Yuki smiled some as the king made his comment. "Who said that I would not fight if I needed to? I am a master of using many weapons just as your son is. Just because my gender is female doesn't mean I won't fight for the safety of my people. I don't care if a castle falls. All that is the safety of the people. A kingdom can always be rebuilt." Thorin's comment made her smirk. "Well no it is incomplete..."

[Ekstaze]

The queen placed her hand on her husbands and he looked at her. He liked the way that Yuki stood up for things that to others seemed useless but he would not go as far as to say that Yuki was skilled as much as his son was. "Your courage is refreshing but it takes more then one person to save a country however I will leave this matter to my son as he will be the next king. It will be his choice if he takes a bride" the king got to his feet as well as the queen did. As thing had been going and the way that Thorin was showing his father how he was acting Thorin was sure that his father knew that he didn't want to be married right now nor be king. This was probably just another plan of his father's to get the other kingdom his way. "We bid you farewell for the rest of the day" the queen told Yuki and the two left.

Thorin crossed his arms over his chest, he really didn't want to be left alone with Yuki in such a room. In fact he didn't want to be left alone with her period right now, though he was happy that Beren stayed there with him. "I'm sorry that you feel things at home are incomplete" Thorin told her but that was the extend of it.

Yuki said good bye to the king and queen. She looks at Thorin and says after a few minutes, "You don't really care but that doesn't really matter. I already know your answer. Good bye..." She stood up and went to leave. But then there was a clang on the floor. She sighs and looks for her locket. Hoping to god that he would not see the inside it. She kept the locket close to her heart because it has a picture of Thorin in it. But the locket could not stay closed.

[Ekstaze]

She was doing it again, not talking to him and just leaving. Thorin hoped that Beren would stop her just like he was prevented from leaving but Beren and only stepped to the side. Thorin got to his feet and was about to yell at Yuki once more but saw her stop. His eyes followed the clanging sound to see a locket with his picture. If Yuki didn't care to stay around him or talk to him then why would she keep a picture of him in a locket. "you just love to say a few words and then run out, don't you?" Thorin hissed at her and snatched the locket off the floor. He walked over to her and handed her necklace back to her "and if you truly knew what I was going to say then you wouldn't have tried to leave. I'm not as cruel of a person as my father or what the towns people say. I wish that you would give me the benefit of the doubt and not just act like everyone else in our countries" with that Thorin was the one to walk out of the room and he was happy that Beren hadn't tried to stop him but instead Beren stayed in the room with Yuki "The Prince is hardly home anymore and refuses to take the throne. As strong of a woman as you are I hope the best for you two" Beren told Yuki and then held the door open for her "Should I escort you to your ride or do you wish for me to get a room ready for you?"

Yuki huffs slightly as she was not used to getting flustered because of a boy. She watched Thorin leave. She looks at Beren a moment and says, "If you would not mind can you prepare a room for me? I still have to leave for an hour. I have to explain myself to my father. Mother knew I was doing this but father didn't. I will have my things by then as well." She then went out to contact her parents and get her things. Within an hour she returned just as she said she would.

[Ekstaze]

Beren bowed his head to her "As you wish Princess" with that he walked off to talk to one of the maids and get the room ready for her. Though it wasn't like it was that much of a problem though the issue was, what room to place her in. Beren wasn't sure if he should place her next to Thorin's room or his parent's or in her own wing of the castle. He was trying everything he could to make sure the prince didn't pass up something that was good for him but he couldn't force the boy to do what was needed for himself.

Thorin walked to his room quickly, he didn't want to be bothered anymore today. Actually the thing on his mind was going to town and filling up on supplies and then heading out on another trip. He wondered how Korlis was doing at the moment as well even though most of his brain was thinking of Yuki "Korlis?" He called softly after entering his room and then he saw the cat fast asleep on his bed. "You silly cat" he said with a bit of a smile and walked over to lay down.

"Welcome back Princess, your room has been prepared" Beren walked up to her and bowed. "If you will follow me" he told her and lead her to the wing of the castle that most of Thorin's maids and butlers occupied as well as the prince himself. Beren decided though not to make their rooms too close together but maybe if he could push it a little and make sure that they met at least once before Yuki left then maybe something could change. That was if Thorin didn't sneak off in the middle of the night for another trip.

