" She began petting her cat who was sniffing every inch of her and kissing her he then rested his paws on her stomach protectivly.

Brook relaxed while petting Comet and smiled. "Well I am sure you will make a great grandma" She licked her lips and looked at Drake. "So your back?" She asked a little scared that he would remember all the times she had hurt him. And the times that he had hurt her, when he had bit her and left and all that happened because of that.

Drake looks at Comet and says rubbing the cat's ears, "Such a good boy." He looks at Brook and says calmly, "Yeah I am me again." He kisses her forehead. His mother says, "I just can't wait and oh don't worry about the other elders. Alexander is well...tied around my finger and does whatever I ask of him."

Brook smiled "Seems Comet is already protective of the babies" She looked up at Drake hidding the fear that he would remember all the bad stuff and nodded "Well welcome back my love" She licked her lips she was a bit thristy but didnt want to interupt the family reuinion.

Hearing that there wouldnt be any more problems with the elders Brook sighed "That is good to hear I have to admit I was scared that they would try to take our babies." She looked to Drake and held his hand and squeezed it. "I am happy you came back to me" She said "and I am happy you met your mom"

Drake could remember all the bad things that they have gone through. He kisses her on the lips softly and looks at his mother. She says, "Well the elders would probably become worried that you turned babies into vampires. People who you want to turn must be at least 14."

Hearing what Drake's mom said she sat up quickly too quickly for Comet who meaowed in protest then looked at Drake as if comanding him to calm his mistress down. Brook was having none of it.

"What will they do to my babies it isnt their fault" She started to cry and rub her stomach protectivly. "Please tell me what they will do"

Drake looks at his love and forces her to lay down. His mother says, "Hun they can not do anything. Alexander made sure of it. But if they could your children would be killed." Drake says, "Now Brook you need to to stay calm." He pets Comet calmly.

Once she was forced to lay down again she looked frightened still she listen to his mom. "Alright" She swallowed hard and tried to calm down. The babies kicked her in protest and she sighed. "Okay I am sorry" She rubbed her stomach and hummed softly.

She closed her eyes. "Dont let me sleep too long my love I am sure I am going to have to eat soon" She then opened her eyes and looked at his mom "Thank you for bringing him back to me" (even if he doesnt need me anymore) she silently thought. "And it was great to met you" With that she turned on to her side and held on to her cat and feel asleep.

Drake sighs and lays by her humming to her to keep the bad dreams away. His mother figures its time for her to leave. She says good-bye and leaves the house with a smile. He looks down at her sadly and says softly, "You don't know how much I need you."

Feeling Drake lay beside her she stired slightly then woke up and looked around then turned wincing as the babies had to move to. She frowned "Baby I didnt mean for your mom to leave" She sighed "I'm sorry I thought if I went to sleep you and your mom would talk more"

She stroked his cheek and softly kissed his lips.

Drake looks at her and says, "Why do you think I don't need you? I have waited for you to come along for over a thousand years. I love you. All of your scars, your emotional draw backs. Even those flaws make me love you more. I love you and our babies. I am trying so hard to make things work for us for our babies. But you can't see it..."

Hearing his words Broke began crying. "No baby thats not what I was thinking" She stroked his cheek "This sounds horrible, but when you didnt have your memories you needed me to help you with those and needed me to stay calm" She looked down ashamed "It was like you needed me like I need you"

She bite her lip as the tears continued to flow down her face. "I know you love me and you are doing everthing prefect" She finally looked into his eyes. "I feel horrible for feeling like his" She kissed him on the lips and brought his hand to her stomach. "We all love you" She licked her lips. "I just feel so worthless sometimes I knowyou deserve so much beter, but you are my soul mate" She intwined her fingers into his and stared into his eyes "I know you love me"

Drake kisses her tenderly and says, "Baby I feel like that all the time. I go into a panic whenever I can't see or hear you. I love you really strongly. I need you to keep me sane in this endless existance. I need you with me." He kisses her deeply on the lips.

Hearing his words Brook looked up at him her eyes swollen and red from the crying. "Really" She whispered as he explained things to her. She kissed him back silently saying "I am sorry I love you" into his mind.

She deepened the kiss gently touching his tongue with hers. "I love you so much Drake" She whispered while she took a breath.

Drake looks at her and wipes her tears away. He says with a smile, "Our kids need you too not just me. I love you with all my heart. I need you like you need air to breathe. I just don't show because I know I need to be strong for you. In the time I grew up in as a human, it was the man's job to keep his family happy no matter what is going on. I was just trying not to worry you."
