Nicholas looks at her with a smile as she ate the food. The children already ate their dinner and were practicing their control of their powers. He says, "I am doing okay. Every child got their powers while you were gone. Rebecca and Andrew worked together to make a strong medicine for the kids. Since then the children have been practicing with me and the boys every day except for today." He rubs the back of his neck. "Those tracking creatures came back but I kept them away from the orphanage. Those things are strong but they can't take hits."

Keita nodded and listened to what was said "I see, but make sure not to over work ok?" she said "what about the girls I could help out with them" she said to him. "Also I noticed a few of them are adapters as well, I think they made me touch something with very sensitive senses which I absorbed the DNA of" she muttered before he asked. "I also found out something else rather disturbing. How they went missing, the children were taken from schools they were sent to by the orphanages…but what concerns me is I've not heard of such schools in the area, I looks at some maps before I came down but, they don't exist." she muttered keeping her voice low so only he'd hear. "Also those monsters we saw…they're being sold to high buyers in order to search for us, there is defiantly something bigger going on here"

Nick looks at her a moment taking in the information. “This still does not make sense. We endure the testing and they want us to die just so we can be part of those crazy undead this. There has to be something bigger going down. It is almost like they are getting ready for a war or something.” He thinks about the children and the schools. “They were sold to the lab by the people at the orphanages. It makes sense. They get paid big money for the test subjects and then also get paid by the government to take in more kids. They are pocketing all the money.”

"Now I have an answer to that, they need mutated humans with abilities in order to make specific beasts" she said to him "So we should expect some more of those things coming around here" she groaned and ruffled her hair a little."We need to make sure they don't get dragged into a war if that's what they're planning but such a thing makes sense. After all it's the rich who started this and they profit from such things" she muttered. "Anyway we ned to make sure they all remain safe but they still need to be educated somehow or they won't survive in the outside world once they do get adopted which I'm becoming more and more worried about, what if they do the same as the orphanages?" she asked sounding very worried.

“So all we are…are parts for these beasts.” He slams his fist into the counter. “Part of me wishes that I could just wipe out normal people.” He takes a few minutes to calm down. Nicholas says calmly, “Rebecca already fixed the school issue. They will all be enrolled in a homeschooling program online. That way they do not get subjected to being sold again. As for working the adoption so the so called parents do not get the same idea, we have a lot of tests the couples have to pass.”

Keita jump when he slammed his fist on the counter "Calm yourself" she said softly. "and sounds like an idea that's for sure and it would be a good idea to teach the kids who to get back here if they do feel in danger or give them a way to contact us just encase… am I over reacting?" she asked him "and what you said before in a way yes but they need to kill the children first otherwise it doesn't work" she said to him shivering a little and shook her head. "I saw them putting one together jut before i left, but I'm sure you saw that as well" she shivered slightly. "Anyway let's just work on keeping this lot safe and picking up any others we can free from them.

Nick shuddered at the memory of seeing them put one of those monsters together. “God that was something I never wish to see again.” He thinks about her concerns. Teach the kids how to get back here if they do feel in danger? No people could follow them here and then everyone would in danger. Give them a way to contact them? He could make something that could not be copied. “No you are not overreacting. But we have to do everything in steps or we will alarm the children.”

"Same here and I know, but it gives us a good enough amount go time to be able to get things sorted" she said softly. Standing up she stretched out looking to him for a moment in silence. Not saying a word before she headed back upstairs for the time being, she wasn't feeling too great still so wanted to make sure the kids didn't see her. She lay down on her front on his bed again thinking. "Now then if I remember his birthday isn't too far away" she muttered another thing she and remembered as well as trying to figure out how to block her mind from him during such times so he couldn't read her thoughts so much.

He watched her go as he kept thinking of ways the children could find or get back to them if anything were to happen. Something he could make were only the kids or Keita could use. He did not want the scientists to be able to use one if they got their hands on one. Then he made an odd shaped crystal appear in his hands, “DNA encrypted gems.” He smiles and starts to make the gems into forms of jewelry for the kids.

Keita sighed and ruffled her hair before looking around for Rebecca hoping she'd know something. "Umm Rebecca, I have a question" she said "What kind of things does Nick like, I just can't think of what sort of thing to get him for his birthday, can you give me a hand?" she asked her shifting since she was rather embarrassed.

Sakura was running around, bumping into Nick she looked at the crystal "Pretty, what it?" asked the little girl looking at the gem curiously, some of the other young ones gathered around looking at it with curiosity and want for the object after all it was something they'd never seen before "can we have one?" she asked pointing to herself smiling.

Nick chuckled at the children as he had been caught. “Everyone is going to get one when I get them finished. You see these are some special gifts for you children. So if you ever get in trouble, all you have to do is touch the pretty stone and you will be brought to me or Kat.”

Rebecca looked at her a moment. “Sure. Believe it or not, Nick likes to paint. He has not been able to paint for a while now. Been too busy making sure everyone else is happy. Maybe you could get him some painting supplies?” She goes back to tending the garden. “I bet that would make him very happy.”

Keita thought for a moment and smiled "Thanks, that helps a lot, I'll remember that next time Rebecca, also I know there is an art shop not too far away" she said thinking "I might need you to cover for me though and I need him to be distracted enough so he doesn't know what I'm doing during that time as well" she said "Hmm, maybe I could get the ids to help me with that" she smiled. It really was hard to hide things from him with that link of theirs.