Yuki followed Beren calmly to her room. Internally she was yelling at herself for falling in love with such a pain in the ass. Honestly she really wanted to disappear. She unpacks her things and then decided to freshen up. She took a shower and then put on a shirt that showed a lot of deep scars on her upper body and jeans. If Thorin wanted to be an ass fine. She was going to enjoying being home for a while.

Thorin fell asleep like that, he hadn't planned to go to bed yet but his body had other plans. That just meant that he would have to hold off on his trip for another day. In the morning though Thorin woke up in a hurry, he pulled several things from his closet and drawers to stuff them into a bag. He walked over to the bed and tried to wake the sleeping cat because he really didn't want to go on a trip without his companion. "Come on Korlis, get up already" he shook the cat but it just made Korlis roll to his other side and fall back asleep. "Fine, I'll go get some breakfast and then we'll leave" he told him and headed out of his room dressed in the same thing he was the day before. "Good morning Prince Thorin" "Morning Beren. Anything to take care of this morning?" The two walked down the hall as Beren relayed the events of the day like Thorin was actually going to do something. "You do realize that the next chance I get I'm leaving" Thorin told him much like he had told Beren previous times. "Well I figured with Princess Yuki staying here that you would change your mind" that comment stopped Thorin in his tracks. "She stayed here?" He questioned a little surprised and Beren nodded his head yes. Thorin cleared his throat and continued down to the kitchen.

Yuki was already up and in the kitchen. She made herself some coffee. She says when she sees the boys, "Well good morning boys...not like you Thorin to stay inside a whole night." Korlis was probably too tired to do as Thorin wanted. She whistles softly and a wolf comes to her side. She gets up not caring if the boys saw all her deep scars on her upper body. She walks out to the gardens with her wolf by her side. An large deep X shape scar on her back is visible as she walks away from the boys.

Thorin stops at the entrance to the kitchen, he really needed to get himself under control because if she was staying here he couldn't keep freezing up. But it wasn't like he had anything nice to say to her though most of the words that he thought of knew would only hurt her more. Beren on the other hand greeted her like he would anyone and proceed into the kitchen. Thorin watched Yuki leave the kitchen and his first thought was Korlis having a fit about the wolf in his home and then Yuki. "Yuki wait" Thorin called but she had already left the room. "Good try but maybe next time say something before she leave" Beren told him and he got a glare "Hey at least I didn't snap at her besides why should I even do anything. Just because she's a girl doesn't mean I have to treat her like she's special" Thorin scowled at Beren and walked into the kitchen grabbing himself a small breakfast "Other then the fact that she is probably only one who could help make this situation more peaceful" Beren got himself a cup of coffee and sat at the small table in the kitchen where Thorin had sat "I never wanted to be apart of any of this also it's not my fault that her mother and father tried to deceive my parents so why should I fix it" "because you are the future king and it is your duty to make sure this country stays the way it is or better" Beren explained to him making Thorin push his food away from himself. "You do realize that if we make this arrangement it will be just like it was before. As you can see Yuki doesn't want to be here and the marriage would just be political. I want someone to be with me because they want to, not because they have to" Thorin grabbed his coffee and was about to leave the room "Go fix it Thorin" Beren told him which then Thorin sighed heavily. If it made things better for a while then he might as well try, maybe they could talk things out and figure out why everything was so tense.

Thorin followed after Yuki trying to think of what he would even say to her. There were things that he wanted to ask but knew he shouldn't and then there were other things that he wanted to yell but that would end badly as well. He walked to the garden and then rested against the frame of the door watching her as he sipped at his coffee "Present from your parents?" Thorin asked her because there wasn't anything else that he could think of to say to her.

Yuki shook her head and says answering his question, "Ryu is to me what Korlis is to you." She looked at him and says after turning away from him again. "Don't you know what you mean to me yet you silly man? I figured it would be obvious by now." Ryu looked at Thorin and barked softly in greeting. Yuki was doing her best not to pin Thorin to the wall and slapping the hell out of him.

[Ekstaze]

He wasn't sure how to take her answer but sipped at his coffee as he moved towards the dog "Well nice to meet you Ryu" Thorin turned to Yuki a little bit "though that didn't really answer my questions. You didn't mention Ryu before so I assumed he was a present" he told her and then walked a bit into the garden. He wasn't sure how to take her other comment or what she was referring to because if she was referring to him then she sure had a funny way of showing that she liked him. "Are you liking it in the Charles Kingdom?" Thorin really was trying to hold his tongue on several things but it was becoming harder and as his mind worked on things he finally turned around to face Yuki "If I'm a silly man then you are-no that's not fair to say nor should it be said. Why did you really leave? I fought with my parents for something that I wasn't even sure if it was there or not and then you just leave"

Yuki looks at him standing up and facing without fear. "Ryu has been my secret for a long time. He is a rare breed of wolf. I didn't want him hunted." She bit her lip some at his next question. "I was scared for one thing. So much had happened and I needed a sense of something normal. Secondly I honestly didn't feel comfortable being here after what happened between your parents and mine. I didn't want to bother you with my problems so I left. I know I should not have done that. But when you have only had yourself to rely on for years, your first instinct is to run. Like right now I want to run away from you because I am not used to getting so flustered by a man. I am afraid of what I might say to you or do."

[Ekstaze]

Thorin could understand that, it had taken years for the town to be comfortable with him walking through with Korlis without someone trying to hurt him or scare him off. He nodded his head at her explanation of why she left and was just happy to finally get an answer out of her that seemed like the truth, Thorin just wished that she would have trusted him more in the fact that he would protect her from any bad. Be it as his friend or more. "Everyone gets scared. I have been since the moment my father announced I would be getting married and then even more so when it seemed like you would leave and when you did it hurt" Thorin explained to her and he could understand wanting to run away. He wanted to do that as well right now, Thorin wanted to get his bag, grab Korlis and his horse and leave that instant. "But I really shouldn't blame you for how you acted. I mean it wasn't like I had the right to say or do something to prevent you from doing as you wanted...well I should go get Korlis up so that he can get some breakfast too, I've kind of been running him all over the place"

She saddened some. "I am not used to being able to rely on someone. Part of me wished that you would come after me...but then I started doubting myself more. I could not face you. Then at the fashion show you seemed so cold. You did not want me around anymore. So I left thinking it was what you wanted. Although that could have been because once my emotions grip me, I can't listen to anything else. Like before I left for the Charles Kingdom, I know you yelled something at me but I didn't hear a single word. By then my emotions gripped every part of my body. "

Yuki gently touched his arm. "Let Korlis rest Thorin. He seemed out of sorts. Ryu has been out of wack as well. I think that they can sense something coming that we can't." She gently keeps her hand on his arm. He was still as warm as she remembered. God he was still perfect. Well almost perfect. He was still a stubborn mule but she was the same way. So she didn't mind their petty fights. Hell most of the time she enjoyed getting him jumbled just so she could calm him down again.

[Ekstaze]

Thorin had thought many times to go after her but unless he wanted to start the war he couldn't do that. Yes he could have gone there for diplomatic reasons but Thorin knew himself better then that. If he was going there with the intent of bring Yuki back then he would have just barged into their territory and grabbed Yuki while dragging her back whether she was kicking and screaming or not. He took a deep breath and listened to what she had to say but all of that seemed irrelevant now, she was here and Thorin was not going to let her leave again. If that meant swallowing his pride he might do it and if it meant locking her in her room Thorin might do that as well.
"You may be right about that" he told her and decided to take a seat on the porch, even he was still exhausted from his last trip but the longer he stayed at home the more he felt trapped.

Yuki looks at Thorin with an internal worry as she could sense something was up. She sits next to him. “You know I….I like to go on another trip with you again…if that is okay? We did not really get to finish our last one and I was hoping to show you something.” She looks down at her hands feeling nervous. She wanted to show him a place she would go when things were bad at home. It brought her peace and she hoped it would do the same for him.

[Ekstaze]

Thorin was a bit shocked that Yuki would still like to travel with him, he figured after what had happened that she didn't really want much to do with him. He looked out at the yard trying to think of what he should say, his heart was telling him to tell her yes but his head was yelling at him to be logical. Thorin knew that if they went on a trip there would be a lot of people they had to talk to first and a set itinerary so no one worried or screamed war because they left. Things were so much similar a few months ago "It would be nice to have someone come along again. Korlis is good company but there's only so much silence I can take" he finally told her but still refused to fully look at her. Could it be that easy to just go away with her again? He knew things would be awkward, probably more so then the first time.