Going downstairs she saw him with the kids and smiled before going to some of the others "Hey, I need you to distracted Nick for a while, get him to focus on something else ok, I need to go out for a moment and he can't know what I'm doing ok?" she said to them. Nodding they smiled mischievously and did just that getting him to explain about the crystals to them when they went over.

Nick finished one just as some of them asked him to explain more about the crystals. He smiles some and takes a child by the hand. Then has the child touch the gem. The gem glows red for a moment before turning green and then back to white. He puts the necklace around the child’s neck. “Okay it will only respond to you now. Go up to your room and press a finger to the gem.” The child quickly goes to their room and touches the gem. In an stant the child is back downstairs with him. “That’s how it works.”

Meanwhile she did sneak out climbing through the window in her room she made sure that the place was safe and no one or nothing was watching her and disguised herself going out cautiously she sniffed a little. "Ok should be around here" she muttered and eventually found the place. she looked around and found some good painting and sketch pads for him as well as getting some new paints and brushes for him. Heading to the counter she paid for it before putting it all in a bag hoping that he'd ben distracted enough for her to have at least bought them and get out of the shop. She got back just in time and stuffed the things in her room before heading back down "I see so that's what you were planning?" she asked looking over his shoulder and smiling a little.

Nick felt her come back and down to him. By the time she got back, he had finished all but six of the necklaces. “Yeah, I thought the kids would like something that was pretty and people would not think to look at jewelry as a safety device. The chains cannot break and they cannot come off. The chain cannot choke the wearer either.” He looks at her, “Where did you go?”

She nodded "That is a good idea, want me to help out?" she asked him, "or rather can I help out and as for where I went, you'll find out in time" she kissed his cheek smiling a little. She later thanked the kids the kids that helped her out as well. "Thank you lot, I appreciate it" she said and gave them some cookies to share amongst them as thanks. But she really did need to make sure he didn't find the present until his birthday at least.

Nick looks at her with a smile and says, “No there are only six of them left to do but maybe you could help me with something else. I ordered a swing set and it arrive while you were captured. But no matter what I did, it will not stay together. Would you mind helping me put it together later?” He was blushing in embarrassment.

Keita nodded "Ok then, I'll have a look and we can try putting it together in a bit" she said unable to stop herself laughing a little bit when he blushed "You're so cute when you blush" she whispered in his ear, kissing him softly and quickly. After that she went and had a look at the swing set finding it's box she read the instructions and thought for a moment before looking inside smiling "I see he forgot these parts" she said picking out some connectors at the very bottom of the box. When he came over to help her they began putting it together and soon enough it was done. "That should do it?" she said "They didn't mention the connectors in the instructions and the bag was glued to the bottom of the box" she sighed.

Nick looks at her as they worked on it together. He thumps himself in the head and says, “I am so stupid. But think they design it to make it look like people are stupid.” He looks at her with a smile. He steals a kiss and then tenses up as the pain comes back. “Sorry I think I have to lie down.” He goes to his room slowly.

Keita blushed a little when he stole a kiss before seeing the pain and took his hand "Come on then" she said and got him up to his room so he could lie down "I'll bring you some water ok?" heading out of the room for a moment and got him a glass of water. She stayed there with him still worrying whenever he went through such pain. "Try and focus on something else" she said and kissed him gently. "and next time don't apologise for such a thing" speaking softly and holding his hand sitting beside him.
She did have to get up to go help with getting the kids to bed and checked that his present was still where she'd left it before heading back "Might be best you get some rest and move up a little as well" she smiled before settling beside him. "You feeling any better?"

Nick looks at her and nods slowly as she went to get the water and check on everything. He moves so he is sitting up in the bed. When she came back, he was coughing up blood. He says, “The experiments they did on you, are not agreeing with my body.” He was in trouble this time. He could feel his body breaking down little by little. They may have not found her breaking point but they had found his. Without a large fresh dose of the serum, he could very well die.

Keita looked rather worried "Then you should have cut the link off" she said to him sensing he really was in trouble. "How long can you hang on?" she asked him, "If you can hang on long enough I can get some of that serum for you, I don't think Andrew can imitate the serum yet" she sighed and kissed him "I'll be right back so don't you dare die" She checked with the other three to see if they had any of the serum or knew who to make it quickly. If not then she heads rout once again, tracking down a lab nearby and fount heir supplies on the serum, she tried to bring back as much as she could. If he died then so did she and that was not something she wanted to happen. Making sure it was put somewhere out of view and reach of the children she checked up on him "Their security is lax, I found an old lab, luckily the serum was still ok to use, how much do you need?" she asked him still rather worried.

Nick looks at her weakly and says, “You know if I break the link, you will endure all the pain you were meant to all these years. You would most likely die.” He looks away from her and says, “But I will do it as you ask.” He slowly breaks the link making all her memories come back to her like a flood. Last was the pain like a lung crushing bear hug. He starts bleeding faster and says, “I need as much as you can get of the serum.”

Keita groaned "good thing you didn't cut it until I got back" she said as all her memories returned she shook it off and headed downstairs bringing up as much as she could "I'll hook this up like a drip ok?" she asked him still rather worried and in pain but still stayed there and tried to make sure he would be ok first. she hook up the serum and then stopped the bleeding bandaging him up and tending to any other wounds.

Nick looks at her weakly as he felt her treating him. His body was pale and he was clearly growing closer and closer to his end. Once the drip was set up, he hit the button ten times and the serum rushed into his body. His veins turn green and his body trembled. “Kat you need to go. I don’t want you to see me like this. Weak and infected.”