Yuki looks at him and says looking down at her hands again, “I know a lot has changed between us but I am still the same girl you knew before all the drama and everything else happened. I am sorry…I never meant to hurt you…” She got up and whistled to Shadow. She says to Thorin, I will be in my room if you want to talk. I won’t force you to tolerate me.” She then started to walk to her room.

[Ekstaze]

Her words were true and he was trying to make things better like Beren told him to but is was hard. She may be the same girl as before but he had changed, a lot. Thorin listened to her words and turned to her just as she went inside, his jaw flex and Thorin had to hold himself back from yelling at her once more. Why did she always get up and walk away like she knew what he was going to do and say? With a heavy sigh he got to his feet and wandered back inside.

"How'd it go?" Beren was cleaning up the dishes and Thorin just walked through the kitchen "Like I thought it would" was all he said and headed off towards his room to check on Korlis.

Yuki went to her room and lay on her bed with Shadow. Why did she even bother to come here? He could not even bare to look at her. She let a few angry tears escape before packing a bag and sneaking out to her secret place, leaving a note that she went to a place to think. Within five hours she made it to a huge lake and waterfall. She set up camp and just camped out for a while.

Thorin walked into his room to find Korlis at the door scratching and as soon as that door was open the cat bolted past him. "I tried to wake you" he called to the cat and followed him downstairs and out one of the side doors. So apparently he had to use his bathroom bad and when the cat was finished he came trotting up to Thorin "I'm glad that you are looking better" he pat the top of Korlis' head and they walked back inside so Thorin could get him breakfast.

"So what do you say to another trip Korlis?" Thorin asked the cat while he was in the middle of eating and the giant cat stopped and looked at him "Just a shot one with Yuki and her companion" he clarified and the cat seemed to lighten up and finish his food. "Running away again?" Thorin almost missed the words but turned around to see his father coming into the kitchen, that was a rare sight and it showed on Thorin's face "I've been looking for you. I wanted to know how the negotiations went with Princess Yuki" his father asked and Thorin rested against the counter once more "I'm not running away. I was just talking to Korlis about going on a small trip with Yuki and as for the treaty we haven't talked about it" Thorin walked over to Korlis as a sign to his father that he really didn't want to talk to him. "There will be no more trips for you until an agreement can be reach, if one can not be agreed upon then there will be war" his father told him and Thorin turned to face him "Why is it one or the other with you? Are you that in a hurry to take over the Charles Kingdom? What is so great about that land anyways?" Thorin huffed to his father "This has been going on long enough. Your first marriage arrangement took five years and it is our destiny to extend our power" Thorin didn't like his father's answer and apparently nether did Kolis because his hackles were raised "Well you told Princess Yuki that it was me who would be making the decision this time and my decision is to go at my own pace. If you don't like it then that's too bad. Let's go Korlis" Thorin stormed out of the kitchen just to get away from his father but even though he wasn't planning on it Thorin walked striaght off the castle grounds and into town.

In town people were buzzing with gossip. See it had come to find out that Yuki had been asked by several princes of stronger kingdoms to marry them but she denied them all saying that her heart was already taken and not given back to her yet. The people were excited by the idea of a torn romance even though they were not hurt if their prince cared for her. Meanwhile Yuki laid back and listened to the rushing waters trying to get Thorin out of her head.

[Ekstaze]

Town hadn't been a good idea either, he wanted to get away from everything that was going on at the castle and yet it seemed to follow him here as well. He would walk a couple of feet and hear another rumor. Though the gossip sounded real but Thorin couldn't trust the words that people spouted. "Stay close Korlis" he told the cat who had been several paces in front of him and soon the cat was back at his side.

"Is it true?" Someone walked up to him asking and then several others surrounded him, he could feel Korlis' fur raise and he patted the top of the cats head. "I can honestly say I have no idea what you girls are talking about" Thorin answered them but they didn't seem to like that answer, more girls crowded him and asked more questions "I'm sorry but as of now the matter stays within the castle walls. Now please let me pass" Thorin told them and they finally backed away from him. With the cleared path Thorin and Korlis made their way towards the north gate of the kingdom.

Yuki looks at the sky as the sun was just starting to go down. Shadow lays beside her as she says, "I am such an idiot Shadow. I have fallen in love with someone who cannot even bare to look at me." Many suitors had asked for her hand in marriage but she could not break her heart away from Thorin. She falls asleep listening to the waterfall
